There are plenty of electrical design software programs available out there but for my use I need a versatile program that does more than just line drawings.
Smart Draw allows the user to create a complete drawing or design with all the elements needed in one program.
Smart Draw also has many other templates so you can do flow charts,bar graphs and more.The pre built libraries are helpful for the beginner.
The program also allows you to create your own libraries and symbols.
Some of the electrical symbols need to be tweaked to suite your needs.All in all if you want to start or need to create your own electrical designs using plenty of pre-built electrical symbols take a look at this electrical design software.

Shaik, you can download a free trial here: www.smartdraw.com/downloads/ A lot of electrical design software is available with free trials,I suggest you try several different programs before you purchase one. Do a search for "electrical design software".

Hi,
The first thing you did was open a blank page, but I have not clue how you did it ...?
I just downloaded the trial , can you tell me what they want for this when the trial is up ?

On the left side is the menu bar. Scroll down to find ( floor plans-commercial ) click then look for (custom floor plan). That gets me to a blank page. Cost for the basic version is $197. You really don't need any of the up grades for drawings only.
If you get into sharing you may want to check out the other versions.

Go to www.smartdraw.com click on download,enter e-mail address,download install. Keep in mind that this is a trial and not a free program. They run specials so check their site for pricing.

How did you get your lines from outlet to outlet and neutral/hot hash marks ?

You use the curved line tool in the upper ribbon and the hash marks are in the NECA symbols library.
Line thickness & arrow type can be changed with the click of the right mouse button .
