I think that cropping the photos even to a completely diferent orientation is a part of the “eye” of the photographer and one of the many manifestations of his/her criativity. Loved the shots🔥🔥 and love the Sunday Strolls series!!
So glad RUclips recommended this video! Looking forward to going through your past videos. Would love to see how you packed your Domke for this stroll!
As a RUclips loving home, Jake and I loved watching this. Your vlog style is so fun, the video editing is on point and the pictures are amazing. Excited to see more! Great work Ramsey!
The color photos of the conductor and the sad girl at the train window are the best of this group, the couple kissing and the food cart dude are the best in the black and white series. Really nice photos and I enjoyed your video. I’m going to follow you on Instagram.
I can see the art of 'street photography' as you say is very much about being there, 'Shoot first and hope for the best'! It's mainly a snapshot record of your time out walking around. Shooting photos this fast leaves you no time to think and be more creative with your photos to be art worthy and appreciated. It's a nice hobby. You need a passion to do this kind of shooting. Keep up the good work.
8:00 yes dude, You got balls, I struggle with this everyday, and it's really hard to gain the courage to just go "up-close" and capture that moment. especially if you are an introvert.
Hell yeah. I also struggle a lot with shyness while street photographing, seeing someone not giving a fck really encourages me to go out there and not give on either
It is cool to see how folks photograph the city. I have been doing photo rambles in NYC for a while now and these are few things I have found. First shooting the whole city is tempting, but impossible in on day. Pick a few spots and work them. If you are going to do a long distance ramble I suggest traveling from the south to the north. This keeps the sun over your shoulder. In the morning the sun is on the east side and evening the west side. If you want to shoot a touristy spot Hudson Yards, Bryant Park, Grand Central Terminal and the like go as early as possible by 9ish its over run. In FiDi and Midtown you will get deep shadows at the street level and bright buildings up high films with high latitude are great for this. from about Canal north to Union Square and Central Park South lots of light makes to street level. I like to just follow Robert Ketchum's advice and follow the light. As for Kit travel as light as possible and leave room for your personals items, sun screen, sunglasses, Tylenol (my wife and I have cover 14+ miles on rambles) masks, hand sanitizer and other things. NYC walking can be a very long urban hike. The cities unofficial motto is bathrooms are for paying customers only. Plan you breaks and use them while you have them. Final water is easy to acquire so only carry a bottle at a time more is just extra weight. I hope you find this helpful.
More than this one with guy in metro was good. In my opinion you take really great shot. Think im gonna subscribe bezouse i like your workflow and attitude. Cheers
Your photos mate, do what you like to them! I haven't been to America but would love to take my film cameras there for some photography. A big problem for me is you are 14 hours away and that is just getting to LA!
