So many styles of kali/escrima I'm confused as where to start. Do the stick represent a blade in balintawak?

yes,, it can be knife, can be a bolo or it can be a barehand

The stick CAN be the actual weapon, or represent a longer blade/bolo/machete... all of it can be done empty hand or with a knife too...
