Jovoy is a great shop and their in house line is fantastic quality. Their Paris shop is incredible and no one bothers you in there, allowing you to test hundreds of niche.
I love Jovoy and Rouge Assassin is on my sniff list! As a house, they are classy yet affordable - I particularly love that they don't chase around after the latest note trend. They are in it for all the right reasons, in my opinion. Dying to try Musc Pallas :)
I very much appreciate the well rounded tour of fragrances that you review. It's fun to hear of those that I have not experienced regardless of whether I would or not ie the Paris Hilton, FBB frags. As for this one, I do appreciate a classy well built fragrance in the same way I appreciate a quality business wardrobe. Maybe nothing new but quality stands the test of time and stands out in its own quiet way.
This is reminiscent of an old school carmine lipstick. I'm glad that it's not fruity. When I think of my mom's lipstick growing up it was powdery. I'm happy that this is out since Lipstick On is discontinued.
Jovoy make good fragrances with nice quality. The price tag is very correct. "l'art de la guerre" is a must try, the Rhubarbe note is well executed. "La liturgies des heures" is solid release if you like smoky scents.
Maybe Rouge Assassin means killer-of-red, rather than the Red Killer? Just a thought, I don’t speak French! Seriously, I particularly appreciated your thought that maybe stacking of ingredients that “do the same thing” is an issue. Thanks Marc!
Have you tried private lable? That one smells like an old leather saddle that been used for a decade and you can see the wear and tear on it. I think that might be more your taste from this house.
I never tried this brand I will try to get a sample Free samples no longer exist though 😂 The only way to get a free sample nowadays is to travel back in times
Thanks for the review! Just wanted to say I disagree with you. I've never smelled this perfume but I really enjoy being disagreeable. You are wrong! 😀 Only Jovoy I have smelled was Psychedelique(sp?) It was ok as I recall; nothing I would purchase. Was just curious about what chocolatey-patchouli might be. Not my fave note; right down at the bottom with vetiver for me.
Jovoy probably the best bang for buck in the game . They have some beautiful stuff
I may have to agree here

I agree, they really do have some really fantastic fragrances in that line.

I like how you put it - quality stands the test of time.
Cheers M, good house and boutique, online purchases always on point 🙏🤛💪
🙌
I have yet to smell a Jovoy that is bad quality, and they are priced sensibly. My favorite from Jovoy is Pavillon Rouge.
Agreed. I also need to sniff Pavillon.

That powdery vibe is definitely present.
Great video and I enjoyed it and my wife might like it and have a blessed day
Thanks for watching!
