Mr. TechBeast dude it is obvious going to be no they have millions of subs and even if she said she would which won’t happen she said they are all broken
It's so good to hear someone says they finally appreciate the software of a product, especially when they've experienced the "pain". I love coding and I make web apps for the most part, and so many things that the user have on their screen is taken for granted. Literally every interaction, feature, animation, text is painstakingly researched, programmed and optimized by so many talented people to make the experience seamless.
Why is it that every single Verge video with Becca in it would be a fun one? I don't even interested in cameras, but when I see she's doing it, I click it to watch.
Hey Becca, you've just passed through all the possible stages of frustration/excitement we devs are facing every day! Welcome to the club, funny video.
Thanks for making programmers look cool .I built my own AI enabled security camera last year with raspberry Pi . This is a fresh content , I hope to see more .
Yeah, programs. I am doing this for a long time. But I still recall the start with a feeling of nostalgia. When you have no idea, you are really free to make choices.
Honestly, every single one of your videos make me so happy! Your energy just brings your RUclips videos to life. You make things feel more personal and fun, while still being professional. So thank you, and have fun with your new camera!!
Becca, this is super cool! I am a software engineer and a photographer, and love any and all old timey cameras! You have really tempted me! (Though I must say the "hardware days" look super daunting!)
This is the first of Becca's videos I've watched. It's amusing how she stresses over the software, then on the hardware side is like, I'm going to gut this vintage camera and mod it to make a Raspberry pi and touchscreen fit and work, as if it were nothing. Need to catch up on her other videos.
This was awesome. I hope you'll continue to work on it and that we'll get to see more Becca Builds. This stuff doesn't need to be perfect to be compelling and fun content.
This project of yours may very well spark this one project I've had in my head for a while now... Essentially, you know those wiggly 3d cameras? I've wanted one of those for ages, they look so cool. Kinda ala the RETO3D, but digital.
i felt the genuine excitement for Becca when she finally got to the Hardware part. i love soldering, gluing, assembling, cutting, melting plastic, wiring. HATE downloading scripts, looking up parameters, mysterious errors, Linux not booting. so i totally get it. P.S. you're not the first to bring suspect looking keyboards out on the sidewalk here in NYC so don't feel bad.
Okay, this was dope! Very dope. Shout outs to Becca for working through that and making such a cool thing. Love to see it honestly. Also I'm ALL here for this series
I'm in Shenzhen and there's hundreds of places to just buy camera parts and custom boards and stuff. You can even find dudes that can help with soldering for really cheap so I definitely want to try this now
Love watching anything Becca (you almost break through my screen!) or Dieter. So much knowledge, humanity and charm summed up in two completely packages.
I should mention... As an electronic engineer, please don't think that developing camera hardware is as easy as that, maybe the case... From the CMOS sensors required, the noise filters that get the signals from the sensors, the lenses to manipulate the light, that's where the hardware complexity lies. But cool project nontheless ;)
It seems like this camera lacks an ir cut filter, from all the purple shadows and black cloth being turned int purple in the sunlight. So If you guys want this thing to look as good as possible, I recommend a heliopan ir-uv cut filter to get proper and accurate colors.
Have you built a custom camera before?
Nope
I have a solution, how can I send you ?
@@algoboi No

You’re not alone buddy

Same and also here for Jon Porter
This definitely should have been called the “Beccam”

Given a team to work on the code and platform, an evf, a small powersupply, and a 3D printed body? You got yourself a personal grade camera
