Everyone wants to rank greatest guitars in their minds but often their vocal abilities make an impact against great guitarists who don’t sing. In terms of lead guitars who are also front men, Fogerty has got to be among the best
Creedence this song by , Screamin'Jay Hawking they took for themselves and from Woodstock they played did and it remained for the history of this great concert 🎸🎸🎸🥁🎹
Is there more footage of the whole show? They absolutely were in their prime, for me more rockers as in those days... jefferson airplane, hendrix, santana( they were all good). They were the opposite of the flowerpower generation... rocking swamp boogie stuff, no drinking... smoke yes, but no drugs, no joints, clean 4 straightforward man, releasing a hughe power in the studio and onstage. Rib tom, wish the other 3 could stick their heads together and reunite one final moment...do it boys before its to late.
Great performance, but did anybody notice the death-stare the drummer gave John at the end of the song. You can tell they didn't get along much except for musically.
Man this solo is super under rated
Exactly, just like this reply
Johns underrated as a guitarist in general!
Right!!!!!!!!
Yep
RIGHT!!! its one of my favorite solos fr fr
That was one of the best solo guitars I’ve ever heard
wow, I didn't expect this to be so good live! That guitar sound is even better.
Man, 2:00 - 2:10 can't get more awesome. The solo is a fucking damn spell on my ears.
I tought I was the only one loving this part
The fact they wanted their performance cut from Woodstock due to sound difficulty blows my mind..this has so much visceral power it's unreal
Can you imagine the movie theatre crowd seeing this in '71?
@@RideAcrossTheRiver could you imagine seeing it live
@@nugget2317 I did see Fogerty's show in 1997.
Holy shit this live version is incredible!
What a voice, John still sounds good but this here is just peak epic ness
His feel is astonishing John Fogerty and the whole band are legends of rock .
Me encanta el solo de esta joya, de los mejores de la historia en mi opinión. Espectacular.
BRILLIANT ❤
The REAL LIVE VERSION of this from Woodstock. More Raw!!
This one of those songs that I like every version of but this may be the best of em all
For decades I didn't even know they performed at Woodstock, knowing only the album and later the movie.
What a treat!
Clifford's attitude on his last hit - shape of things to come
Sin duda la mejor versión, no las otras que suben con la versión en estudio 👏👏👏👏
fucking phenomenal nothing like the originals all 4
Phenomenal; always loved this song, didn’t know they performed it at Woodstock :)
Wow. That was great !!! Epic guitar playing too.
the best of Woodstock!!! and they didn't include it on the cd... deam!!
Saiu em single na década de 70
Still listening .. during the end of the world. 🌍 😤 2022✌️
Still got the goosebumps...those were the days ...

THIS IS A FANTASTIC PERFORMANCE.😁
Strat guy "You can't play lead on a Rickenbacker" John Fogerty: "Hold my beer" ...
You can if you put a Gibson PAF humbucker at the bridge
They're all instruments, it's up to the player to find what their abilities are.
@@maxxengland8745 And to modify them for maximum playability!
@@RideAcrossTheRiver Exactly, you wouldn't go for a race without training, you don't drive a car without moving the seat etc to where they fit you.
@@maxxengland8745 Shitty gear will bring anyone down.

Remembering I Put a spell on You live at Woodstock the Best of the Best 🎸🎸🎸🥁
the best version ever¡¡
Que tema por Dios !!!
Geweldige band, voor mij de allerbeste
Why in the absolute world did Fogerty refuse to have this footage in the Woodstock movie.
Fue culpa de Mickey Mouse! Nice t-shirt!
According to him, they sounded bad. I think he means in the audio of the recording
@@joaquinlezcano2372 It hardly sounds bad.
That solo, greatest
John Densmore of the Doors was at Woodstock and he said Creedence did "down-home farm-boy music." Really, Densmore?
Creedence this song by , Screamin'Jay Hawking they took for themselves and from Woodstock they played did and it remained for the history of this great concert 🎸🎸🎸🥁🎹
Possibly my fave solo from woodstock
Only 8k views this diamond??
thats called planet earth
What a classic
Excelente muchas gracias
Without a doubt, and possibly, the greatest voice in rock and roll history.
4:01 seems like there’s some static between Clifford (drummer) and John
Fabuloso!! 👏👏👏👏
Really great. There must be a story as to why this was left out of the movie and off the LP.
John felt the band's performance wasn't up to par.
Fantástico... Maravilhoso
🦋❤️🎨
Wow!
Oh my! 🙌
Why 87k not more??
🦋❤️💀

LMAO I PUT A SPELL ON YOU ! ✌️💜✌️💜
1:27 tell me that he did not just channel his inner randy rhoads😂😂
Randy Rhoads was still taking lessons while this was happening.
@@RideAcrossTheRiver randy is eternal
@@longdongsilver9714 He was 12 years old when Woodstock happened. Get a grip.

The only surviving footage is of Born On The Bayou, Bad Moon Rising, Spell, and Keep On Chooglin'.

I took it more as “we just fucking rocked these people into oblivion, we’re badass af”
Naw, Doug was like "NAILED IT"
No, that was: How damned good are we!!
