    Beautiful playing! I’ve been playing a Godin nylon and not happy with it, especially at higher volumes. The sound of your guitar is great. Could you tell me what settings you are using and what type of amplification you have to get the very electric - yet acoustic sound you have?

    • @Bigtel1970
      @Bigtel1970  Год назад +5

      Hi! Thanks very much 😊
      I have had a couple of Godin’s - the first was the Multiac which I found to be ‘underpowered’ if that makes sense? I found I had to play it quite hard to get it sounding half decent.. so I traded up to one of the expensive ones - around £1800. That was really nice actually - the pickup was just more sensitive and it performed really well. I eventually moved from that to a more traditional electro-classical flamenco guitar (as I was more moving toward flamenco styles which required a bigger hollow body for slaps and taps etc.
      Now I play at weddings I bought this guitar and I love it. The sound I have from it is exactly as it comes out of the guitar with the bass and treble in the mid positions. I’ve output this directly to my video camera so the signal is exactly as it would be when I plug in headphones.
      Try one out, I think you’ll be impressed 😊

    Good and useful review and you are a great guitarist. I need an advice. The action is too high in my SLGN mainly in the lower part of the neck. For me is important because I play jazz, I will go to the luthier for this. Do you think I need to let regulate only truss rod or to file the saddle and or the nut? Thanks a lot for your reply and suggestions. Francesco

    • @Bigtel1970
      @Bigtel1970  2 года назад +2

      Hi Francesco, I would suggest taking it to a luthier. I did lower the bridge and tighten the truss rod myself and it worked well, but if you wanted a really low action then you might need the frets lowered too?

      I used a wireless transmitter BOSS WL-20L to go from the guitar to a small Mackie mixer, then straight from the mixer into the camera. The sound of the guitar is exactly what the guitar makes itself - I’ve added no effects at all.

    I need some advice .. Yamaha SLG200N and Yamaha SLG200Nw which one is better to buy, I know One hundred The width of the neck differs by 2 mm. and sound too ...

    • @Bigtel1970
      @Bigtel1970  3 года назад +5

      I think the only deciding factor would be whether or not you’re used to acoustic or electric guitars.. if you’re more of a player of these then go for the thinner neck... I’m personally more of a classical / Spanish guitar player so I opted for the thicker neck.
      Sound wise I’m guessing they’re not going to differ much - that might just come down to string choice.
      But, everything being said, I love the sound of this guitar and it’s amazing for recording with 👍

      Wrong. Toys don't have rosewood fretboard and SRT modeling. You've been copy pasting your nasty remarks in every SLG 200N video. Most people disagree with you. Maybe once you take guitar lessons you can learn how to play it!
