Love your videos! Something about haying that gets a person in touch with what we’re really all about. The feeling I get from “riding along”with you dealing with hay bales, etc. reminds me of the feeling I used to get when I was a kid and helped my neighbor hay back on the farm in North Dakota in the 1950’s. He had a team of 2 big draft horses that pulled the hay wagon and would let me drive the horses with the reins as he walked along side and threw hay onto the hay wagon with a pitch fork. Keep up the excellent work and good luck with the tractors!

We have a MF 5713S and have had no issues (knock on wood). We have a great dealer that I deal with and my dad has dealt with since the early 1970s. They have been selling Massey Ferguson, White, Hesston, AGCO and have now added Fendt. We have multiple new 'S' models on our farm and they all have been great (and very easy on fuel & "government juice"). Sorry for your troubles Dennis.
Boy is that a bummer to see! Glad to see some honest review here and not some parking lot demonstration video. Guess I'll run my 5400 series till it dies. I couldn't handle that ride. You bounce worse in that than the smaller chassis series. No excuse for that ride. And I'm a massey fan. I can see that needs some definite improvements though. And side note, my dyna 4 transmission is much simpler than that. Much simpler. Definitely better matched for hay than how many functions that model has. It truly looked overwhelming.
My neighbor has a 5713 and I agree with the suspension, a/c, and the transmission dropping gears in the field when you get to the end of the row or something. The tractor wouldn't pull his new holland 450 silage special baler on decent ground, it would cause the tractor to overheat. I agree with alot of your points. Hope you are enjoying your new tractor and I hope my guess is right!!

I too could hardly believe the bouncing you were doing in that cab. That's awful! One thing's for certain,..you just proved the value of being able to test drive/operate it before making that financial commitment.
Does the suspension have 2 settings .soft or hard ?. It has a gima back end so has my 2004 renault and the brakes on it are very good .its like it wasnt set up properly leaving the factory ?. But the leaking cab is a no no it wouldnt last p...ing time here.
@@liammulligan4355 I wonder if the cab suspesion wasn't put together correctly or something broken.... the 7616 I got one of the cab bracket mounts was broke when it first arrived and was causing a rough ride. Dealer fixed and swapped out all suspension parts so everything was brand new, and rides like a dream ever since.
@@farming4g yeah i blame the dealer .the least i would expect would be to be told to take it away for a day if there are any issues let us know and our service team will sort it out . Its strange how complacency sets in .
An interesting chat about a different tractor. You sure did seem to be bouncing around a lot. Well, now I know a lot more about these tractors than I used to. Another interesting and informational video, well done !
Sorry to here the Massey didn't work out for you Dennis, good thing you were able to try it out. At the end of the video you mentioned you have a different Tractor home now. Can't wait to see it.👍
Sometimes all the bells and whistles are just too much sugar for the nickel and just more issues down the road! Looking at getting something btw 75hp and 120hp myself before long so I appreciate the reviews!
Wow, I have a number of Massey tractors, I really like them. Your field is rough, show us you bouncing around in the Ford! In my opinion your only valid point is having to get out and manipulate manual valves to change from rear remotes to the loader. Take a moment to learn the transmission, you would soon love it.
So the roof leaking, the two hydraulic leaks and the breaks not working aren’t valid concerns on a brand new tractor? Sorry but I’m not buying junk like that. And I do own a different Massey and love it but just because Massey made it doesn’t mean I’m going to blindly love it. It has to prove something to me no matter what the brand.
Dennis I am not a farmer but I got to do you I feel so sorry or For You that hurt me sitting in this Lazy Boy watching you drive that tractor thank you for your honesty hope you all have a good year this year later
I was surprised you didn't park it sooner Dennis, that bouncing around every second would have put me over the edge by itself, let alone the other things wrong with it. Even the old style cabless tractors with the pan seats didn't ride that bad(lol), I know, I drove many of them over the years.
Check out the 6700S Series they are large frame MidRange and more Apple to Apple Comparison to same as the Deere model you demo. Full Hood versus HiViz Hood. You can get 29GPM Closed Center Hydraulics and no need for combined flow. Also I never seen that Loader/Rear Remote System most have switch in cab that you can change between. I'd go talk to your dealer and try something more comparable. Best thing is build to order exactly what you want and you can save big dollars on AGCO Pre-Sell Program. I think the Short Chassis in your rough fields are not compatible with the 5700S. Did you know you can get the Dyna4 in the new 5700 Global Series which is like your 4700. It's coming end of the year 2019. Love your honest reviews. But there are some settings that could have changed some of your concerns. Surprised salesman not involved in Demo Process to teach how to get the most out of the tractor.
I have figured out my dealer is not what I thought they we're wish you where closer you seem honest and straight forward. My dealer would never even give me a straight answer on a price for this tractor only estimated payments.
@@DLHFarms Wow. If you ever have questions about product let me know. Wish I could have shown you how to use some of the added features of the 5700S or better yet the 6700S series. Love your videos. Doug 660-584-2250
I thought that would be the one. I take my last comment back. Your right the not stopping on the hill would have been it for me. I guess your fields have got a bit greener, lol. Take care.
Dang it Dennis can't keep something like that secret. Sure was nice to see Dorsey again he sure is growing like a weed. Excellent job on the review of the Massey.
Sorry to hear you didn't like the Massey... Really it sounds like a great big lemon. Never heard of having to switch a valve to run the loader or the rear remotes. I really like my 7616. Good luck with the Deere!
I hate that it went this way I was very disappointed because I'm a big fan of my little 4710 it's been great so I was expecting big things from this tractor
@@DLHFarms I remember Spring Hollow Hay Farm had a 5600 series tractor and he really liked it... I wonder if the 5700 might be a huge step back from your experience. Was the 5712 a 3 or 4 cylinder engine?
@@farming4g it was a 4cyl and spring hollow is the reason I wanted that tractor it seemed like the perfect tractor for my operation. I know he got rid of his maybe there was more to it than He said.
I am surprised that the Massey didn’t have an electronic diverter valve for the loader/remotes. Even our John Deere 3720 has an electronic diverter vale to run the rear remotes or the loader and it cuts each off when you switch to the other. Glad you were able to give this a try rather than buy it and have to live with it until you would be able to get rid of it. Great video as always!
I was not impressed before you ever had it in the field when I saw that goofy external loader valve. That alone was the kiss of death for me. And now with all the other issues you've ran experienced.... now way I'd purchase the Messy tractor.
Yea I've never seen that before with the loader switching valve.... that'd be a big no-no for me too even for me being a massey fan, that tractor didn't fare too well at all.
Shocked how demo went Dennis .standerd roof and Dyna 4 which is so much easier to understand.front suspension is the way to go.all that would feel a different tractor .don't understand how brakes so bad . understand your feelings on demo tractor.good Look with the new tractor you have purchased Dennis .
Good to see an honest review. Like you I don't care what color it is I want what suits me and a good dealer. Tractors are a big investment and it is good to take the time to check them out before you sign on the line.
The only thing Massey Ferguson on these AGCO tractors above about 50 hp is the MF decals. I'm a commercial poultry grower and 20 years ago MF was the premier tractor to use in a poultry house using 3 point hitch implements. Not the case any longer.
Dennis, Glad you found a tractor that fit's your needs. Now How about that Boy, he is getting so big. Just wait till he can Eat his weight in Groceries..I remember mine at 16 yrs old.I told his mom didn't we just buy groceries.....
None of those issues sounded petty to me, I know if you spend all day on a machine those things add up quick. Can’t wait to see what you ended up with.
You made a good choice man, that's alot of money to spend on something. Have to like what your running when you spend so much time in it. Hope you got a nice new deere tho lol.
Playing devil's advocate, suspension has settings, maybe adjusting it to tune it into what feels good for you , I get the looks part but i like the visability and for me that's more important than the looks, not that looks isn't nothing but it sure has nothing to do with production or performance etc, these tractors these days have some many thing with electronics options, its just so many tuning things you can do it can get to the point that it's more aggravating than just straight to the point basics
you have to be 100% happy when your paying for it. perhaps it was built on a friday afternoon or monday morning. glad your happy what what every you decided to buy,
I agree, the massey just has to many problems right out of the gate! plus you have to think whats going to happen 5 or six months down the road with other problems.
There is a tractor Dennis you should look at, as I am in the middle of negotiating the purchase of one for delivery in Dec/Jan, that is the DEERE 5125R. It definitely ticks all the boxes for me, and I think it might suit your type of work. The problem I see when you go to around 130 hp, you end up with a bigger clumsy frame of a tractor. The Deere is compact, lots of grunt, great with a loader and is available with an 8 speed power shift. My land is steep and wet so a big tractor is a liability I will be ordering mine with 600 x 34 rears for flotation and to keep the cg down a bit, and 480 x 24 fronts, 3speed pto 540, 540e, and 1000, mechanical cab suspension and sprung front axle, hydraulic and air trailer brakes and a 543R MSL loader with mechanical joystick, with suspension and 3rd service. 3 mechanical spools and 1 electric with 120L/min pump. I will let you know if it goes ahead. I guess at the end of the day it's down to what deal can be struck with the dealer.
@@DonegalTDI it's going to be a few days before I get to that video so I'll tell you I really liked that tractor. It was a 5115R with no loader all they had on the lot to demo but really nice machine it had the 32 speed auto
this video needs to be sent to AGCO headquarters in Georgia so they can hopefully learn from it. Also in my opinion the dealer REALLY dropped the ball !!! I have a 5611 and I also was told to stay away from that style roof. My hay operation is very similar to yours. Really enjoy your channel.
Thanks Harry. I now have a problem with my dealer because of this tractor they say I bought it but I never signed a paper or even knew the exact cost of it just the approximate payment they never even checked my credit.
Noticed the cab was moving but was there some kind of button to make the suspension active ?? Granted its a short wheelbase tractor so they all ride ruff . Kinda a suprise that they never came out and got you goin on it and the leaks should be something they could have pulled in fixed the right way under warrant. Agco really only has one good mid size tractor line and its from the Fendt line . All in all to get the best ride with cab suspension you really need front end suspension then its a great ride but most smaller tractors dont offer it
No it's mechanical suspension it is what it is, no on or off switch. I don't want another warranty nightmare ive already had too many of those. The T5 rides just fine with cab suspension only and it's a shorter tractor than the Massey.
Thought that the Massey looked the goods to bad it didn’t all combine into a good package in the field. I knew from the start that that front loader disconnect lever would end up being an issue in exactly the same situation as you found.
You big tease!!!! LOL Wow i was expecting so much more from the Massey. The ride looked horrific, even before you said anything, I was thinking you looked like a pc of popcorn inside a popper! lol HURRY UP and post the video with the new tractor already.. :D
Wow i couldn't believe how much you were being bounched around i don't blame you a bit like i have said i am a massey guy but nah nah all you found wrong with it thats crazy I have been looking at Case from what little i have heard sound good good luck Dennis God Bless.
Well I guess I'll have to eat crow because I'm about as diehard Massey as it gets. We have had REALLY good luck with Massey with many tractors and thousands of hours but we have always been in the 7000 and 8000 series. Except for a 5465 that we used to have which was always a really good tractor too. I also have a little 1526 I really like. Never tested or drove 5700 series. Sad that it's that screwed up. If that tractor comes out of the famed Beauvais factory in France it is a shame to their name. Dennis, if you don't get the $8k squared away at the dealer I can get you a number of an Agco guy that should be able to help. I have learned that it always works better to deal with huge full line dealers like Binkley and Hurst or MM Weaver. I can tell you the deal at the dealership would have gone a lot better even if the tractor was a lemon.
Thanks! I don't have anything against Massey I have one that has been great its just this particular one for me that just didn't make the cut, no doubt that Massey makes good tractors I just don't know what happened to this one. I may need to get that number from you, I'm working with a lawyer on this now he says I owe them nothing but I did have him offer them something for their time and effort but they will not respond.
@@DLHFarms I know I've said it before but I'm going to say it again. You need to deal with Binkley and Hurst in Dayton VA. It looks like they are only two hours or so away from you? They are top notch. While I am making no excuses for the tractor (it was bad and you gave an honest review) the dealer and demo part could have been much different at B&H. If I were you I would go there for all your parts/service you need for your 4710 from here on. They are also the Fendt dealer for all of VA if you ever had interest in that brand. I am in PA and deal with their Lititz PA location. It's 3 hours from me. I have a little Massey dealer in my backyard but I learned the hard way to deal with B&H. Im no where in your league as far as tractors but in 2019 i bought a new gc1723eb and had hydraulic issues right off the bat. Coolant hand never registered and they said it was normal. Loader leaking down to the point every 1/4 mile id have to lift it back up. Differential locker broke @ 160hrs. Etc... Tons of issues and they wasnt very nice to deal with. I also spoke to a massey rep who as well treated me like crap. I only spent 24k thankfully but im now looking to upgrade to a full size compact and its a toss up between mahindra and john deere.
that twin wheel rake is pretty cool to watch! sounds like its not a fit for you. nothing worse then AC not keeping up. for the suspension of the cab talk to the dealer there might be a setting depending on what suspension it has. for the brakes to neutral might also be a settings thing?
@@DLHFarms you know with you being a construction guy and how you do PMI services on that type of equipment and the dealer support you have on that type of equipment I think you'd be a natural fit for a fendt style tractor.
Yea Dennis, that cab suspension looks to be way to soft. I bet you could get sea sick in that thing. Well, at least we now know the red tractor is out of the equation, and the green tractor is back to the top of the list!!
Man, you looked like you were driving across a plowed field. I don't like that cab suspension either. Hard to believe that expensive tractor has such weak breaks. That could get someone hurt. Glad to see your thoughts on the Massey Ferguson
I’m surprised at the MF. I was really hoping to hear good things as the Dyna transmission was interesting to me to try. Not sure what you decided or what you should do. Probably have made decision by now. I’ve had T4 for 5 years now and no issues at all, 2000 hours. Just hate how hard the fuel and oil filter changes are. Do wish had splitter on transmission for more gear options. Kinda thinking about a TS 140 as heavier tractor and deluxe version has the splitter. Freitas have the JD and seem to be having EGR issues you mentioned. Thanks four your great videos.
I was surprised at how difficult the transmission was to use and understand on this tractor definitely would have to do some serious reading to be able to use it
Thanx for the Vids. Been with your channel for a bit now. Was just wondering if you might want to try the new X-series McCormick. Tried a few different models this year before buying and bought 2. First I've owned but so far I love them.
That is a shame I thought it had some nice features. Feel a little bad for you but it looks like things worked out. That'll be a model series I will be avoiding. Thanks Dennis 👍
All the things with this new Massey. Seems like a big inconvenience can't operate the loader cause of things hooked up in receivers behind you that right there made the deal go south in a red hot second.
Dennis, this is not the tractor for you. Too many problems and it’s new. I would hope u got the John Deere tractor 🚜. They cost more, but they are worth the money. Good luck on the tractor u choose. I hope u are enjoying the new tractor 🚜. Thanks for reviewing the tractor. I do like the over voice, explaining what u are doing while watching. Great job on editing the video. Enjoyed watching as always.
DLH Farms : I read some of the other comments. Why does it cost $8,000 to demo a tractor with all those problems. I assume it was a new one. Someone said get a lawyer, that’s is what I would to, lawyer. Just thinking 🤔 RS
Wow, that's a lot of negatives, but you know what your talking about. Massey Ferguson is the number one selling tractor in Ireland. John Deere and New Holland are 2nd and 3rd. Glad you made the right decision Dennis 👍.
I think I'd just have 2 run an older reliable tractor. With a good ac of course before i dealt w all that bs. Good luck workin all thst out. An does cab suspension mean it has like air bags like big truck or shocks or something?? Never ran 1 thst nice so sorry if thsts dumb question
Dennis great video , I hope you didn't sign anything and get you lawyer to give them a call. I bet it would cost less in the long run and you would have a lot more satisfaction, and they would think twice about shafting the next customer with an 8 grand demo. PS i commented last night in the wrong place forgive me. By the way was this the dealer in Rocky Mount Va that you praised so well in past videos? if so Shame on them.......bet you drive an extra 100 miles next time just to avoid them after this....
Yes it was them and no I didn't sign anything. If I had I would be riding a new Massey Ferguson. This isn't the first time they have put me in an uncomfortable position and I should of learned last time, but me and my dad are done dealing with them for good now.
I dont know how it is working in the USA but here in Europe it is all Agco so a MF dealer can sell Fendt and Valtra by the was Valtra is a good Brand.Challenger Traktor is a Fendt in yellow ?or is it only the 1000 Model? I like your Videos .have a save day
I really like rotary rakes. They make a fluffy window for air to get through the hay. Do you still trade with Nance Equipment in Mcconnels? Sorry that Massey didn't rate well. You do a great job of checking equipment out and make good decisions
No I never did do any trades with them they are about 3 hours away I went and looked at a used tractor there and my local dealer threatened to stop doing business with me over that if I didn't buy it though them at a much increased price
You gave the tractor a go and it wasn't for you. Which is why all tractors aren't the same. My regional guy warned me against the Visio cab. It is hotter. It leaks. The vent placement isn't ideal. Good idea, poor execution. It took me awhile to get used to the transmission. Now that I am, I love it. Oh, the rear remotes are a complete PITA. Give 'em time and they'll leak, won't hold the connection, and the caps are complete ass. The smaller frame gives a rougher ride. Period. Cab suspension won't change that. I like my Massey. It works well for what I do. You don't and I agree with every point you made (except looks, which is purely subjective). Look forward to seeing what you finally decide to get! PS - the way the remotes work is a deal breaker for me. I have 3 sets that are all mechanical. The way that 5712 is plumbed is just stupid.
I field tested one and after the first small rut at 5 mph literally knocked me out of the seat.. had to wear the seat belt. After 30 minutes I parked it ..
Hey have u ever thought about the M6 or M7 kubote? I think they have came out with a M8 as well. Just thought I’d would throw out the kubota name. I know farmers don’t associate kubota with farming but their tractors and equipment have come along way. Us a kubota on our farm for making hay and I love it. If the massy is good on hills not a safe tractor in my mind. That fan was driving me nuts. Definitely over priced for the lack of quality jmo. Luv the videos
Since you like the MF 4710 have you considered the 6700 series??. Same cab and features jus more weight and frame which is what your after... granted don't have all the fancy buttons and gadgets, but my experience leads to problems later down the road.....
You had me with "interfering with my concealed carry..."

I didn’t know them West Virginia hay fields was that rough u needed the ccw lol 😂
@@toddharding2338 there not in West Virginia but I'm in regular Virginia and it's pretty rough here haha!
An interesting chat about a different tractor. You sure did seem to be bouncing around a lot. Well, now I know a lot more about these tractors than I used to. Another interesting and informational video, well done !
Yeah there isnt much out there on these other than sells videos. Trust me I looked at every video I could find on the web.
Sorry to here the Massey didn't work out for you Dennis, good thing you were able to try it out. At the end of the video you mentioned you have a different Tractor home now. Can't wait to see it.👍
Yep and its not the one I demoed earlier either
@@DLHFarms
Why am I thinking its Blue👍
Sometimes all the bells and whistles are just too much sugar for the nickel and just more issues down the road! Looking at getting something btw 75hp and 120hp myself before long so I appreciate the reviews!
Your welcome!
Go for the T6 ford
I’ve the 5610 and the brake are excellent there definitely something not adjusted right when u couldn’t stop and I agree with the fan it’s loud enough
I hate it didn't work out for me just a bad experience all the way around 😔
Bingo!
Dennis I am not a farmer but I got to do you I feel so sorry or For You that hurt me sitting in this Lazy Boy watching you drive that tractor thank you for your honesty hope you all have a good year this year later
Thanks John for sharing my pain
I was surprised you didn't park it sooner Dennis, that bouncing around every second would have put me over the edge by itself, let alone the other things wrong with it. Even the old style cabless tractors with the pan seats didn't ride that bad(lol), I know, I drove many of them over the years.
I know it was ridiculous!
Thanks Doug 👍
I usually do the headlands last otherwise they get disturbed when you turn.
Good to see you again my friend it’s Time to rake again be safe in the field good video again that tractor was pretty route look like

I thought that would be the one. I take my last comment back. Your right the not stopping on the hill would have been it for me. I guess your fields have got a bit greener, lol. Take care.
Yep a lot of people are taking their last comments back haha
Dang it Dennis can't keep something like that secret. Sure was nice to see Dorsey again he sure is growing like a weed. Excellent job on the review of the Massey.
Thanks Boomer! Dorsie is growing so fast!
I know it would have been a terrible investment
What a truly honest review. Thanks for sharing.
Your welcome!
I was not impressed before you ever had it in the field when I saw that goofy external loader valve. That alone was the kiss of death for me. And now with all the other issues you've ran experienced.... now way I'd purchase the Messy tractor.
Yeah it was a terrible design but I didn't know until I tried it.
Yea I've never seen that before with the loader switching valve.... that'd be a big no-no for me too even for me being a massey fan, that tractor didn't fare too well at all.
Yeah I was very surprised at how this turned out
Crazy that the Massey has so many issues!! Good info for future reference!!
👍
Shocked how demo went Dennis .standerd roof and Dyna 4 which is so much easier to understand.front suspension is the way to go.all that would feel a different tractor .don't understand how brakes so bad . understand your feelings on demo tractor.good Look with the new tractor you have purchased Dennis
.
Thanks I was very shocked too didn't expect what happened.
Good to see an honest review. Like you I don't care what color it is I want what suits me and a good dealer. Tractors are a big investment and it is good to take the time to check them out before you sign on the line.
Yep exactly!
Keep us updated on what ya get and why. Thanks
Video of the new tractor is up now
Dang! Leaking roofs in Massey Fergusons - it's like 1993 all over again! Killing us all with anticipation!
I know right!
The only thing Massey Ferguson on these AGCO tractors above about 50 hp is the MF decals. I'm a commercial poultry grower and 20 years ago MF was the premier tractor to use in a poultry house using 3 point hitch implements. Not the case any longer.
This tractor really let me down
This is why you always try before you buy. On paper is one thing but in the field is the real story.
Totally agree. Even with little riding mowers.
Yep it all sounded good anyway. Haha
Try the New Holland T-175 with Dynamic Command
Out of my price range
Dennis, Glad you found a tractor that fit's your needs. Now How about that Boy, he is getting so big. Just wait till he can Eat his weight in Groceries..I remember mine at 16 yrs old.I told his mom didn't we just buy groceries.....
Haha sounds like we may have to sell the farm to buy food
None of those issues sounded petty to me, I know if you spend all day on a machine those things add up quick. Can’t wait to see what you ended up with.
The dealer thought I was just being stupid picky but I didn't want to spend my hard earned money on that junk.
You made a good choice man, that's alot of money to spend on something. Have to like what your running when you spend so much time in it. Hope you got a nice new deere tho lol.
Exactly 👍
That Massey sure was a mess! Excited to see the video on what you chose!
👍
is this one them Kubota rakes if so how do you like this power rake over a v rake
It is a Kubota rake and I absolutely love it way better than any other rake I've used.
To my knowledge the suspension on that tractor has no settings it is what it is
you have to be 100% happy when your paying for it. perhaps it was built on a friday afternoon or monday morning. glad your happy what what every you decided to buy,
Oh yeah im pleased with what I ended up with
Green is a good color for a tractor
👍
You could make milk shakes in that cab.tks gary
Yeah it was pretty bad
I agree, the massey just has to many problems right out of the gate! plus you have to think whats going to happen 5 or six months down the road with other problems.
Yep exactly!
I actually looked at that. video coming on it
@@DLHFarms Brilliant! Interested to hear your take on things, thanks.
@@DonegalTDI it's going to be a few days before I get to that video so I'll tell you I really liked that tractor. It was a 5115R with no loader all they had on the lot to demo but really nice machine it had the 32 speed auto
You do a great job with the videos keep up the good work. Is there a reason other than cost that you don't look at any of the 6 cylinder models?
To big and to expensive
this video needs to be sent to AGCO headquarters in Georgia so they can hopefully learn from it.
@@DLHFarms oh crap
Yep I thought it would be great too but oh well
You big tease!!!! LOL Wow i was expecting so much more from the Massey. The ride looked horrific, even before you said anything, I was thinking you looked like a pc of popcorn inside a popper! lol HURRY UP and post the video with the new tractor already.. :D
Haha I'll get it up as soon as I get these other videos I made done. I got another demo to show too
Wow i couldn't believe how much you were being bounched around i don't blame you a bit like i have said i am a massey guy but nah nah all you found wrong with it thats crazy I have been looking at Case from what little i have heard sound good good luck Dennis God Bless.
Yeah I was bad! Good luck with the case!
You can't leave us hanging like that, unsubscribing! LOL, J/K. Can't wait to see what you ended up with!
Haha 👍
My opinion those style rakes work better for wet hay. If it was me I’d be using a wheel rake. But great video .
I don't be like wheel rakes because for doing square bales I get to much dirt in the hay i used to have one. This thing is worlds ahead in every way.
Watch this - I bet it's different than your current experience

I had it in neutral I actually had the clutch pushed in. There aren't any settings on the suspension it is what it is.
@@DLHFarms you know with you being a construction guy and how you do PMI services on that type of equipment and the dealer support you have on that type of equipment I think you'd be a natural fit for a fendt style tractor.

Figured it was a lot better than going back to pile driving and sewer and water work and carrying concrete.
Yea Dennis, that cab suspension looks to be way to soft. I bet you could get sea sick in that thing. Well, at least we now know the red tractor is out of the equation, and the green tractor is back to the top of the list!!
Yep that one is out of the equation anyway
Looks like a win for the John Deere, that 6130r looked so basic that's an m series over here in Ireland
Aye have to give it to deere in the 6 series
Yep I didn't buy that tractor either
Watching flop around in that cab gave me a headache! I couldn’t imagine spending all day in that. It’ll be interesting to see what you ended up with.
Yeah it was pretty bad
Man, you looked like you were driving across a plowed field. I don't like that cab suspension either. Hard to believe that expensive tractor has such weak breaks. That could get someone hurt. Glad to see your thoughts on the Massey Ferguson
I hate that it went like this I was hoping it would be way better than the Deere but not the case
That tractor is a chiropractor delight.
Haha 👍
Now the real question is: which would you rather have? The T4 or this Massey. Also I didn't realize how bad the T5 was.
If rather have the T4 I believe
I’m surprised at the MF. I was really hoping to hear good things as the Dyna transmission was interesting to me to try. Not sure what you decided or what you should do. Probably have made decision by now. I’ve had T4 for 5 years now and no issues at all, 2000 hours. Just hate how hard the fuel and oil filter changes are. Do wish had splitter on transmission for more gear options. Kinda thinking about a TS 140 as heavier tractor and deluxe version has the splitter. Freitas have the JD and seem to be having EGR issues you mentioned. Thanks four your great videos.
I was surprised at how difficult the transmission was to use and understand on this tractor definitely would have to do some serious reading to be able to use it
I think i would keep what i got for a while.
Haha 👍
Thanx for the Vids. Been with your channel for a bit now. Was just wondering if you might want to try the new X-series McCormick. Tried a few different models this year before buying and bought 2. First I've owned but so far I love them.
Don't know of any dealers for those around here
I would give kubota a try, we’ve only used kubota, it’s a very solid tractor
No thanks. No dealer support here
Try new Holland t6 175 dynamic command
To expensive
Can't believe how the front of the tractor moves and the cab stays still
Actually it's an illusion the cab is moving and the rest of the tractor is still
Man that thing shouldn't even leave the dealer lot . Have to mention one item you left off the list...the seat!
I think that's in there at the end
That John Deere ain’t sitting at the dealer any more
I noticed that I didn't buy it though
That is a shame I thought it had some nice features. Feel a little bad for you but it looks like things worked out.
That'll be a model series I will be avoiding.
Thanks Dennis 👍
Yeah it worked out for me
All the things with this new Massey. Seems like a big inconvenience can't operate the loader cause of things hooked up in receivers behind you that right there made the deal go south in a red hot second.
Yeah I didnt realize all that till I tried it
The Massey Ferguson dealer probably wouldn’t want to hire you as a salesman!
Probably not
wow didn't expect this one to be so bad since you've had such good luck out of the 4710
Trust me I didn't either 😔

Already got a lawyer. They are trying to say I bought the tractor which is totally bogus. Nothing was signed never even got a proper quote on it.
DLH Farms : that’s great u got a lawyer. I’ll be praying that the Lord will take care of it for u. God bless you sir. 🙏
Thank you! God is good and I'm not worried.
Wow, that's a lot of negatives, but you know what your talking about. Massey Ferguson is the number one selling tractor in Ireland. John Deere and New Holland are 2nd and 3rd. Glad you made the right decision Dennis 👍.
Thanks Don!
Sorry you had all the issues with this, but it’s a good think you figured it out before you bought it.
Ain't that the truth!
I think I'd just have 2 run an older reliable tractor. With a good ac of course before i dealt w all that bs. Good luck workin all thst out. An does cab suspension mean it has like air bags like big truck or shocks or something?? Never ran 1 thst nice so sorry if thsts dumb question
It has coil springs and shocks under the back of the cab the front has a big rubber bushing that it pivots on
Dennis great video , I hope you didn't sign anything and get you lawyer to give them a call.

I like your Videos .have a save day
They won't do that here have to go to a fendt dealer
I really like rotary rakes. They make a fluffy window for air to get through the hay. Do you still trade with Nance Equipment in Mcconnels? Sorry that Massey didn't rate well. You do a great job of checking equipment out and make good decisions
No I never did do any trades with them they are about 3 hours away I went and looked at a used tractor there and my local dealer threatened to stop doing business with me over that if I didn't buy it though them at a much increased price
@@DLHFarms I like Nance but too far for you and if you have a good dealer, that is what is best
Thanks for the input Tim 👍
I field tested one and after the first small rut at 5 mph literally knocked me out of the seat.. had to wear the seat belt. After 30 minutes I parked it ..
Well I guess I'm not the only one
Hey have you seen the new Duzts tractor that has been reintroduced . They seem nice. They come with 4 wheel brakes and true 4 wheel drive.
No dealers around here
Great video
Thanks!
Thanks the Kubota dealer here is not that good so I don't bother.
Yeah if the dealer isn’t good stay away
I’d like to get a NH but the local dealer is the same way 👎
Since you like the MF 4710 have you considered the 6700 series??. Same cab and features jus more weight and frame which is what your after... granted don't have all the fancy buttons and gadgets, but my experience leads to problems later down the road..... I think the 5712s your demo is definitely a lemon...
I thought about that tractor but after this one me and my dealer are done they tried to screw me over.
Demo a Kubota M6-131 if you can. I did before I purchased my Challenger. It’s a really nice machine!
The Kubota dealer isn't very good here
DLH Farms that sucks to hear!
