Another lovely video, my friend. This past summer, however, I was going dry in an effort to cut back my habits after a horrendous 2020 (and early '21), so I didn't watch this to avoid the temptation. But now that my "dry run" is over, I think I'll be paying a visit to the liquor store soon enough for my favorite rum so I can enjoy a long-overdue daiquiri. Cheers!
Last year I had no basil therefore our rosemary did great. So I tried a little twist on the Gin Basil Smash. I decided to use the Needle Blackforest Gin (it uses spruce branches as a special ingredient) and it fits perfect. Hope you like it: 1 rosemary branch 20ml sugar syrup 30ml lemon juice 50ml Gin give it a hard shake ;)
Got a cocktail recipe, might be an old one but love this one. 2 oz Plantation Original dark Double aged Rum 1 oz Semi Rich Demerara syrup 4 dashes Angustura orange bitters 5 dashes Peychauds bitters Mix in mixing glass w minimal dilution. Garnish and express w fat orange peal
Thank you for sharing your gift! You are always inspiring me! My three most popular drinks: #1 dexterous Key lime pie; 2 ounces but net scotch whiskey, 2 ounces fresh lime juice, 1 ounce agave nectar. Shaken over ice with four large mint leaves. Double strained into a chilled Tumbler glass and garnished with a shortbread cookie. #2 the Soylent green martini; 3 ounces vodka, 1 ounce extra dry vermouth, muddled with four green grapes and a half peeled kiwi, shaking over ice and fine strained into a martini glass garnish with four frozen green grapes. #3 The Woman; 2 ounces vodka, 1 ounce pomegranate juice, 1 ounce peach schnapps, 1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice. Shaken over ice, strained into a martini glass and garnished with pomegranate fruit.

I cracked up when your tin came apart -- thank you for that! haha. What a wonderful and simply cocktail to enjoy ! I love blending rums in my daiquiris and adding a layer of freshness by splitting the citrus juice in 2/3 parts lemon to 1/3 part grapefruit juice! Here's my twist on this beloved cocktail: 40 ml Rhum Vieux Agricole (Clement is my go-to) 20 ml Jamaica rum (a funky one such as Smith and cross) 20 ml fresh lemon juice 10 ml fresh grapefruit juice 2'5 teaspoons of white sugar (I prefer not to add any more dilution) Use a barspoon to mix the sugar with the citrus juices first, then add the rums and shake hard until really cold! (Those rums tend to be higher in proof, so I like to go hard in my shake to low the proof!) Thanks for your content! Salud! 🥂

I absolutely love your videos, and learning a lot from you! We're preparing to open a bar in a few months, and right now working on a cocktail menu. What would be your list of must-have cocktails? It would be great if you'd make a video about it! Cheers!
I always prefer a dark rum, typically an Appleton signature, when it comes to making my daiquiris. Have also used plantation pineapple before which gives a twist. In terms of sugar, I have tried a demerera syrup 2:1 but drop down to .5oz instead of the typical .75/.75 sugar/lime split. You are very right that at the end of the day, it is all personal preference. That’s the beauty of the daiquiri.
I think I prefer a rum with a bit more flavour too. There are some great sugar alternatives too that can add some interesting flavours, but I do love the simplicity and ease of a 1:1 simple syrup. Thanks for watching 🙏🏼

@@RuairiGilles i think alot of slightly off Daiquiri had in the past was the maker not really understanding the ingredient he/she has on hand. Its one thing to measure ml's of a recipe and using same sized ice and count seconds of shaking.... but something like the freshness or sweetness/tang of the fruit or even the flavour profile of the syrup can really make or break the final product. That's why the Daq is the omellete of the cocktail world. To show if its maker understand the fundamentals of the craft. BTW love the channel! :)
I love this channel but i feel like you’re running out of recipes. I think if you’re going to showcase once drink, perhaps make several variations. I for one love the Hemingway Daiquiri. Maybe even one with berries. While not a fan of the blended, you can even make one of those. Just tossing ideas your way.
Hook a brother up from the states with ounces. Sorry we're knuckle dragging Neanderthals but I'm pausing each vid 4-6× and doing the conversion....12.5 mls??? Lol
Please take as constructive feedback... this is my first time visiting your channel (via Educated Barfly's channel list). The interlude music is too loud and bass-ish. This made the video unwatchable for me; perhaps someone on a cellphone with its small speakers won't notice, but the music for me is overpowering. Hard to say if others also find this problematic but it will keep me from returning.

15 ml lime juice,
15 ml agave nectar,
22 ml pinaple juice and
8 ml ginger juice.
Thanks for the amazing videos!
That’s basically a Matador cocktail with the addition of ginger juice and using yellow chartruse instead of green. Would be delicious though.
my friends and i are planning a crime dinner. the theme is Titanic. could you tell me 2 - 3 cocktails that you think would go with it?
This was served on the Titanic…
Punch a la Romaine
1 egg white
1 oz. white rum
1 oz. white wine
1⁄2 oz. simple syrup
1⁄2 oz. lemon juice
1 oz. fresh orange juice
2 oz. Champagne or sparkling wine
Twist of orange peel, for garnish
And you can’t go wrong with a Martini, Manhattan or Tom Collins 👍🏼

This drink is definitely inspired by fall flavors but is refreshing enough to work in the summer as well. The drink is named for a picturesque, small winding road that connects my home town of Irvington NY to the sawmill river parkway.
They asking a code to access the beta version of the app. How can I get one?
Not sure it’s available in all countries yet 😬 Where you at?
What brand of shaker do you use?
Cocktail Kingdom “Koriko”. Best I’ve used so far 👍🏼
1-1 sugar, but I use Demerara sugar, fresh lime, and an aged rum 🤷♂️

its easy to make a Daiquiri, but to make a great one shows the basic competence of its maker.
Easy to get wrong 😑
@@RuairiGilles i think alot of slightly off Daiquiri had in the past was the maker not really understanding the ingredient he/she has on hand.
Its one thing to measure ml's of a recipe and using same sized ice and count seconds of shaking.... but something like the freshness or sweetness/tang of the fruit or even the flavour profile of the syrup can really make or break the final product.
That's why the Daq is the omellete of the cocktail world. To show if its maker understand the fundamentals of the craft.
BTW love the channel! :)
Thank you 🙏🏼
I always through a Daiquiri was Strawberrys, ice and grenadine blended together with white Rum mainly Barcardi.
You work in a new bar or so?
Sold the last one. This one is in my basement 👍🏼
@@RuairiGilles aaaa that's nice to hear 💜
I will try dangerous cocktail of Daiquri
I love this channel but i feel like you’re running out of recipes. I think if you’re going to showcase once drink, perhaps make several variations. I for one love the Hemingway Daiquiri. Maybe even one with berries. While not a fan of the blended, you can even make one of those. Just tossing ideas your way.
Thanks Mario. We did the Hemingway in Rum 3 a couple of weeks ago. Check it out 👍🏼
Hook a brother up from the states with ounces.
What do you use to make the ice?
