Reader Rabbit Reading 4-6 is a game created by The Learning Company in 1998. It is an updated version of Reader Rabbit's Interactive Reading Journey. A personalized version of this game was released in 1999 with A.D.A.P.T. Learning Technology.

Thank you for posting this. It was a great example of the early use of Journey Maps and how to tie lessons together. I think many curriculum designers can learn from their work. These maps give students a clear pathway to a future goal and what they need to do to get there. It kept my kids highly motivated to keep on task!
2:07 is such a beautiful song!
I remember playing the 1998 re-release of this PC game back in the early 2000s. The opening song was fabulous, and the short stories were fun. 20+ years later, I have just played it again for nostalgia. Reader Rabbit's Learn To Read With Phonics: Preschool-Kindergarten was my most favorite Reader Rabbit game about learning to read though. Thanks very much for uploading this video since it brings back excellent childhood memories!
that “ cotton candy “ at 1:04:34 was burned into my brain ever since I played this when I was little. Literally the reason I even thought of finding this haha
OH MY GOODNESS I STARTED THE LONG JOURNEY DOWN MEMORY LANE RIGHT AT THE BEGINNING WITH THE INTRO OF WHO MADE THIS GAME
Mat is an artist to paint the picture of the mouse herself instead of Sam?
2:30:37 marks the end of the journey for me.
As a kid, the way the voice says "Cotton Candy" made me laugh every time. Now that I'm older...it's still just as hilarious.
+MarthTrinity you can even hear the guy who said the word laugh after he says it XD
Yes XD
@Aramaru 1837 1:04:36
@@emmielaine7352 Mat shows Sam the book. Sam falls in the hole. Sam sleeps in the bed. Mat paints the picture of Sam.
Probably the most memorable line from this game that I still remember clearly. I still say it when I spot cotton candy at a carnival. I remember my one cousin kept laughing when I showed him the game back in the year 2000. Also I think the voice actor laughs a little after he says it!
There is so much nostalgia for me when I watch this. I used to play this game when I was a little kid. I remember placing books on the floor, pick them up and read them one by one.
The ants are still my favorite part of this game. I used to click the wrong words on purpose because my brother and I thought the way they said "YUCK!" was the funniest thing under moon and sun! XD Still makes me smile!
Same!

12:20 *MUNCH* BLECHHH!!! 😂😂😂
Damn I haven’t seen this game in 16 years easily, yet I can remember this like the back of my hand.
I loved this one so much! Its so much fun to go through these nostalgic games.
That song at 2:07 was pure nostalgic magic!
I realized I was sorta wrong: I actually grew up with the older version of this. A few of the clickable animations are new, and some of the stories were edited with new dialogue.
I don't know if it was this one.. but, I remember one with a different looking rabbit in my 5th grade class to help teach us type on a keyboard.
I hated every moment of it.
But, now.. I can write without even looking at the keys. I can code websites. So- shout out to you, Mr. Duffy. For never giving up on your students. Rest in peace.
2:44 POP: To put this in a not so rhyming way, this is a handy map to use! See these gates? There are five gates in all! Open them, and we’re moving on up to the castle! It takes reading to get the job done wherever you are! Remember, if you ever need help, click Mat. She’ll give you the down low. And if you wanna see your stuff, click me! I’ll be open in a flash! So have fun! Learn big! Don’t forget to write!
For years I have tried to find this game..... Thank you...

I Like the Train, Track, Trail scene it's given me an idea for something for me to try out. And I even love the "Tr" is for Train Track Trail.
The mud story
Reader Rabbit: Mit is mad at Mat.
Me: well can you blame him?
It’s crazy because this game barely teeters on the edge of me remembering aspects of it and also not. Like the opening scene with the lion I remember in a weird childlike way, triggers fuzzy memories
2:07 POP: I couldn’t have said it better myself, mouse lady! Okay, kids! Let’s get going! And how? We get to signing in!

Wow this really takes me back to Kindergarten! It was one of the Learning Company CD's I used to own.
This touched the very back of my mind of nostalgia
WOW, I used to play that game when I was a kid. I don't remember if I've played Doom around the Reader Rabbit times, but I think I have.
Never thought I'd meet another player of Reader Rabbit that's also played Doom, Wolfenstein, Quake.
We're the same you and I.
Awesome! So hi, what's up?
Oh sorry, I forgot to tell you. It's me: Irvinegamer. This is my other account for different purposes that's closer to 3rd party issues. I do music mixes along with video editing stuff that youtube may consider 3rd party rights in issues.
Oh I see. It's nice to make separate channels for what you do in case of copyright troubles. I wanna do some games based off of media like Little Bear or Arthur, but I'm not entirely sure cause of the annoying copyright problems. I know that Dr. Seuss games nor Scholastic games might not work.
Wow. I used to play this when I was kid. When I saw the lion leave on the flying car at the end I actually thought the lion died and went to heaven in a flying car. I was devastated. I thought about that for years. What nostalgia
You too? That's exactly what I thought!
At the very beginning where Mat is talking about the kingdom that everyone has, I thought that if it were a Christian game, this would be that dialogue.
"There's a kingdom our there for everybody!"
"Everybody?"
"Yep. Everybody."
"How to I find my kingdom?"
"Explore and look! Read The Good Book, and wherever you go, always follow the Romans road!"
Just me? Lol
Mat is an artist to paint the picture of the mouse herself instead of Sam?
Yeah, it's just you.
This was one of my favorite games when I was a kid (along with the Sesame Street game Elmo hosted). I think I even still have the program and the box the whole thing came in, but I'm not sure where it is. Probably buried in my closet somewhere.
35:55 Dancing Daffodils
They were my favorite part
1:34:38: A pair of Polka dotted puppies
ahhhh... the nostalgia
This was the best game when I was little
I'm happy that I finally got to see the orange snail win the race. I was tired of the blue one always winning.
Mat is an artist to paint the picture of the mouse herself instead of Sam?
Wow this really brings back memories. I remember being the best at reading in my class when I was in my first year of school, because I spent so much time playing reader rabbit games :3
This gave me practice when I had to play the ages 6-9 version of this at school for a class reading lesson. Everyone else was learning the ropes while I ROCKETED my way through
Lol same!! I had a few of the Reader Rabbit and Clue Finders games and I always killed everybody else at spelling bees and reading. Funny.

I remember I used to play this all the time when I was a kid, though I mostly replayed old games because I couldn't think of a lot of names to start new games with.

Baby Bear: (beeps her belly button) Beep! Beep!

As a child, I played this game all the way to the end far more than I can ever remember
Wow. I remember having another rabbit game ! What on earth could it be.
This was my childhood.
Its really awesome when a game teaches you things much better than teachers in real life.

So you basically have to click on the blue snail thrice and he wins. Click on the green snail five times and he wins. And click on the orange snail nine times and he wins. Of course you have to wait until the correct words appear on their respective shells.

named PAYTON MCCARTHY who is saying, "Caught me also about a reason." At the Sunrise Mall Westfield in this Massapequa on Saturday 5/25/2013.
