- In this non-spoiler build, we take a look at a build centered around Ancient Dragon Cult incantations and everything lightning related. This build is massively boosted by the new Armor set from the DLC!
LOCATIONS
Death Knight Set: Darklight Catacombs, south Scadu Altus
Gravel Stone seal: Capital. Dropped by Leyndell Knight near Fortified Manor.
Erdtree Seal: Volcano manor, Prison town church
Radagon Icon: Raya Lucaria Academy, turn right outside Debate Parlor grace
Flock's Canvas Talisman: Drops from Gowry after you kill him, only after Millicent's death
Old Lord's Talisman: Crumbling Farum Azula, Dragon Temple Rooftop
Death Knight Longhaft Axe: Scorpion River Catacombs, north DLC area
Rolling Stone Ash of War: southeast of Shadow Keep
Lightning Perfume bottle: northeast of Cerulean Coast Grace
Knight's Lightning Spear: Scorpion River Catacombs

Update: Knight's Lightning Spear also is boosted by this setup, if you have found it. The incantation is found in the Scorpion River Catacombs. However, it costs more FP than the regular lightning spear so it is not as spammable as the regular Lightning Spear.
Update 2: The Rolling stone ash of war on the perfume bottle has now been nerfed. I would no longer recommend it.
You can also use Ancient Dragon Florissax as a summon as she has a weapon that lowers lightning damage negation. If you want to use a different summon, you can just meet the base stats of Flowerstone Gavel and use the ash of war to lower the enemies defenses before spamming lighting damage.
This build looks awesome, still a long way from the DLC but I think i know what build I'll be going with

i m also doing a knight's lightning spear + the big red lightning aoe one for big bosses for the multihits build with the death knight set, dragon cult seal and godfrey icon/flock canvas/2h sword talisman and alexander shard with the long shaft deathknight axe.
its crazy strong and very fun. gvow/regen incant + the elemental resist incants if/when needed (flame grant me strength less value cause its not a fire build but you can use it instead if you want).

Its the Rivermouth cave, near Temple town ruins in the north.
Placidasax ruins is also partial lightning damage if you want dragon breath in your build an for lightning damage on your weapons scales with dex im definitely building it ty for the build
Yes, Placidusax breath does lightning dmg but the point of this whole build is to boost all Ancient Dragon Lightning Cult spells from the armor set.
@rohvertv yeah I get it man aint tryin to argue with people bro I was just sayin for people who want a little more lightning damage with weapons an another spell for versatility brother that's all I was sayin man like I said I'm building the build rn 💯

Why don't you use the new knight's lighting spear incantation? Is a direct upgrade from the lighting spear.
is the spell can get the benefit from death knight set?
@jackasad2180 Yes. Is a dragon cult incantation, which is the new one. There are videos about it.
@@andypina4478 Yes, but it costs more FP and a lot of the times the bolts get stuck in walls or tight spaces. You can try that out if you like, it also gets boosted by the set.
I've been using the poleblade bleed build but i REALLY REALLY want to try this. I don't want to be a full on mage. I want to be able to clap cheeks with a weapon and rain down hell from above lol
Yup, this is why we got the large axe. Rain thunder upon them all!

They say 2 gravel stone seals are better than erd tree + gravel stone. That true?
For dragon cult incantations? Not sure, probably not. The Erdtree has much better scaling than any other seal. Its why I am using it to case while having the gravel on the other hand to get the passive bonus.
You get a 15% boost to dragon cult incantation with the gravel stone seal. If you use two, they stack so you end up getting 32% boost. I think this outperforms the erdtree seal scaling.
@@mjfolkerts if you are NG+ or get another gavel seal from a friend, that is the way to go.
Y not use two erd seals if the boost is stronger than the gravel
sure, if you are NG+ and have two
2 erd seals do not give additional boosts to cult incants like 2 gravel seal does.
The erd seal here is only because it has higher incant scaling.
Whereas the gravel seal, just by having it in your other hand, boosts cult incants by 15%

5% more at cost of your defense
