just a small addition.. I believe everyone should have a good Mediclaim policy, so that our finances are not hit by any mishap which unknowingly and unfortunately occur., so do contribute a small part of your earnings towards Mediclaim premium. rest Well mentioned.. Ankita❤️
I have seen soo many cases where a husband passes away and the wife is left completely lost with what to do regarding finances. It is important for everyone to be equally involved in all aspects of a families finances. Even if you don't earn a salary, be involved in creating a budget and managing your monthly finaces, understand the policies you and your family are invested in. Understand how to do your taxes. Understand your long term financial goals. Financial independence and accountability are equally important for a women.
Really good to see such topics from you Ankita ! Personally I also try to save 20% of what I earn ..but one tip I would like to share which has helped me great deal is when you like something .. give it 1 month of time. If it still lingers in your mind after a month and you feel the need to have it .. then go for it . This method has tremendously helped me cut down on a lot of frugal expenses . Also cutting down on social media occasionally has helped a lot too.
Ankita, this advice is gold for young women, specially as it comes from someone they like and trust. If you want to have freedom in your choices and lifestyle, you need to have your own income. Just like men needbto accept our individuality, women need to take responsibility for themselves. 😃

It was a wonderful video. No many people talk about the topics you raise. We are 4 sisters and our parents have always insisted that we become financially independent and responsible. I think it is very important that women know how to manage the finances, pay the bills and taxes and how to claim insurance. They should know basic banking like how to open a savings account, how to withdraw or deposit money, what's a FD or a PPF etc. These small things are mostly done by the male members of the family and if or when the need arises, women are often clueless about it.

I need your help I'm stuck in a situation where i want to work after marriage but my boyfriend said i won't let you work after marriage because I'm capable enough for taking care of you and your needs but the problem is he never told me in past 3 years that he doesn't want me to work and when we're planning our wedding he's dominating me and making me feel small in front of him, it's very clear that i won't be able to sit home all day without doing anything🙁
I really liked this content very apt at this point of time as u said I never track my online shopping and they amount to quite a bit of my salary but since I do it little little and over multiple sites it's easier to give them a miss ... I will try that short period of frugality again it's really helpfull I remember I use to do it when I had just joined my first job in order to atone for all the unnecessary purchases that I made and also to make savings for my 80c

Ever so often we have been driven by fear when it comes to savings. Especially if one belongs to a lower middle class family. And living from paycheck to is not something that I want to do in life. It was a very useful video. All the points u discussed are very relevant. Where I come from, women in general r expected to balance both household and earn money as well. But since, many new families r living in the nuclear family system, women have a lot of freedom where they can run their household as per their norms. Many years ago, when my dad lost his job it was my mom's job which helped us to continue our education etc. Mom was a teacher. And my mom is retired now and earns pension. My dad passed away a few yrs back but my mom is still financially independent coz of the pension she gets and she is not dependent on any of her children. Personally, i worked for 7 years. Then I quit my job after having my first baby. Then I was planning for a career change, but second baby happened 4 yrs later. Now I'm self employed with a small business. Once my 2nd one is bigger, i plan to get back to work. Also investing in some skill upgradation at this time to prepare myself for the job market.
