I would feel a lot worse if Madison hadn’t been super rude to everyone. Having people care about you is way different from people trying to sabotage you. This injury wasn’t a weakness, it could have ruined her chances of becoming a ballerina.

I truly do not appreciate her attitude... the other mothers were genuinely concerned for her and she is acting extremely rude towards them despite the fact that they are correct. A dancer with an injury should not be dancing! Period.
One of the moms literally said that her being injured is an “advantage for us”
Professional dancers dance through injury and pain all the time. Unless a muscle or bone is broke, torn or pulled then the show must continue. But being younger the others moms are right she could have further injured herself that could have made things worse.

i think she does not want to take a beak because if she takes a brake then it the other members will overtake her and after all its a competition nobody wants to be replaced...and she did not tell everybody my ankle hurts ..she was telling her mom and she told others whenever she was asked..... she was telling the truth....i think if i was in her place, i would do the same...i am a dancer too..not me every dancer will do the same...i guess

The fact Madison actually thinks that the moms don't want her to dance bc she's "competition" to them is very upsetting. Some are genuinely worried about her bc an injury especially to the Achilles at her age and how much she dances is very hard to recover from normally. At any age, injuring the Achilles is a terrible thing to recover from and it takes so long since the muscle is so important.

It sounds great and inspirational but it's not really true. You are not "uncomfortable" you are actually in pain most of the time lmao muscles being overused, general soreness. It's never just uncomfortable, at least when you are at an advanced level. All you can do is make sure you recover and take care of yourself as much as you can. Being "uncomfortable" only happens when you are little and just started. It could never apply to older more advanced dancer. It's the same as with sports. Pain comes with the territory.

When doing a tilt all your weight is on one foot, the foot that was on the ground could have been her bad one which makes it harder to balance properly (in my experience and sorry if this didn't make sense)

午夜的爱 The concept of cultural appropriation is silly in most cases. Nothing wrong with taking something and evolving it in to something new and different, while still preserving the original idea. If you applied your logic everywhere, we wouldn’t be anywhere near the same place we are today in society.
Let me ask you, who is it hurting to take “inspiration” from an aspect of a certain culture and put a different twist on it to create something just as beautiful? Provided of course that respect is shown towards the original idea.

as a former dancer of 12 years, ive pulled my achilleas tendon multiple times, and it partially tore once, so i know her pain. For her to be able to go out there and still dance like that takes incredible strength

Well clearly everything worked out for her because she's (Madison O'Connor) a Radio City Rockette! Saw her dance at RCMH this past Christmas season and she's an absolutely spectacular dancer even now!

I sprained my ankle in basketball and my coach said I still have to play even though it was so painful. It started to get so bad the pain got worse. Eventually I sat out one practice and after practice coach yelled at me. My ankle pain is still not any better.
I had the same thing she had from soccer and I played with it cause I was just running to much but I finally went to the doctor and I ended up in a boot for a month and a half

I don't know what you think about Madison, but I think that she is the best, I mean she dances amazing, and I think that her expressions when she dances are JUST FABULOUS (+ she is so beautiful) like who agrees with me !!!
I danced two shows on a sprained ankle. If you injury yourself during a show, you do what you have to do, but that doesnt mean the mom should have been encouraging her to keep dancing. Maybe the first couple of times, but when a medic tells you to get off of it? You listen. Is one competition worth your whole career as a dancer? Or were they playing it up to make it seem worse that it was?

As someone who has sprained my ankle 7 times in 3 years and almost broke it once she should not be dancing. The amount of strain it will put on your ankle by twisting and turning with hurt and damage it even more.

Im a dancer and i tripped and fell on the stairs the other week at school and had a golfball size bruise on my leg that kept swelling and swelling and i could not dance for 2 weeks now i can because i rested it but it took a while but Madison should sit out regardless

I hate how in so many sports there’s like a narrative of getting hurt/ feeling pain is weakness and needs to be pushed through. Aches and soreness is one thing, but going against medical advice can really hurt a whole dance career especially when you’re young. It makes athletes not go to doctors cause they don’t wanna hear they can’t dance, even if it’ll keep them dancing for longer in the long run.
