SW pure white is always a safe bet. There is a great color I love called Moderne White by SW. Aesthetic white and city loft are also beautiful. Also SW.

I had that for some time behind my lounge but it was a pain because it gets covered in hair and fluff it was a really pain in the but when it came time to cleaning so I got ride of that. And what I have done is I got the picture frame shelf from IKEA and put them into the wall behind the lounge level with the timber part is at the top of the lounge which has worked out really well the lounge doesn’t move at all plus it gives you a place for your tv remote and even my phone and controller and they are laying on coffee tables or cabinets

The stools look so good, I'm sure it's because you had a great helper! I wasn't sure about the beadboard on the sides of the cabinets, but I know it will look great once you get everything painted, I can't wait to see it all finished.

I am also a fan of beadboard. The new toe kicks and trim make such a big difference and just finish off the cabinets so nicely. Can’t wait to see the cabinets painted next week!

I love everything! And I’m just like you in time management. I always think things are going to be so much faster and easier than they turn out to be. And I make grandiose plans too that take me days to do too. Oh, and my husband says exactly the same thing about not being able to picture in his mind how something will turn out. He actually calls it having no imagination. I’m like you, I’ll come up with an idea and I can “see” it in my head. But when I try to explain to Al what I want to do…I get the eyeballs with the X’s over them look. Lol. I think we are lucky to have that ability. The whole house is just getting better and better all the time-and it started out gorgeous to begin with. It’s a pretty house! And I love the floor plan. It has really nice flow. I think I’m going to redo my dining room table and chairs with that beyond paint. It’s a really dark wood now, and it’s scratched up (yay cats) and the table has a chip in it. So I could fix all that and make it look new again. And I really love the look of it, and the chairs too. And it matches the China cabinet and that’s still gorgeous. But I’d still paint it to match. I love Ollie. He looks just exactly like my cat Noche! Noche is a very special cat, very smart, very attached to me, and me to him. He’s like my little boyfriend. Ha! I just love him so much. And he looked exactly the same as Ollie as a kitten. All black exact a little white medallion on his chest and a couple of white toe tips. There is something extra about black cats. 🐈⬛ 🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈 (Noche, Felix, Ollie and Benji) ❤. Get some rest!

Also, watching you sand down the seat of those chairs and then painting the frames, with Noah’s help of course, gave me so many ideas. Can’t wait to see everything all come together.

Love the beveled corners on the island. I have the same rounded corners on mine. Now, if I decide to go with bead board, I have a way to deal with the corners. The little black kitty is so precious.

I def think you’ll be happiest with white cabinets so that’s still my vote. The bead board honestly is turning out so well! I was on the fence but your vision truly is coming to life. Keep pushing on those projects. I know how long those renovation days feel but it’s going to be great when it’s done and you’re going to feel so inspired to cook and spend time with the fam.

My dad did the same thing to space my parent's couch out from the wall recently. Sometimes the simplest solution is the best solution. He used a similar spacer for my bed when I was a teenager❤
I've always used at least 3 costs of poly with it's that are used alot. Just to protect it. You need a couch table to go behind the couch. Its a tall thin table that keeps the couch from hitting the wall.
It’s looking amazing 🤩 everything you do turns out beautifully For paint colours I would either go white or an off-white shade that you can match from shades in the countertops and I’d have have black splash backs either in full sized pieces or the brick style tiles xx❤

We do the wood behind the couch thing too, but instead of long pieces of wood behind the entire couch we just to smaller pieces about about 6 inches and put them just behind the legs of the couch. I love the look of the chairs. Can't wait to see the final reveal of the kitchen after the painting.
Such an improvement, you would think a new countertop would not make that much difference but I love the light color and the island one level, that really makes such a difference. Love the 2 tone chairs. This kitchen will look so custom once you are finished! I was trying to figure out what you might do on the side top cabinet where it was coming away, BOY, that beadboard looks fantastic! What a great remedy. Beautiful choices!

We do the wood behind the couch thing too, but instead of long pieces of wood behind the entire couch we just to smaller pieces about about 6 inches and put them just behind the legs of the couch. I love the look of the chairs. Can't wait to see the final reveal of the kitchen after the painting.
Such an improvement, you would think a new countertop would not make that much difference but I love the light color and the island one level, that really makes such a difference. Love the 2 tone chairs. This kitchen will look so custom once you are finished! I was trying to figure out what you might do on the side top cabinet where it was coming away, BOY, that beadboard looks fantastic! What a great remedy. Beautiful choices!

Loving the beadboard and the chairs! We also did beadboard on the sides of our cabinets. I really like the look. Everything is coming along so great. I can't wait to see the cabinets painted.

Wow what a transformation. I love everything about it. I'm exhausted just watching you do it all. I would also have the cabinets done bc you're not using Beyond Paint so all the prep work involved. Plus you saved so much doing the island design yourselves. So excited to see it all finished 💜💙💚💛🧡
