well i admire the 3ds max and prefer 3ds max but most of the time companies required a fastest work which can present and done by easily with help of sketch up but 3ds Max really a good option for professional designer , because i'm not good in sketch up and it's plugins that's why i loved to work in 3ds max and used to it

As an architect who used both sketchup 3dsmax rhino renvit arhicad, it is assumed that the sketchup and cad combination can produce drawings other than modeling only for CG. I think this is because the revit archicad requires more time than the cad to create drawings used in the actual construction site. This is only the idea of a practitioner, and it is a part where thoughts and environments can be different.

@@vinay97579 I don't know about Corona Renderer because I've only used it for testing, but I think Vray is the best in terms of quality. The latest version of Vray also renders faster. I think Lumion specializes in video. I don't think the still cuts are as good as Vray's.

see, it depends on industry. If you are in Interiors making things like Kitchen Wardrobes etc you need to learn Sketchup. if you are in modeling, animation or some complex architectural designs you need 3dsmax. but majority of companies recommending to learn both.

I'm 100% agree with you dude, 3Ds is better in modelling and rendering. But it's only better for me now when i have a stable job, a decent PC then i switch from SU to 3Ds. When i was a student, i had no choice but to use Sketchup because of my PC. Imho: nothing is better than other, we just use what suit us for the moment we use it :D

3d max move and rotate tool is worse compared to Sketchup.. When you move, it just slides and drags everywhere so randomly you cant even type a given value. In sketchup, if you stop pressing the mouse scroller to type some fixed value in measurement box while move tool is active..evrything works smoothly.. it will give you spacing and distances you need.. you can even multiply and divide objects with fixed spacing you need.. In max, you need more buttons to accomplish a basic job other cad software can do.. Newer 3ds max has array and spacing tool but it is useless to use for windows with different distances...

Before even rendering or presenting a building, an architect should know how to design it. If I were an architecture student, I would spend my time and money learning a real design software as Revit or Archicad.

and so. dear colleagues!...no serious Architect will use any Sketchap in his office. 3ds Max is also not a design program, but possibly a visualization and rendering program...End. Period!... yes, Sketchap can be of some help, but it's not a major design program. and for this purpose - ACad - Architektur, Revit or Archicad are used. BUT!! BUT!! - Sketchap is a great program, I think #1 in the world, for creating various 2/3D plans, such as apartment plan, garage plan, garden plan, (already existing!!) creating architectural ideas, initial plans, etc. plus This is the program and I use it for this purpose. On the other hand, 3ds Max is not a program for any design .... it is a 3d program for programmers and creating various games (e.g.: Witcher), film studios, advertising studios (here it is most used), for architectural visualizations, or simply for lovers and fans of this program (for a lot of money)....who likes to create in 3d Max (or free BLENDER) has unlimited possibilities in 3ds Max. greetings to everyone from Austria. 🙂🙃🙂
