    I bought a 2015 Versys 1000 in October 2016 and absolutely love it
    It’s still a mystery to me as to why the American market did not embrace this bike
    Great review brother

      We actually started our Versys journey on a 2015. We loved that Orange color scheme. We put 35K on that bike before moving on to the 2019. Power rules here in America for adventure bikes that do not go off road. I love the Versys and I know more people would like them if they took the time to ride the bike. Thanks for watching! Have a great weekend and be safe!

      Most of us Americans buy bikes for the same reason they buy big trucks and shiny things. I love my 19' V1K.

    Picked up a 2019 Versys 1000 over Christmas. Had under 4000 miles on it. Like you, my wife and I ride 2 up 95% of the time. Love this bike. It is a sexy beast. We also have a 2021 V-Strom 650 we have over 10k mils on. Both are amazing bikes! Wife does like the bigger seat on the Versys and laughs at high revs when the seat tickles her butt! LOL.
    Great review, we plan on catching up on those miles! Thanks!

    Thanks for all of the thoughtful commentary! You sold me! I just traded my V-Strom for a new Versys. They should send you a commission check 😁
    A couple of questions.
    1. Did you adhere to the manufacturer recommended spark plug change at 7,500 miles? That seems a bit extreme.
    2. Was there ever any balancing required on the throttle bodies? It has been a lot of years since I hooked up vacuum gauges to synch carbs.
    Thanks again for sharing all of your experiences!

      @jerryandjamie2up  2 года назад +1

      I should get a commission as you are not the first to say that the little review helped. haha. I am still waiting, have not heard from Kawasaki. Yes on Question #1 but did not need to.
      Question #2?? NOPE fuel injected.. not messing with all that haha
      Have a great week and ride safe!

    I just tripped 20k on mine.. only had it about a year and a half. So far so good. Still wish it had more HP. I think the cruise control needs work. Is your top case a kawasaki case? looks like it. I need to get one. I put on a set of T-rex racing engine guards and made some forged carbon fiber windscreen brackets. good video. Where at in Arkansas do you normally ride? I'm down in East TX. Made a Mt. Magazine trip 2 weeks ago. Loved it.

    I'd really like to know how well i handles 2 up on dirt & gravel roads...not necessarily trails. I have a kawasaki Concours 14...so I don't need a sport touring bike. I'm looking for something that I can use 2 up to explore off paved roads but not planning to run on trails.

    Hello again from Ohio. Got a question about my versys 1000 2019. I'm leaving Saturday fot a 4000 mile road from Ohio to Moab... Pikes Peak Colorado 50 to rout 92 and many other iconic roads. My question is my versys only has a 1000 miles and I just switched to full synthetic oil. Should I do an oil.change mid trip or just complete the trip. Thanks ohiobackroads.

    A+ review, thank you good sir. Does the cruise control work at a low speed say 35 to 45 mph? I’m 6’1” about your height, at what higher freeway speed do you feel wind buffeting? Have you considered a taller or wider windshield for more wind protection? If you’re riding solo, without a passenger, at higher freeway speeds, does the top box cause any stability issues? Thank you in advance, I’m riding a 2017 Africa twin and I’m looking for better freeway wind protection and on-road comfort since Im no longer riding the AT off-road (it’s too heavy off road). Happy Trails.

    • @jerryandjamie2up
      @jerryandjamie2up  2 года назад +3

      Thank you for watching! I have never tried using the cruise at those lower speeds. To be honest I have used the cruise 5-6 times in the 20K miles. Not a huge feature for me, but it does work well at higher speeds. I did get some buffeting until I purchased the VStream screen - ruclips.net/video/t0nJOM6pnq8/видео.html
      I have not had any issues with the top case on the 19 at higher speeds riding solo. I did have some major scares riding solo with a top case on my 2015, but not with the 2019. The big Versys is a great sport touring machine. I think you will be very satisfied. I have a KTM 390 Adventure for my off-road adventures. Have a great day. Ride safe!

    Sir tnx for the reviews. I'm planning to buy versys 1000. But my concerns are, no.1 I'm only 5'8".. is the bike to tall for me esp. On two up ride. And no.2 my wife she is short, 4'10" will she be comfortable riding. And if the top box padding, is it comfortable enough as a backrest.. tnx.. hopefully u can give me some insights. I currently have rebel 1100.. I bought it for myself, never thought my wife would love riding too 😀 now been doing research on RUclips, saw ur channel that u own versys and u ride two up with your wife. Very nice contents n videos u have. Keep posting videos. Have a safe ride and God Bless

    • @jerryandjamie2up
      @jerryandjamie2up  2 года назад +1

      Thank you for watching. The bike is tall and you will need to be careful when finding spots to park the Big V. My wife says that the pillion seat is the most comfortable seat she has ever ridden on. The pad on the Kawasaki OEM top case works well with her and she is very happy with it. I think you will love the Versys. Just take your time getting used to the power and handling of the machine. Practice riding with your wife in areas with little traffic until you both get used to it. I am sure you all will have a great time on the Versys. Ride Safe

    • @jerryandjamie2up
      @jerryandjamie2up  2 года назад +2

      @@NoShadowOfDoubt1 I do keep it on the tighter side of things, and I change the chain and sprockets every 20K no matter what. I also lube my chain religiously. I am not a huge fan of the quick shifter. I use it when getting on it in terms of rpms but usually don't use it in lower gears. I have ridden a number of bikes with quick shifters and they all seem to have some character flaws from time to time. haha. The QS on the Versys is so mushy...
