      To be honest we don't really know. They were here when we bought the house and we aren't really gardeners. Sorry.

    Question. The tall part that attaches to the swivel, the part that you slide the umbrella into, is yours slightly angled? Mine is slightly angled. Thanks for your time.

      Hi Valerie. Thanks for the comment. I'm not sure. I'll have a look over the weekend and let you know. Robert

      I asked coolaroo customer service and he replied “I THINK it’s supposed to be like that” not very reassuring…

      Hi Valerie. I have checked and none of the poles on the umbrella seem to be deliberately angled. The upright could be a little off straight up but then again it could be that it's not sitting on the ground too flat. Robert

      Can I private message you a pic?? We put it all together again tonight and it just seems off.

    Nice video, thanks. Is it still in one piece?

      Thanks for the comment. It is, been down a couple of years now. The turf we have round the back of the house is worn out so we'll need to get it replaced but we can't get the same as the stuff in the video unfortunately. Should have bought enough for the whole area at once. Oh well. Robert

      @@quriouskoala4651 sorry. I meant is the brolly in one piece. Apologies about confusion.

      Sorry, of course, it's obvious now I read it again. Yeah it is still in one piece. The only downside I've found is that if you tilt it and the wind gets under it then it can blow over quite easily because of the size of the canopy. Fine when it's horizontal though.
      I have 4 concrete blocks on the base but may put another 4 on to make it a bit more secure. It's a really solid unit and we're very happy with it. We were looking at a fixed gazebo originally then realised that as the sun moved it would come under the gazebo whereas with the umbrella we can adjust it to keep the area in shade longer. Hope that's of help but let me know if there's anything else you want to ask. Robert

      @@quriouskoala4651 hi, if you measure with a measuring tape is it actually 4m in width

      Really? I'll give it a go. The box said 3m X 4m and it looks rectangular but I never actually measured it. Thanks

    Hi There, What is the paver size you used? Great idea :)

    • @quriouskoala4651
      @quriouskoala4651  2 года назад +1

      Hi Ankit. Thanks for the comment. The pavers are 400mm X 400mm. 4 of them work really well whilst the umbrella is horizontal but struggle a bit it it's at an angle and the wind gets under it. Might end up having to double up on the pavers for a bit more weight.
