Thanks for the introduction to this device, I look forward to the follow up. I am a little concerned about the issue it had with the black eyes, as you said it can scan black but obviously can’t do it well.
Nice packaging, but you mentioned that it can scan black parts but it clearly messed up the black eyes on Kirby. That does not exactly inspire confidence in this scanner, however the scan alignment seemed to work well.
Was going to say the same thing. It's a problem if it can't scan that simple model due to the texture. Who knows what that might mean for more complicated things.
Blueroom Who knows? We all know..... It cant scan black stuff lol. I think they need to get away from selling these "Kinect" based scanners where the device is weak but banking on the software. Instead give us some capable hardware and call it a day. These little infrared scanners are annoying bcuz their capturing really relies on the software. once the company stops updating the software, it becomes useless
Well, I feel like I've been "BONED"...After completing the Creality Kickstarter and waiting for shipment on the SCAM Lizard, I got a message that Kickstarter took them down because of a lawsuit... I'm losing faith that I'll ever see it! NOW THEY QUIT UPDATING ME!!!
holy heck you used a super simplistic model and that was the best it could do? this is NOT a good advertisement for the product.

Try to apply some baby powder over the models to hide the textures, it will help to scan it perfectly and you don't have to do extra work, to figure out what was the original form or the model.
Looking forward to the followup both on the phone texture scanning capability and fixing the black eye issues with software. Thank you for sharing.

have you tried to import something you scanned into fusion 360? I was looking into trying this scanner for doing automotive parts and drawing parts to be printed or machined on surfaces. video was great and very helpful btw thanks
I acquired a CR Lizard scanner. But the scanned parts are not within the precision range of .002 ". which indicates the product .... They have variation of dimensions to .025"

Doesn’t look like it yet. I hope they add it though cause my modeling pc I use run on Linux.
can you scan the hood or any panel of a car? it says it can scan flat panels without trackers.
They have still not sent the lizard 3d scanner. Does any one know the statues?And have they resolved the dispute?
try to scan some model piece (sometimes miss some parts, need to replicate one) will it work ? scan and then print it out

You should be able to. When you put it into the slicer, you can scale it down.

Wait, so whats all the hype about? Isnt this only marginally better than 3 months ago Cr scan and Crtscan? It still cant scan blacks and it seems to use the same software as the others. This video kinda ruins the thrill of the kickstarter. I have a Sol scanner sitting on the box and sold my Revopoint scanner. I saw the email that said i could get this Lizzard for $210. But after seeing this video, i question why waste the $210? Thats not sarcasm or being mean, just, whats here deserving of my money? Creality is already established in this "low level" scanner area. Why the kickstarter? Ill save money for the Crt scan from creality. at least that one used real structured light and had a tablet built into it.

I would not touch a Creality product with a shitty stick, they released their WiFi box which doesent work and their new Spider hotend melts the fan housing on the Ender 3 V2 despite them claiming it is compatible, I have 2 Ender 3's and 2 Ender 5 Plus and the XY offset for the ABL in the firmware is set incorrectly so you don't get a correct and uniform bed mesh when probing the bed, this is also the case for 99% of their other printers but they decided not to fix it instead leaving the community to fix this problem.
+ many RUclipsrs have finished with Creality after they tried to offer cash for favourable reviews despite being aware of those YTbers review policies
