My brother Mark designed the interiors for this car. He's worked for Jaguar Land Rover for at least 25 years now. He's an amazing designer. Every time I see a LR video I always mention it because I am so proud of him and his achievements. Growing up, he used to draw cars constantly. LR made a great decision to resurrect the Defender. And my brother and his team have done them (and me) proud. x
So now we know who to blame for destroying the Defender. No doubt he never used an original Defender in his life, or travelled to places where t excelled. Sympathies.

Don't forget, well, first of all my brother is responsible for the interiors and second of all there is a corporate policy about bringing all the vehicles in the range (ho ho!) around to a similar look, just as they do at Ford, Vauxhall, Jaguar and other manufacturers. My brother has just celebrated 25 years at Land Rover, and his interiors have been inspected and appreciated (I say madam!) by everyone including the late Her Majesty. As far as I know the Defender is doing very well. x

Also, it is the 5th most returned vehicle during it's first year of ownership, which speaks volumes about the consumer satisfaction it's delivering. If the Queen was still around, she'd be driving a Jeep Gladiator or the Grenadier around the farm instead of a new Defender. Even at the end she was tougher than the new Defender owners with their man-buns and their over-the-shoulder man-purses.
It's an incredibly beautiful car. At first I could not accept it as a successor of the classic Defender, but then I took a closer look and realized that this incarnation is great.
I had a Beach Truck named "Betsy" she was a '97 Yellow Defender 90. I miss Betsy to this day. Congratulate your brother Mark and his Team. Just Outstanding. Cheers!

I like the truck but the extended version looks goofy and the off-roading capabilities can’t be great with all that rear sticking out lol. I’d stick with the 110 v8 version.
