Thank you for the summary.
Thank You, Eric. I have been a user of Zoom. It rocks. Thanks for giving us a beautiful product. Thanks, Stanford GSB for the tete-a-tete with Eric. We admire you. Bless!
Looking at Eric's sitting posture and body language says a lot about his work ethics. It looks like he is a true hand-on leader!
I like his humor and hard work and am a fan of Zoom. Good Job Eric!
Being part of Zoom, this interview inspires me, even more, to focus on the mission of making communication frictionless. Proud to be part of a culture of delivering happiness.
Proud to be part of a great Chinese communist party as well!
Glad to see that he is humble and down to earth person. He gives direct answers which I believe is honest. He deserves his success.
That’s why i love the Bay Area. Born in China and working here and hope one day I got the chance to start my own business .
12:00 Transparency is not a noble biz strategy ... Eric it simply told the truth ... it benefits the Biz itself the most ... wow this flipped my thinking from shy to courageous!
i recently made mistakes and have tried to cover it up - ego doesn't allow owning up
hard to admit i am "less" than i want others to think of me as ... highly competent ...
but now i am going in full gusto to tell them where i went wrong & how its going to be fixed ... owning up is in *MY Full Interest*
37:13 Biz is about Making Better Decisions (Rational) ... Stay Calm (remove Emo) ... Being Emo leads to Bad Decisions
37:53 Zoom has a Formula, process ....: Problem. Root Cause. Solution
we actually need both parts: Rational & Emotional - Emo as energy to do things: Rational as in the Process to Achieve our Aims
.
I can feel Eric's passion for his work, and I love this host!
he worked really hard
I agree, and I also love the host, she's natural and relaxed
As a Chinese, Eric inspires me so much. His story tells me no matter how the Chinese-American relationship changes by the government, you can pursue your dream in the USA and finally become one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the world.
Why do Chinese young talent not have an opportunity to make a career like that in China ??? 😊😊😊
@@mng1110 because China wants nothing but stealing technologies.
@@mng1110 笑死了刘强东学习一下
if you Chinese want Taiwan to be part of China, do something to make it really happen (if you dare) instead of listing Taiwan as Taiwan, China on Zoom's country list. This childish move does not make Taiwan a part of China.
@@mng1110 Come on. Don't be so toxic. Talking about some optimistic stuff here. Why can't we just leave politics out for just a second?
I keep coming back to videos from Stanford GSB channel to listen to the wonderful opening music ❤!!! That most of the videos are enriching and enlightening is a bonus. Loved the insights shared by Mr. Yuan. Hope to be part of the live audience some day soon!!!
Wow! I have really learned a lot from this interview. As an entrepreneur, I have gleaned several key insights:
(1) He was prepared to handle his big vision.
(2) He works hard.
(3) Take work as life and life as work; work-life balance may not be sufficient.
(4) Sustainable happiness comes from making others happy.
(5) Get better for your business to get better.
(6) Always analyze problems, identify the root cause, and then find solutions.
(7) As a leader, always focus on the long-term goal.
(8) Hard work and humility are essential.
Amazing person ...I love zoom ..Its change the way how I can connected to my clients .
He bears the same name as my academic advisor. Thank you, Eric Yuan, for changing the world positively through Zoom.
spell it wrong.
tiktok and now zoom, Chinese guys are doing really well
dont forget youtube n yahoo previously also founded by chinese guyes
They are doing well because they have all of our money... 🤷🏼♀️ Our politicians have all been bought by them, and the Chinese love just destroying our society, so they have paid for and gained control of a lot of the media. Don't forget that this is a Totalitarian, communist government over these things. Their goal is to own and rule us, put us into a place of social credits and no freedoms. These are not our friends.
We need to get our own American resources going again. All these other countries that want America to outsource and be "Global", are holding on to their own resources and sucking us dry. Need to get our own GNP back & inceasing, stop letting the Chinese agenda convince our government to destroy our farmlands, which is our biggest export one of our strongest strengths amongst all nations, start encouraging and financially supporting our own entrepreneurs, giving money to those who can build and do ingenius, engineered, and creative things. We've given away too much as a Nation, now we're bankrupt and in huge debt. I'm not impressed with these guys because they've had it handed to them on our silver platters... 🙄"

Always appreciate your innovative thinking and creative imagination as well as mindset, such a very humble person you are Eric Yuan. Really, Eric did a great job serving what humanity needed in the pandemic crisis. I inspired by this talk, thank you Stanford & Eric for making this fruitful interview ❤

He really did a great job serving Chinese gov as well! I also inspired by him! 😍

My admiration goes to the host and Eric
Down to earth, humble, passionate, perservering, good values
Really a greate interview, got lots from Eric's speech, work hard and stay humble
Excellent interview!
That said, chair was too big. You can see everytime he wants to lean back, he doesn't feel comfortable.
Hi Eric! We use Zoom for meetings while I was working for the 1st half of the year, 2022. ✌
I love Eric's calm answers. The most striking answer is that when it is tough to make a decision 'step back' is the best to further make a better decision. And I also believe love he stressed out is the most impotprtant for us to keep us doing everything. As a working mom, his philosophy definitely relates to me becuase a family is an organization. Thanks for your wonderful advice. By the way, who would be my mentor?
Simple and powerful words from Eric made my day! Thanks for this interview.
He's such a humble guy! I like him.
WE LOVE ROY YUAN

lovely inspirational Leader , hard and smart executive
Thank you so much for sharing.

amazing interviewer :)
Good point about chambers advice to care and contribute back to your community
I worked extremely hard too.
I like this interview !
Great interview!
Super Eric Good Job Eric
❤
Famous quote 😂 “ I can’t see a single happy WebEx user”
Can you please add time codes to these interviews?
Very good entrepreneur
Amazing
Thanks
I don't understand why black and white photo for every thumb nail of these interviews.
Anyone know the name of the host?
In asian culture, black & white portrait is mainly used in funeral. My first impression of this cover is: "WTF?!" 😂
Same man.
I was like, "Did he die?? And is that why they're talking about him??"
very honest CEO! I like him. He is an oridinary people, but made great achivement.
Can you write gerunds from video pls
The thumbnail of this video... Eric Yuan is from China, and I don't think whoever put this thumbnail knows what this color scheme means. Usually it means this person is dead, and this color scheme is used in obituary. When I saw this video on RUclips frontpage, I thought he was dead... Good content of the video though.
Yeah exactly! So confusing
What could be next videocall features of zoom in the future?
I think hologram video call 😮 or through VR.
first customer, always
awesome.
Somebody forgot to lockdown the comment section
Pakistan can learn from You Sir
Hopefully America will not label him as spy and take away his company and property.
In China, black and white picture means this person is gone. Not sure why you use black and white picture as your cover of the video.
BECAUSE IT IS HOW THIS CHANNEL DESIGN ITS THUMBNAILS. Do you think this channel should make SPECIAL design only for him?
Can someone share some insights on what advantages Zoom has over its competitors, such as WebEx, MS Team, Skype, etc.? Thank you!
Try to use them all first
@@yujohnny3050 yes, I have calls with a lot users regularly, roughly equal split among these apps.
great
The black and white picture is really misleading.
As a Chinese, I was like, "Did he die?? And is that why they're talking about him??"
In Asian cultures, black and white photos are only used at memorial services, and if a black and white photo is made of a living person, it would be assumed that you are cursing them to die.
$ZM to the moon
封面图片不好,容易产生误解
Come on! He is not dead, why use a black and white pic?
ROYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
我还以为追悼会,这封面😅
+1
If Covid didn't happen, this interview won't be happen at least for now
Why use a black picture frontpage?
Xiexie and God bless you
The color of your home picture is grey, That I thought someone was dead. WTF
His name is literally "Yuan"
GIVE ME YOUR BOI ROYYY
This is amazing! I love having sex calls over Zoom! Great for mental health over the pandemic
It's all about digital collaboration these days!
@@pelangos yes! Digital collaboration makes things alot easier! However I also like a View From The Top, so digital can't always accomplish that
You are funny...sex calls 😅😅😅😅😅😅
your tile+image, I thought he's dead
I'm sorry the thumbnail made me think he passed away or what. good think i clicked and watched the video to confirm
👍
His last name is money in chinese
Same sound, but different word in written
Teams was hot garbage before Zoom rised but as of last year at the very least Teams has passed Zoom by alot in terms of functionality and ease of use. and that without having user data violation issues
I have trouble understanding Zoom's advantages over its peer products, Skype, Team, etc. To me, they all look alike. Maybe I missed something?
Two Chinese scratching each others back!
better to have an Indian interview ;-)
the host is american born . What is your problem .
Salty Poojeet
Why she it's a honour for? Could she not think of anything else?
Chinese basically rule the world.
Joix
Third!
完全是被封面吸引过来的,微笑的黑白照片,在中国常常被用作遗像,我还以为他挂了呢。
Who in Cisco rejected your idea? You have complete freedom to change the Webex because you are the VP for Webex team. The only reason you left Cisco because you sold Webex to Cisco and earned what you wanted during the years of service in Cisco and your agreement with Cisco for not creating other Webex like product within a certain years has reached.
interesting. Do you have any proofing references or links for what you said?
stop hating man
did he let China monitor and scan our meeting ?
Don't worry, the Chinese government isn't interested in your online sex Zoom calls.
Second :)
FIRST :)
Dont like Zoom its not user friendly, but great lessons here
the thumbnail cover made me think he just died...... Zoom PR should complain about this
He filled his talk with a lot of hot air. A typical Example that someone successful might not say things useful to you
it's not normal or healthy for a stock to fall peak-to-trough almost 90%.
it is normal for all tech or saas or growth stocks
