I've played LBP on the PS3 when it came out and... honestly, LBP has nothing on Astro Bot. LBP was kinda trash, this is honestly a masterpiece.

@@batmabel LBP2 was imagination galore. Mario Maker barely scratches the surface. I liked it more than AstroBot
LBP is fun, but it’s also really janky. The jumping and general physics feel weird, and its ability to actually put truly functional enemies in a level were very limited. Astro Bot just feels so much better and more polished.
It's crazy what happens when you use our absurdly powerful modern hardware to create worlds that you could only dream of rather than just making "real life... but again" for the ACTUAL thousandth time.

This game has given Bloodborne more attention than Sony has in YEARS
As much as love narratively driven games, and they're still my favorite. Sometimes i don't want to see a deep story, or read way too much into a games lore. Sometimes i just want to get my controller and have some goofy fun, because at that specific day I'm feeling low and just want something to make me say "what a goofy and very fun game"

Sony did not make a Nintendo game. Sony finally remembered how to make games they used to make all the time. Nintendo simply makes games that used to be popular, but since you cannot shove a battlepass into them, they kind of died out. Astro Bot is the last, dying gasp of an era of Sony that I thought had died out a long time ago.
Hope they don't patent the gameplay mechanics and sue Sony

Yahhh i beat this in 3 days with 24h playtime and was so sad to platnium trophy this one. Beyond in love with Astrobot but i just love to hear about how much other people loved it too. Im only on Playstation and ive always wanted to get into Mario but im glad this is what came out of the genre cause i wasnt buying a switch , wii or anything else like that

Do not fret! A PC port is rumoured. (Basically some tweets of the lead people going "i wonder how fans might feel about a pc port" which is basically corporate speech for "we are making a pc port". although not confirmed, i'd give it time.

Astro Bot feels like Sony look towards Mario Galaxy and Kirby and the Forgotten Land while thinking "we have a really cool controller we can use for some fun and interesting gimmicks" and then the guy who said "lets turn it into a corporate cashgrab" got thrown out of the window because you can actually feel all the love and care radiating from the game

This game is so cool, and kinda reminds me of the ps1/ps2 era, kinda like when they did monster house for the ps2. Hint hint, nudge nudge, wink wink. Violently suplexes you from a 3 story building onto said hint.
Idk what drugs sony execs are taking to make this in addition to the PS5 Profit and Concord, but idk if they should continue or stop taking them with their certified bangers/trash that they keep dropping.

4:29 you don’t have any 100% proof. One in the video isn’t anything creative, easy to think about, the game genre that’s is about character just jumping (there are also power ups, but it’s mainly about jumping and running AT IT’S CORE) is very primitive idea and probably thousands of people had this idea before Mario, but they weren’t able to program game or just didn’t wanted.
Also I don’t think that it’s easy to make a good platformer, just the idea of platformer as genre isn’t anything very creative like for example roguelikes/roguelites, some sandboxes, puzzle games (not with actual puzzles)
I’m tired of this brain dead talking that if something is similar then it’s inspired or copied.
For example civilizations, that didn’t had the contact which each other were able to came up with similar ideas
Also to be clear I don’t see a problem either talking that both games are similar and giving some comparison, but I’m annoyed by saying something without 100% proof partly just based on what someone think

It's absolutely HILARIOUS that Sony spent 8 years and god knows how much money developing a game that would be "THE FUTURE OF HERO FPS MOBA" just to get its servers shutdown within a week, and then release an under-advertised game that has a lot of "demo to show the hardware and software capabilities of the console" vibes... and have it be so critically aclaimed.
It almost feels like it was a "-hey, can we add this thing to the game? +look, we are focusing on the big project, you are free to do whatever" kind of project.

Asobi literally means something along the lines of "playing", "having fun" and such (feel free to correct me on this). So, seeing Astro Bot, that absolutely checks out.

Yeah, I like Norse Mythology too. And also really like Loki (in proper Norse Mythology, especially). Still, though, don’t personally love the game- but might download it just for Loki & Norse Mythology.

Sunshine + 3d land + galaxy sub areas + odyssey engine = perfection
The best part about this game isn't that it's a refreshing 3d platformer, but it's the fact that nintendo is gonna have to go crazy with their new games to keep up

PlayStation is like that type of parent that favours it's own children for success and those that don't either get very little attention or ignored and when they do bring in success they act they have like a good history together..however I'm not happy that Naughty Dog is still working on The Last of Us despite in general is not a good series even on the 1st game since and with Sucker Punch making Ghost of Tsushima in it's own series and Insomniac working towards more to Marvel I can say I hate the space of Triple A Cinematic blockbuster games

Of the 100+ "Sony Exclusive" references, Only 2 were PS5 exclusives. The rest were from previous generations, and over 20% have thier franchises are gone forever and unpurchaseable. So pretty wild to talk about Nintendo being only nostalgia on Sony's game about nostalgia for previous consoles. Especially with how many of Nintendo's IPs shape that market around them. Breath of the Wild came out and every from Sony to fucking SEGA was trying to hop on that trend it singlehandedly made. You can just say the game's great (which it is), you don't have to take stupid and random swings.
