He met her for the first time when she came from Uganda. It really amazing how she speak Chinese so fluently. How did she even begin how did it happen those are the questions she should have asked. It is not surprising that Rose can learn the language. People don't realize that African people know several local languages as well as their country's official language. They have great abilities with languages.
So true. I am of Nigerian heritage and my mum speaks three Nigerian languages, Igbo, Yoruba and Hausa. I lived in China for 10 years and my mum came to visit twice. She was able to understand some basic Chinese within two weeks.

As a child, potatos leaves were considered poor man's food when I lived in the village. Now it is so expensive in the stores. There is no such thing as poor man food if it is nourishing and beneficial to health. Every edible greens are a gift for humans. Rose, you are so fortunate to be able to get so many fresh and delicious greens.
Potato leaves are expensive here in the USA too. I saw the Africans buying it so I followed and got some. Went home cook it with garlic, pinch of salt and olive oil. It tasted so good.
actually chinese is easy to speak, as it have simple grammar rule. If you want to learn to speak chinese, it is even simpler than learning English. The real hard part is to remember the Charactors that used for writing
A lot of Africans can speak more than 1 language. This is because in one African country, you can find more than 10 languages going up to more than hundred.
It’s normal for an African to speak multiple languages. One language speaking is not very common ( there are few) to come by. I speak Twi, Ga, English, greek( Cypriot greek aka kypriaka) and the now learning German because I here now.
The village Rose lives in is the most beautiful I have seen from any RUclips videos. Everyone always shows big cities and crowded tourist traps. It is the most clean breath of air to see community and fresh food and people cooking at home with love and sharing. This is how life should be. It makes me happy to see someone living such a meaningful life. Proof that the truth about other places and people is in the lovely beauty of their hearts and it is so refreshing.
What I observed is that children are roaming around freely, doors are not locked, they don't have big walls around their homes. Looks like they don't have any crime there. I would love to live in a place like this 😍 💕

Africans normally speak at least 3 language. Hence, it shouldn't be as hard as for those of us who know only one. They already have the mental gymnastics locked.
If you don't speak a second language I can see how difficult it might be to learn other languages. In Africa we speak several languages so it's easy for us to learn Italian, German, chinease etc.

Rose is an amazing woman. She is blessed with a beautiful family living in a beautiful village. Also I think the host is so ignorant of the fact that China had a 4 decade mission to lift its people out of poverty--which was successfully achieved in 2021. This beautiful village has obviously benefitted from that. If only our developing countries all over the world can adopt that economic development model from the Chinese, we would be better off-both in our towns and villages.

I've been watching Rose on her channel for months now. I like the way she has blended her life so well in the village. I must also appreciate her husband, from the videos, I understand that he really loves Rose too. As an African, I love to see this. To see that my African sister is well treated in her foreign new family in deep remote village in a far away country makes me really happy. I just want to wish Rose and her husband the best. Rose speaks fluently, but she still finds it hard to read the Chinese characters. Her husband is very lucky. Not everyone will be able to speak Chinese this fluently in such a short time. The fact that she learnt how to make their dishes says a lot about her as an individual. She adapted into the culture, appreciated it and accepted it. No, she hasn't been able to go back home to Ugandan since she went to China. But she does call her mother once in a while. Her family lives in a village in Uganda, too. So communication could be hindered by the fact that both areas have weak phone signals.

They really tried to make it a documentary of rural china and how it has developed.. the mention of roads was aplenty. But in all honesty, Rose' authenticity and her human interest story is enough to win anyone over.
This was an extremely interesting topic but the interviewer failed terribly. Rose is such an interesting woman. They should have asked more in-depth questions like how and where she met her husband, how old she is etc. I also feel the interviewer was abrupt and not much of a people person, I could be wrong but idk

Rose is an amazing woman. She is blessed with a beautiful family living in a beautiful village. Also I think the host is so ignorant of the fact that China had a 4 decade mission to lift its people out of poverty--which was successfully achieved in 2021. This beautiful village has obviously benefitted from that. If only our developing countries all over the world can adopt that economic development model from the Chinese, we would be better off-both in our towns and villages.

I've been watching Rose on her channel for months now. I like the way she has blended her life so well in the village. I must also appreciate her husband, from the videos, I understand that he really loves Rose too. As an African, I love to see this. To see that my African sister is well treated in her foreign new family in deep remote village in a far away country makes me really happy. I just want to wish Rose and her husband the best. They are so humble, and so real, no fake luxury, no unnecessary make ups. This is so unique! Thanks to this channel for this interview too.

Rose speaks fluently, but she still finds it hard to read the Chinese characters.
Her husband is very lucky. Not everyone will be able to speak Chinese this fluently in such a short time. The fact that she learnt how to make their dishes says a lot about her as an individual.
She adapted into the culture, appreciated it and accepted it.
No, she hasn't been able to go back home to Ugandan since she went to China. But she does call her mother once in a while. Her family lives in a village in Uganda, too. So communication could be hindered by the fact that both areas have weak phone signals.

I was sorry to read a few negative comments but Rose continues to shine in all her videos. She says she is happy with her life and it's clear from the actions of her husband he admires and loves her and their beautiful son. Rose isn't just a talented cook but l am seriously impressed with her fluent Mandarin. You cannot help but admire Rose and it's clear to see her Community has welcomed her warmly. I'm originally from a rural community and it's not always about material things in this life. They really tried to make it a documentary of rural china and how it has developed.. the mention of roads was aplenty. But in all honesty, Rose' authenticity and her human interest story is enough to win anyone over.
This was an extremely interesting topic but the interviewer failed terribly. Rose is such an interesting woman. They should have asked more in-depth questions like how and where she met her husband, how old she is etc. I also feel the interviewer was abrupt and not much of a people person, I could be wrong but idk
