@@antonyedward8844 Sir if Jesus gives you happiness, follow him. We Hindus don't believe in conversion. We also don't have any procedure of conversion. Hinduism is just a correct way of a living. You have a very shallow knowledge of Karma. Karma is not limited to sins and punishment. There is no point in debating. We believe in live and let live. We don't follow a policy of being untolerant towards other religion. In Hinduism we have सर्वधर्म समभाव - equal respect to equal religion and being tolerant towards them. My only point is that the woman has no knowledge of Hinduism.

The thief on the cross had no opportunity to live out the fullness of his faith over a lifetime. But the grace was given to him was both transformational and sufficient for where he was -- obviously. Our whole life in Christ is a "marriage" -- which doesn't just stop on the day we say "I Do", but involves the total reorientation and ongoing commitment of our lives towards "the other". Our works are done IN and THROUGH Christ, not apart from him. Just as the Catechism says: "Justification has been merited for us by the Passion of Christ who offered himself on the cross." We don't earn our salvation. Our "works", and our sacraments are the consummation of of our marriage to Christ. They flow out from it. No different from how the Church has always taught from the beginning.

You don’t go looking for something to “liberate you”. Her understanding of karma is skewed, karma is a cycle of life. There are ways to deal with karma. You could either fight it or accept it. Choice is yours but, none can escape the inevitable. Good or bad deeds will definitely reflect on your soul. You can choose to remain pleasant in all of the pain. That is the true power of meditation. There is a fundamental screw up in her understanding of religion as compared to that of Hinduism. SAD
