Bertom Denoiser before this plugin would go a long way to clean up that noise floor without actually being a "gate" on your playing. Have you ever checked it out? I have a how-to on my channel. Its badass and free.

Cheers. Cheap m audio monitors and Cheap Sony earbuds. Reference mixing is almost never talked about but that's how I learned. Know your speakers and you can mix.
