Glad I'm not the only one who decided to play Bb (or A#) like that, because I struggle to Barre the A on the first fret, and it's a pity because I like playing it the original way from all 5 strings down

Is it more popular to play the chord with the middle finger on the d, ring on the g, and pinky on the b or the other way where the ring finger is pressing down all three strings. I learnt the first way (using all 4 fingers) though I see in most guitar tutorials everyone plays it the second way. I’ve already got the muscle memory down so should I relearn how to play the chord or not? Just because I find that it’s near impossible for all three fingers to fit within the third fret when transitioning into the b flat chords quickly and overtime my fingers are only going to get bigger as I age. Is this a problem that can be solved with a wider guitar neck?

Where is the B flat NOTE on guitar. Not chord.
Have sheet music RainDropsKeepFallingOn MyHead has a B flat note. I know where B sting is but how do you make it a B flat?
