TRACK SETUP SUZUKI GSX-R1000R IN OULTON PARK (🇫🇷Sous-titres Français)

- After riding the standard 2020 Suzuki GSX-R1000R on track, I wanted to try to make it feel more like my GSX-RR MotoGP race bike. So I changed the setup and went back on track to test it.
Can't stress this enough, check your tire pressures when you go on track. It's the most important thing you can do. More grip, safer riding, better tire life = more fun!

Track day beginner 🤣🤣🤣 love the way people are trying to give sylvain advice on set up in the comments on here ! 2014 W S B champion needs advice??? Lmao 🤣🤣🤣
I just received a book on suspension settings to learn as well, can I give my 2c? ;)
hahaha
Not 2 forget, a motogp racer. Lol
So true, it's because he's a humble and very nice guy people automatically want to help him!
The reason that I asked some questions and wanted some answers or mere clarification was for the benefit of all riders understanding Sylvains wide experience of racing and track ways. I want bikers from all walks of life and riding all types of bikes to be safe not only on the track. Nothing wrong with that is there. I was merely seeking advice from an experienced track rider but not an advanced rider which is something that he would never purport to be. I didn't make any negative comments about his track riding but mainly questioned at times to his positioning on the road going to and from a track day . A few years ago Chaz Davies undertook a few days riding experience with advanced riders and he said that he enjoyed it and gained a lot of road riding experience and knowledge that he did not have before,. We can all learn from each other.
I have NEVER seen anyone, not a journalist or racer, produce such excellent suspension and tire pressure content. The only other guy has been a Brit named Dave Moss.
How cool is it to have a wsbk champion with his own RUclips channel? Loving the content keep it coming when you get a. Second between races and testing that is! Would be cool to see some testing if Suzuki allow you 👌👍👍
yes very cool.
Really enjoying these videos Sylvain, keep up the great content!
probably the smoothest world class rider out there, thanks for this, great vid
Luv these videos Sylvain! You're transitions are unbelievable...something for us mortals to aspire to in our own riding styles
I'm loving your channel Sylvain. Please keep the content coming, i'm learning so much. Thankyou!!!
Great content, keep the videos coming. It's always great to see you riding.
Excellent video, you’re so honest and not being arrogant! The clumsiness of fueling the bike, brilliant
Absolutely love your content and excellent presentation style. Thanks for these experiments on the OEM bike, and for the great information you’re sharing. Fantastic.
Thank you @Sylvain Guintoli your videos are excellent and so down to earth for a man of such talent. Your on board laps are much fun to watch and advice is simple for us novices to follow. Please keep the videos coming
My local track and love hearing your Frenglish interviews again 👍👍👍
Another great video! Refreshing to see a wsb champion refueling his own bike instead of casting it to one side for a minion to do it!
Great job, we need more videos like this!!
This showes that the gsxr can di well!!
I also noticed that it’s very lively on the bars during strong accelleration!
Super videos Sylvain!
Keep going!
A great champion, I met him twice when he was riding for campetella racing in 250cc. Always available and clearly not arrogant ( kiss f1 drivers). Merci pour ces vidéos sylvain.
Superb. Interesting, informative and enjoyable. We’re lucky to have you in the UK! 😃 Looking forward to the next video.
That rider in front of you is a hell fast!!
Marti Davia He was 😀. Young racer with GSX-R1000 Superstock, nice lad as well 👍🏻
@@SylvainGuintoli awaiting for more stuff 👏👏👌
I thought the same lol. He was rapid
@@SylvainGuintoli if you use super corsa or slick you have much more edge grip, then super stock rider is slow. I learned a lot from Troy corser, and he rode my bike on cartagena with full slicks and ohlins suspension, he was 2 sec off of the track record due to stiff suspension (I weigh 20kg more as Troy) but I learned that time is made under early acceleration and not under braking)
Keep it up Sylvain, nice vids to watch 👍🏼🙏🏼
s1000rrnapo i think sylvain knows that already

Great advice from a racer is always welcomed. Pity it wasn't the 2014 RSV4 you used to race. I've just bought one for track day n little road, and your expert advice would be a blessing. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Great to see Legend Ray Stringer involved too!
Cool videos. Really interesting so glad I found your channel.
Awesome advice for a World Champion.....
Thankyou Suzuki for sponsoring these videos.
favorite rider on favorite track!
Great content, informative and entertaining😂
Great video Sylvain, I like it.

Thank you for this video
Thanks for the good content! Will be nice to have some videos in which you could explain us how a racing weekend is like, experiences on your racing career, highlights and things like that. Keep up the great work! Greetings from Spain
Awsome videos man.:) love it, i have the Suzuki Gsxr 1000R 2017, "almost" the same bike, few differences:) cant wait to se what you gona do to this bike:) you seems like a nice guy to and i LOVE your helmet.:P keep it up man:) cant wait for more videos.:) stay safe..
What a really great advice from the expert 👍
Great Video!
I actually became a Sylvain Guintoli fan many years ago.Crashed a lot but i could see he had both heart and skills.
Hahahahaha WHAT ECU FLASH?! Bone stock! SUBBED!
Great video. I love that Sylvain rides on UK roads. I met Cal Crutchlow at a film premier and asked him about his road riding. He looked at me like I was crazy and said it was too dangerous to ride on the road. Thanks Cal! Unfortunately 99% of your supporters have to ride on the road.
Could we see the lap time difference between standard and the changes or how far out was the fastest lap from a race bike time after the changes?
super vidéo :)
TOP TOP TOP !!!
Keep it coming champ. Do some upgrades like exhaust n all that.
A channel with a WSB champion... what else ?
👍
THX a lot sylvain !!!
You track day beginer? Yea sure, I'm track day baby with soother on my helmet...Thumb up!!!
Really great content!! I am really curious what could you do with slick tyres 😉
Excelente video saludos desde Venezuela.
Great video! I don't think we have many World Champions making videos about our favourite sport,so keep them coming!Just a couple of things about the tires. This bike is equipped with the RS11(Racing Street) tires, not the R11s and they are the successor to the RS10s,the flagship tires of BATTLAX street application line up.So they are road focused tires unlike the R11s which are designed specifically for track use. That means that they have different pressure recommendations for track use.The RS10 Front 1.9bar COLD and the 190/55 Rear 1.8bar COLD for track use,so i believe the RS11 which is it's successor should be close to this range. The R11 Front 2.25bar HOT and the 190/55 Rear 1.75bar HOT.Looks like you are using the R11's recommended pressures for the RS11s.Just something to consider.
I had the same thougth. I’m going to bring that bike on trackday, and RS11 cold pressure are from the manufacturer 2.07 AV / 1.8 AR. Who to believe ?
3:07 damn that guy in front of you is very fast!
20 psi rear? Wow. Awesome content man. Subbed and looking forward to more.
Andrew S I didn’t use tire warmers. My COLD pressures were 1.95bars (28psi) Front and 1.4bars (20psi) rear. These tires took a couple of laps to warm up. HOT pressures were 2.2bars (32psi) front and 1.65bars (24psi) rear
@@SylvainGuintoli Yes, I saw that. Stock tires too I'm assuming.
Would love to be on a trackday with you guys there, for some pointers 😁
Legend..
You are amazing
