I have an undated Hobonichi Weeks dupe that I'm going to use until it runs out of pages lol. After that I might try a Roterfaden though; it seems right up my alley
I used a daytimers in the past. It helped keep me on track, i need another one. I can't pronounce these. I tracked to do list, what I Actually did, food eaten. Exercise, money spent, notes. 2 pages per day with 24hr time spread. Then i can track when i sleep too.
It's called buying a leuchturn bullet journal thinking you'd be organized and then cutting out the ten pages you did two years later. Honestly the best organization is the notes app on your phone.
You could add the "scientist" personality type. Dotted grids with pre-numbered pages (e.g. Leuchtturm 1917) make great *research notebooks*. The dots make it easy to jot down tables of numbers, or add plots, while keeping things neat.
My personality is what is usually referred to as "a slave". My boss gives me weekly planners called "shift lists" and they are conveniently already filled out for me.
The only type of planner that works for me is the Bullet Journal. There's enough freedom and I can structure things the way I need them right then. I use monthly and weekly spreads plus a monthly habit tracker. I've stuck with Bullet Journaling for almost 4 years and it still works really well for me. It's so much fun for me, too - every week looks different so it doesn't get boring.
Personally, I love watching people beautify their planners but when it comes to my own planners... maybe one or two spreads per month are "descently" aesthetic while the rest are just completely functionist and filled with text and minimal design. I know how to paint and draw, but I never have the time or patience! 😂😂
I'm definitely multiple planner personalities. Archivist, Perfectionist, Creator and Jetsetter. I use a Jiban Techo Mini as a planner and a Travelers Notebook as my journal. I keep my used inserts in a shoebox or wooden box after dating them.
I’m not sure I’d call myself a Perfectionist, but I sure am enjoying the Jibun Techo! The kit is so nice with the Life and Idea books. Can you translate more of the pages, please? Especially the financial one in the diary! Thanks for the awesome video on the JT. This one was good too, so I can point friends to it to help them find their planner peace.
Hobonichi Weeks works well for me. More of an event calendar than a planner per se. Love it. Minimal but also expansive. Lightweight and I like the monthly calendar, the horizontal days and the extra writing pages. The Hobonichi Techno was too exhausting and cumbersome and heavy! Disliked committing to daily entries. I tried the Jibun Lite last year for tracking but never got into it. I am planning though, on get the A5 Slim Kit to keep at home and use for consistent tracking this year! and creative journaling. I don't like vertical calendars but since I am using it for list purposes and tracking [personal documentation] I think it will be useful. I always use a vintage Berol or Pental mechanical pencil with 2B lead in 5 or 7. I erase so much that I few years ago I found that they were far more practical than pens.
Bullet journaling is the closest thing that has gotten me organized despite my ADHD being described as scorching by at least two separate people. I'm thinking of moving it to a traveler's notebook though because I'm just getting so tired of gluing in / setting up monthly layout and I still want to keep similar subjects together, which is hard in a traditional bullet journal for me
Go-getter, perfectionist, project pro are the most appealing to me but I have no need for time slots. I've seen a variety of formats but none seem exactly right. Frankenplanner personality:)
I’d love to have a planner but I struggle with keeping up with them and idk why. Idk how many journals I’ve bought over the years planning on using them and just abandoned them lol. From this video I would like the go-getter and perfectionist ones
V L late but, I’m the same. So I found that plain to-do lists on those tearaway thin tall pads work well for me. If I stop doing them for a month or more it doesn’t matter, it’s just a blank pad of paper. Also good for making grocery lists.
I think I have Multiple Planner Personality Disorder, it will be in the 2121 DSM Manual and any video about planer personality types. I am a dreamer, creative, trendy type I guess but I don't like labeling people, labels are for products, not people.😉 Having said ALL that my favorite is the Rhodia A5 Dotted Goalbook, I can be as tidy, loose, organised , whatever. I love the paper, as I do all Rhodia paper, and it's just the right journal for meplus I'm a fool for eye candy and all the colors to choose from are a plus.
I'm a hobonichi and a Midori Pouch diary. I've been bouncing between the two now I have both for 2020. Hobonichi A6 for notes, arhival and memories left at home. While I take the pouch on the go to track appointments, online purchases and notes.
Back at the days when I was at university, I was an overachiever studygrammer, although the latest wasn’t a thing back at the day. Mi notes were THE NOTES. The lady operating the copy machine (yes, I graduated almost 20 years ago) used to make an extra copy whenever she saw my notebook, because she knew she would have to copy it several times 🤣🤣🤣
If you have the time to decorate your planner, perhaps you really don't need a planner at all. The perfect planner doesn't exist, but it's so cheap to make your own with the right template you can change it as you need. I have four planners as I try to separate work from family work, household and fun.
I feel like I'm a mix between an Archivist and Dreamer in terms of planners, but I'm definitely a mix of Archivist and Creator when it comes to my diaries :3
I actually found a great planner at a dollar store. It's called Creative Planner / Deluxe Planner Collection; distributed by Midwood Brands, LLC. Undated. I think it cost $5.- and it has pretty much everything I need. Not _too_ creative (if I wanted to make my own, I'd just buy a notebook!). Neat. Have to check if there are more, and stockpile them! 😁 Everything I like will be discontinued, it seems.
Video post date: December 2019. Video: (0:38) "2020 Travel Diary" Me: [bark of laughter] Okay, but that being said... that Dreamer one??? Absolute game changer. I'm going to have to check that one out!
I can not choose so I use different planners for the different aspects if my life. Makes me very happy!! Only one I do not like is Midori paper. Not a fan.
I like minimalist concept. But usually I can give any bag or backpack. No bag or backpack? Because I going light with free hands, or I go with many pockets on winter. It’snt practical for me on real life, and the journally/sketch book with pen I can give with me on bag, backpack or pockets works for me.
seem to be a gogetter/jetsetter, the jetsetting multifacted options, the roter's adapting book, Just need a nice leather cover with pen holder and perfect
Bullet Journal! Give me a notebook and a pen, it’s all I need. Pilot G2 limited 0.7 mm gel pen and Kokuyo soft ring notebook semi B5 graph are all I need. I buy them from Jet Pens.
creator is accurate for me since i have a hobonichi day free for my creative journaling ^_^ i'm using a hobonichi weeks for the upcoming year & i think that'd be a great option for minimalists since it's a simple & light planner (+ tomoe river paper is everything)
I enjoyed watching this. I got different ideas for my BuJo layouts. I'm a mixture-of-these kinda person. I really prefer BuJo but I'd also like to incorporate layouts from these in my spreads. 😊
the creativity type should have had the bullet journal instead cuz it gives you much more freedom to draw and create your own planners however you wish, and theyre obv very unique bcs theyre made by you!
I'm none of these I just make my own planner I guess but if I were to buy a planner I would buy a book which has more pages and those pages are like the Kokuyo Campus dotted line notebook's
Watching this late and tfw you realize Techo is not tech-o but 手帳 😂 (just multilingual's dilemma) Tho for real I enjoyed the narrator's way of reading those non-English names. You don't come across many narrators who bother to learn how certain words are pronounced in their native language, so props to JetPens team 👏
JetPens, you know I love you, but I think you made up personality types to fit the # of planners you wanted to feature. 🤔🙃 I like features of all of them, but I’ve mostly gotten out of using a paper planner per se - I use a combination of apps & simple paper lists. If I *did* still use a paper planner, it would have to be a ring binder like my trusty old Day-Timer so I could pick & choose what features I wanted & in what order. 📒
I buy a journal that has a work of art on each page so that I have something beautiful to turn my mind on when writing. These are published by renowned art galleries.
Since y’all made a how to pronounce Japanese and German stationary supplies. Can you guys have this guy on video pronounce all the English stationary supplies Jet Pens carries ? That would be awesome ! Thanks.
I'm definitely a creative type & I love my Hobonichi Weeks dupe, but I also have a super busy schedule and now I want to try a Roterfaden but I have no money sdgfhkl
Do any of these personality types apply to you? Which planner will you get for 2020?
The jibun techo
I have a planner from PaperBlanks that has a vintage cover and a horizontal weekly layout
I have an undated Hobonichi Weeks dupe that I'm going to use until it runs out of pages lol. After that I might try a Roterfaden though; it seems right up my alley
Midori pouch diary... I wish jetpens be available in India too!!
I am a creator
"Is buying a planner without even ever using it" a personality???
LOL, that's me!
The hoarder type, that's me!
Minimalist
Lol
It is for me! I bought the 2019 hobonichi techno planner last year with the cover and all and never even used it but it’s so pretty...
Is there a planner for procrastinators?
Yep, shoebox full of notes
@@guffaw1711 hahaha
Yes, we have a meeting coming up. We must plan to decide on a date...soon.🤗

Great idea! We'll keep that in mind for future videos.
Thanks for this! 💙
Arhhhh yesssssssssssss
Yes - this is how I identify!
YESSSS! Never thought of this thanks Mate.
"2020 Travel Diary"
_yeah, i dont think so.._
*today i went from my bed to the fridge... again*
That is a texas sized oof.
@@keijello3632 lol XD

That's depressing but also reflective of most work cultures. XP
Him: *2020 travel planner *
Corona virus 🦠: *you ain’t going anywhere *
LMAO i thought the SAME thing
That Midori pouch diary is a dream come true!
If I want all of them? Or is ridiculous not considered a personality type?
Maybe binders with paper of different templates could meet your standard.
The Hobonichi Techo Cousin has almost all of the features listed above. Yearly, Weekly, and Daily pages.
Multiple personality disorder ? ;)
@@KatFib More like rampant consumerism ;)
It is a personality type but there isn’t one planner for people like us. I use 5 different planners to meet all of my needs.
The only type of planner that works for me is the Bullet Journal. There's enough freedom and I can structure things the way I need them right then. I use monthly and weekly spreads plus a monthly habit tracker. I've stuck with Bullet Journaling for almost 4 years and it still works really well for me. And you can draw any of these formats based on your needs at the time 😍
I'm the one that uses small pieces of paper and scatters them around everywhere
The type of trash that I think thrice before throwing it away (mostly I keep it)
I reuse the paper until it is unable to use anymore..
Me too! Then I combine all my notes and add them to my digital documents such as: handbook, to do's, questions, and ideas.
I simply LOVE bullet journaling🤩Could you make a tips for bullet journaling article or video JetPens? It would mean a lot 😊
ChrystalMia Alexandra
Go watch seventeens plan with me
It’s about bullet journals
Hey, you can just watch the bullet journal videos by Ryder Carroll here on RUclips who is the creator of the bullet journal method...!
ChrystalMia Alexandra me too !!
Im the type that writes stuff down like trackers and crap and doesn’t use em. 🤷🏻♀️
Hahaha
i use hobonichi, jibun techo, and traveler's notebook. I don't know who I am anymore.
Personally, I love watching people beautify their planners but when it comes to my own planners... maybe one or two spreads per month are "descently" aesthetic while the rest are just completely functionist and filled with text and minimal design.
I know how to paint and draw, but I never have the time or patience! 😂😂
For me nothing beats the charm, character and customizability of a traveller's journal.

I'm definitely multiple planner personalities. Archivist, Perfectionist, Creator and Jetsetter. I use a Jiban Techo Mini as a planner and a Travelers Notebook as my journal. I keep my used inserts in a shoebox or wooden box after dating them.
I am drawn to a few of these choices. You've presented some great planners. Good job!
Love the Jibun Techo for the 24hr day and that cool little weather tracker.
All the above, considering I use 2 planners ( one for work and goals, another for daily jotting, memory keeping, and artworks) at the same time :D
Definitely the perfectionist here. Already in my 2020 Jibun Techo Biz Mini!
Thanks for doing this video. I didn’t really know about the Mark’s Weekly Planner until this video and glad you showed it. Ordering one now!
I can't decide on a single personality type, so I just use a Filofax and stash it with whatever inserts I feel like.
Bullet journaling is the closest thing that has gotten me organized despite my ADHD being described as scorching by at least two separate people. omg the Gantt chart one. i'm in love. geeking out!
I want a planner that has a place to write a title, date, place and that has alot of lines and space to write like a notebook!
I seem to have multiple personalities and based on the planners I’ve ordered this week it’s subject to change. Mainly a creator & dreamer..
I’d love to have a planner but I struggle with keeping up with them and idk why. Idk how many journals I’ve bought over the years planning on using them and just abandoned them lol. From this video I would like the go-getter and perfectionist ones
