- Another person I know just told me his story of how he lost his prized Rolex because of a break and entry to his home.
If you're watching this you probably love watches and whether you have one or many , you probably keep some, or maybe all your watches at home.
And you probably can't help but worry about the possible risk of theft and wonder if there is more you could be doing to help keep your safe at home for extra Peace of mind
There's plenty to think about when it comes to storing your watches at home.
And I've got a few tips and ideas i'd like to share on how to store your watches safely at home.
CAMERA: amzn.to/3BB4Xqm
My fav camera 🥰. A love of my life. My third child (I only have two human children).
There can only be one choice. This is a middleweight camera. I loved the smaller brother (M50) and I have no interest in rolling with the big boys and their cameras. So for me - this is the one!
"Canon EOS R" amzn.to/3BB4Xqm
LENS for Canon EOS R: amzn.to/3sOTYFK
My fav One-and-done Lens 🥰
I have several but if I had to just take ONE lens with me - it would be this.
It is AWESOME.
Canon RF 35mm f/1.8 Macro IS STM Lens - Wide angle lens. Ideal for product, portrait and street photography. How can you argue with that!!!! amzn.to/3sOTYFK
2ND CAMERA: amzn.to/3h0Br43
If the Canon EOS r is a bit out of reach, then my camera before this was the Canon M50.
An awesome, affordable camera that punches well above its weight.
I LOVE this camera 🥰 amzn.to/3h0Br43
CAMERA TRIPOD: amzn.to/3JLiDlM
You must have a good tripod. Dont skimp here...

Great for your desk, your bedside table, your shower room.
I have several dotted around the place. Excellent for photography or - just putting on and staring at your watch.

WATCH STORAGE BOX: amzn.to/3JMM1bf
With around a gazillion watch boxes to choose from, there is just ONE that stands out for me.
The one that is 1) most useful 2) looks the coolest 3) practical 4) Excellent quality
Check out this watch box from Holmes & Hadfield

Hide it in the washing machine that way you won't need a watch winder😎😁🤣
Ha! 😝
Lol excellent!
Great advice, thank you.
I store my watches in a secret compartment disguised as a power socket. Couple of quid off eBay. Sorted.
Good
For top hiding places within your home and essentially in plain sight that they’ll be overlooked, consider the following places;
- Pull out the bottom drawer of any dresser, wardrobe, entertainment centre, etc. When you pull the drawer out you’ll notice to get it out completely, you’ll have to move the drawer up with your hands which will release it from its slide or track. At this point depending on the dresser, cabinet, etc. you’ll notice a fairly large area between the bottom of that drawer and your floor, with a good depth to store watches or several other things.
- Another option is false bottoms, usually added or built into an end table, coffee table, kitchen drawer, etc. These can be simplistic and will definitely do the trick, or you can have very sophisticated ones that you can buy or have built into a piece of furniture. (Or if you’re handy enough, checkout several of the videos on here). But for a very simplistic false bottom drawer (ideally in the kitchen as it’s not a place looked to for high end valuables), remove the drawer and you want to take your measurements of the drawer. Cut a piece of 1/4” plywood to the size of your drawer, and then cut four pieces of scrap wood or even out of the plywood at a few inches in length.
With these smaller pieces you’re going to measure up 1-1/2” to 2” from the bottom of the drawer and glue in the small pieces you cut on all four sides creating rails or a base for the piece of plywood you cut to sit on creating the false bottom of your drawer. After you’ve let the rails dry, you can either install a magnet on the underside of the plywood you cut for the new bottom, or you can drill a very small hole in one of the back corners…either will work but the magnet is even more discreet. Put in your watches or passports, etc. and place the new false bottom into the drawer making it look like a normal drawer…to open it you have two ways, a magnet over the spot where you glued the magnet on the underside, or if you drilled a hole you can use an Allen Key or anything small enough but with a hook or 90 degree shape like the Allen Key to slide into the hole and lift up!…once done, place items into the drawer that are of no use, odds and ends, but makes the drawer look used.
Very simple, easy to make, very high chance it will never be noticed in a robbery as they’re not interested in a kitchen or see that nothing to take is in the drawer, ultimately giving you a safe and secure place to hide your valuable watches!
Brendan, that’s fantastic. Thanks so much for taking the time to share this. Good man! 🙏🏻
Thanks Brendan
I’m in a pub now and the local thieves are next to me looking at your comment
Thanks for giving it away
At prestige watch
Tell us something we don’t know buddy
@@alimuzhussain8394 I was expecting at least one comment from someone like you, being ignorant and saying now everyone knows…what I posted is no different than having a safe, and someone telling you where to purchase one.
Although if you’re sitting that close to the thieves at the pub that they can read your phone, maybe you need some lessons on situational awareness and how to assess your surroundings…or just give them your address and keys if you feel so compromised.
@brendan88 - I think the silly comment was aimed in my direction, not yours.
So please keep on contributing and adding value as you have and did.
All the best. Marcelo
I really miss the "lets talk about it" intros 😅. "People ask me how can i store my watches more securely at home? Lets talk about it". Great video as always
😂 Thanks Josh.
Great vid! Can you imagine buying a Rolex though, and storing it in a fake can of beans 😂😂😂😂
😂
Dont post pictures of your watches on social media.
Great video! So therefore by not telling your wife/girlfriend the whereabouts of the watches? Should you have a mass intrusion and they try to get her to confess it’s best she doesn’t know?
Would that not lead to continuing torture?
Hey Don. Thanks for the comment. Tough answer! I guess it depends on what hierarchy of horribleness the intruder is. If they have any soul and they merely use the hostage for effect, things might end up OK. If we are talking Pablo Escobar or Freddy Krueger levels of naughtiness, the wife/girlfriend might be in for a rough night and lets hope there is a panic button somewhere in the house to alert for help.
Or death, I think he is worried she’d do a runner. That’s why my total watch value is greater than my man’s lol
When you get home from the pub, just off to the bank to box my watch!
I'm going to Target to browse their collection of decoy watches.
When you going to do a live stream with Paul Thorpe? Your Chanel will grow faster if you do some Colabs 👍
Yeh! Tea & Tickers would add subscribers too 😀
Thanks mate! Let’s see…. Enjoy what’s left of your Sunday
You and Paul Thorpe would be the perfect collab!!
@@BrittPearceWatches Thanks Grings. By the way, I really loved your Watches & NFT vid. Really well done 👍🏼
@@Rckhlld1 that’s guys a wanker
I put mine in a bank safe in Switzerland.
Wouldn’t it be easy for a burglar to search titles like this and find out how people are hiding things 😅
Also remember to leave has your address so we can keep an eye on your house in case there's any strangers roaming about obviously I'm just kidding but it wouldn't hurt to have a neighbor to that you trust keeping an eye find your place when you're away and in my personal opinion nothing beats a dog
Get really noisy and fierce dogs in your house.
9:40 Don't worry, my wife has no idea what I've got 😂 But what if the intruder has watched Marathon Man and keeps asking the wife "where's the safe?" (see what I did there).
I see what you did; you used torture and Nazis to make a joke. You must be some kind of person.
bro good video but background music sucks 😅
I agree 😅
Interesting but we could do without the distracting music !!
Yes. Agreed. Looking back I don’t know why I put background music. I won’t in the future. Totally unnecessary. 👍🏼
All common sense
Maybes it’s best not to tell her anything then!
All common sense.
My advice is buy a Rolex, BUT never wear it. Store it at the bank, and bore the shit out of everyone you meet, telling them that you own an amazing watch, but it's too amazing to ever wear.
☺️
The background music is so irritating. I like the content but won’t return
I know! It even annoys me. I wont make that same mistake again and I wish I could go back and remove it.
Keep them in your freezer
Exterior lights = courtesy lights for robbers. Lighting makes it easier for theives to see what they are doing. Exterior lighting is useless if there is no one watching your house.
Nope a darkened house is more tempting.
