If you want Ultra concealment and don't care too much about track record or reliability, then the Sig 365 is a good option. I shot it and I was ok with it, it is just too damn skinny and snappy to use as a Range pistol. The G26 fulfills all the roles. Magazine compatibility, Aftermarket availability, Home Defense, Concealment (Ankle, IWB) and Range pistol.
I've held both these guns and shot both, the Glock feels Fuller and Meatier for more accurate and comfortable shooting. It's as close as you can get to a Full sized pistol without being Full sized. The weight and feel of the G26 is very balanced and leveled. I wanted to hate Glocks because of their uninspiring bland design and fanboy annoyances, but when you shoot them and hold them, it is undeniable why people cannot just walk away from this brand. It is a Work Horse, No Frills piece of machinery specifically designed for war. That's it. No more, no less.

Facts! With the 12 rd OEM mag, it's golden for a full grip and still more concealable than a 19. If that doesn't work for you, you can always use the standard 10 rd mags.

The Glock 26 was a double stack wonder 9 before double stack wonder 9s were even a thing. I’ve had one since 2000 and I’ve carried it with OEM +2 extensions since I bought it new. 12+1 in an incredibly reliable gun that has aged very well. I paid $349 for mine in 2000 and I’d upgrade to the Gen 5 but the Gen 3 I own is still in great shape with thousands of rounds through it. I shot a 365 and I didn’t like how snappy it was. The Glock 26 might be just a tiny bit bigger but it feels a lot easy to control than the 365 did to me. I’m not saying the 365 is a bad gun, it’s just not as nice to me as the Glock 26.

I prefer the G26 over the P365 SAS all day long, even as my carry weapon. I think that says a lot, considering I'm 5ft 1, which can pose an issue with concealment (short torso). I find that even appendix carry is easily concealed. I suppose to each their own, but my G26 is where it's at for me.

What sucked was I had gotten rid of my 26 after buying the 365 a really dumb move in hind sight. Great video and reviewing! I carried the glock 26 for several years. The P365 replaced it as my back up and off duty gun. The 365's size makes it easier to carry on the ankle, and has the same sight picture and similar trigger as my p320 primary duty pistol. The glock 26 is still a very good pistol for ccw. Find whats best for you and become proficient with it.

MY personal take: I own both of these firearms. The P365 feels very "top heavy" because of limited breath of grip available and difficult to CONSISTENTLY shoot acceptable groupings. Just makes the gun very "snappy". The G26 has a much "meatier" grip feel like my G19 thus reducing that snappy recoil which produces more CONSISTENT groupings for me.

Good thorough comparison. I have an original (gen 2.5) Glock 27 and a P365. I've tried a few different CCW pistols, including the G43. After trying the P365, I found the solution that best works for me. However, I still own my original G27, which will go with me to the grave.

so as not to sound like a sig fan body, watching these videos during the Corona quarantine lmao... Sig is smaller, lighter, more ergonomic, and shoots like a much bigger gun... 2020, my born on date January 2020... 500 rounds so far no problems. Primer drag solved, nothing like we used to see. Shoots like a much bigger pistol, accuracy great, fills my hand fantastically. I actually Prefer the mag without the pinky extension, easier to conceal, just as comfortable to shoot. Love this darn thing. Only thing is I wish they would make one that is the size of the LCP 2 lol so I can ankle carry it in deep concealment.

Wow! That was a lot of good info and presented concisely. I own both the G26 Gen 4 and the Sig P365. Both are fantastic guns. I’ve had the G26 for much longer, so there’s a longer history of reliability with it. I also had the G26’s slide milled (by ATEi) and have a Trijicon SRO on it, so I shoot it more accurately and faster. (These eyes just ain’t what they used to be.). But I’ve never had any type of malfunction with either gun. If I had to bug out right now and could take only one gun with me, it would be the G26, no question about it. I keep a couple of 17RD mags and a 33RD mag in my bag for such an occasion and for long road trips. 👍

While I appreciate that you did the trigger reach measurement as most reviewers don't, your trigger reach measurement is not accurate because you are not taking into consideration the width of the grip. The Glock is wider therefore it could added another .25 inch to the reach. I would also argue that reach is probably the most important measurement of the gun, because not all hands and fingers are the same. What fits one hand may not even be close to fitting somebody else's. If A gun does not fit the shooter's hand correctly, then they are going to have to work harder to get it to shoot straight.

In my educated opinion the only 3 concealed carry guns worth mentioning are the P365 XL, Glock 26 & Glock 19. Personally I don't trust my life to ANYTHING but a Glock, so I carry a Glock 45 as primary and Glock 26 with 12 rd OEM mag as back up. I didn't mention the 45 which is the best shooter because most can't conceal it. Anyway I've owned them all and that's my opinion. If I could trust my life to the p365 XL that would be the one but I cannot.

Great video!! The little pinky extension on the Sig P365, which doesn’t really exist on the Glock 26, is the part that prints when concealed carrying inside the waistband in the 4 o’clock position. I added a pinky extension on my Glock 43, and that part of the handle sticks out as much as my Glock 23 with a flush mag. The Glock 23 is obviously thicker and maybe slightly less comfortable to conceal carry versus the Glock 43, but having so many extra rounds makes it worth it to me.

But when I tried out the Sig P365, I was instantly convinced that i needed to look into it further because of Sig’s reputation and because of the small size of the gun. I ended up getting one and haven’t looked back, even though I’ll never get rid of my G26. The P365 is just so much more comfortable to carry and easier to conceal. I have about 1,500 rounds through it and have not had one problem with it.

Interestingly, I found the Gen 2 and Gen 3 G26/G27 to feel horrible in hand. Then it got slightly better with Gen 4, but the finger grooves were uncomfortable and it still had the classic Glock “snowplow” trigger. Then Gen 5 shaved off the finger grooves and smoothed the trigger face, so it’s much improved over previous generations...for me.

The biggest part problem for conceal is the grip. The grip is longer than the G26. The G26 with the +2 Pearce is about equal height to the Sigg 365 and you get 12 rounds. The 365 also has a shorter site length. The Sig is better 15 yards and closer. For that distance if you need more than eight rounds you’re in big trouble.

Have both also. The 365 wins in every aspect imo as well as every single one of my active and retired military/ police. The first gen p-365 is what people refer to when they talk about it not being reliable. The track record for the 2nd, 3rd, etc. generations is impeccable. Not to mention the sig is perfect out of the box with arguably the best sights possible compared to plastic junk…. Still blows my mind how many they sell with such horrible sights at the high price point. I love glocks but people forgot all the lawsuits against them because it’s been some time. The 365 was truly groundbreaking and has turned many of glock fan boys to the sig side. Also put pressure on all the manufacturers to innovate which is good for everyone. Glock has some of the most loyal customers so we’re all ready for them to step it up 👀

Even when you don’t clean a glock for 3k rds they’ll still fire no problem. If my sig p365 ever starts having problems then I might buy a glock but so fiat so good with my p365. Only problem I’ve had with sig so far is I ordered a backup striker assembly back in October 21 2020 abs still haven’t gotten it. I called sig and told them. They ordered me one and made it a warrenty issue and says they’d send it out the next day and that they had a bunch in stock. Great video. To me both the P365 and Hellcat shine for pocket carry. For IWB I would take the G26 all day long. For my body (6’1 180) carrying appendix. I don’t print any more with the G26. I have the options of using a 12, 15 and 17 rnd mags using x-grips with the 15 and 17. I shoot the Glock better than my Hellcat. Happy with both, but first choice goes to G26. The only Glock I own not counting the P80 19 I built for fun.

I am 6’1 and 185, zero problem carrying the G26 IWB appendix, feels the same to me as carrying the M&P Shield. It is fatter, but shorter in the grip. I wear T-shirts all the time and have zero print issues with the G26. I carry a G19 backup mag. I have a P80 17, 19 and 26...the 26 grip on the P80 feels the same to me as OEM Glock.

Will the Sig hold 15,17, and 33rds? And if you had say 100 bad guys coming to blast you and you had the Sig 365 and Glock 26 with one would you grab? Be honest with yourself. And I know that is unlikely but just saying.

Michael Carter P365 maxes at 15 as of right now. That Glock 26 has a hefty companion 33-round magazine. While that’s impractical for carry, it does transition the G26 to a home-defense role better than the SIG.

The grip on the glock for me is a deal breaker look how massive the Glocks grip is compared to the Sig grip also look at where the Sig trigger breaks before the back of the trigger guard l like that much more than all the way to the back of the trigger guard l bought a Sar9 over a Glock 19 or 17 because the grip feels so good in the hand very much like a H&K VP9 other than the cost of the Sar9 was 300 dollars out the door price and l have been more than happy with it with 1000 rounds through it it's reliable accurate and the grip just feels right in the hand unlike Glocks my only complaint with Glock is the grip and it's a big problem for me they have been making this gun since 1988 without much change in the grip like my Walther PPQ Walther P99 Ruger SR9c Sar9 Sar B6c S&W Shield Sig P365 all better than Glock not because they are that much better guns it's because the grip on Glocks suck and they have had plenty of time to update it but for some odd reason refuse to do so no problem l just won't buy one until it is sized down the new ones with interchangeable backstraps for the grip just don't cut it for me much much better alternative options out there usually at better prices

Does Sig p365 is much smaller which means that I have more of a snap with the 9 mm also the magazines are still even though they're 12 shots some of them are 10 shots but the problem is they slip out of your hand the other problem is they're very expensive they're like 50 60 bucks each the Glock 26 the magazines you could grip them they're made out of that special plastic material or so they're only $24.95 each it's a big difference you could get two even three for the price of one but anyway it's not such a great gun they had a lot of problems when they first came out about 2 years ago it is still having problems when I understand they do give you good night sights but that's besides the point you could always put them on your Glock if you want to so the bottom line is just stay with Glock they've been around for a long time and they're not going anywhere
