As an Indian, it was absolutely heartbreaking to see P.V. Sindhu lose that Olympic Gold. Of course, Silver is immensely hard to achieve and is brilliant, if not equally brilliant. But, Sindhu wanted that Gold and India wanted her to have it.
When Marin won, I remember being very annoyed and very envious of what she had achieved because I wanted Sindhu to win.
But today, after seeing this video, after seeing the struggle that she had to go through, how hard she had to hustle to defy norms, I finally feel at peace.
In India, too, it is tremendously difficult to be a sportsperson and excel in a sport that isn't cricket. There is a lack of infrastructure, funding, opportunities and of course, acknowledgment. I understand what it must've felt like for Marin to pursue success in a sport that her country wasn't known for. Many Indian players and athletes feel the same resistance. But, it's so heartwarming to see her excel in a way no one has done before her.
Someday, I hope to see an Indian on the top of that podium but right now, from where I'm standing, Marin looks really good up there, too.

And if you are the fans that feel more irritated by her bad behaviour, its your problem!!!. Everything she do is still normal/fair court.
Dont you know Most of the Chinese players are more than bad than this. Marin has never scream loud and much when she started her career in pro, but then she realized that the Wall of unfair chinese players should be broken up, thats why she scream like that to boost herself, is it a problem for u? To me not. I have waited for Wang Shixian vs Yihan in a stadium, I have bought the ticket but then they wont to play because of injury drama arranged by Li Yongbo. Other than that scenario can be found more prominent in women single. Shixian, yihan, xuerui, jiang yangjiao, and the last era such as wang chen, zhou mi, xingfang, zhangning, Li Yongbo will set up the match or push one of them to retire. DONT YOU KNOW THAT IS MORE IRRITATED THAN MARIN?. I dont care by the way, I just say thank to Marin as one of the most succesful player to break chinese domination.. She made badminton more colorful in Women Single..

Marin is really famous in India , because her most of the big titles she won, were against the Indian players, except 2014 WCs final.

despite what you may say about her on-the-court attitude, you have to admire her david-goliath struggle against all odds to achieve all that she has. Asian countries have to take a hard look at themselves and learn from her experience and success.

she is the legend of legend currently tai tzu ying playing extremely well but she does not have carolina's kind of atitude...... i like carolina attitude ,spirit,skillness....and tai is just skillful and nothing ...carolina is suffering from injury still she reached to 4 final and winning one of them.. .....that remembers me the case of saina nehwal who reached 5 finals in 2015 but winning just 2 of them bcz of injury... i know marin will do a strong comeback which will destryo tai yzu ying's winning streak of titles. ..LOVE U CAROLINA
