when comparing this old Arrow to a modern B&M hyper both have their own thrills. New B&Ms have really awesome first drops where as Magnums first drop was just OK. However Magnums airtime hills puts any modern B&M airtime hills into the dust! B&Ms floater air hills are fun and all but Magnums intense ejector air hills are sooo epic and super thrilling!! Now imagine combining the two O.O
Looking over the top of the hill were the water park now sits and seeing grass and trees in this video is kinda surreal. I wasn't even born yet when this opened
2 hr, 57 min wait on opening day 1989 (front seat), but we got on it. The weather sucked; it was cold and icky. Somebody answer this: it was advertised at 201 feet (here and by the architect during construction). When did it grow 4 feet? 🧐
I think Magnum could beat Millenium with the right updates. The big issue with Magnum is its rough now. If it was as smooth as is was originally Id ride it over Millennium in 2023
I just noticed that I'm in this video. I'm the kid sitting next to the guy in the suit at 9 seconds. I also remember that it was freezing cold. LOL!
You're legendary!! You still ride Magnum?
God if I could just go back to 1989 😢
me too :(

I love how you can hear the old upstop pads right at the end, before they replaced them with wheels.
Still wild they didn’t use wheels on a 200 foot tall hyper w crazy airtime
"It will be awhile until somebody tries to top this ride." lol
@@ImVee10 what the hell you talking about
@@vincentferrante8238 10 years later also there was other 200 foot tall coasters that came right after magnum, not just 300 foot tall
But 11 years later there would be 2 300 foot coasters.

This one always beats me the hell up every time I ride it. It's a classic and one that I ride every time, but it gives me neck pain.
Still pretty good in 2022. Those smaller hills at the end are kind of evil with the roughness, tho.
It’s crazy how many times the world records have been squashed and far exceeded since this Coster was opened.
the magnum xl200 was pretty fun. not as fun as millennium force or the newer rides but this ride is still awesome and it still one of fan favorites.
I prefer this over Millie.
Dude wore a suit and tie to ride Magnum 😂

When they opened the ride they never accounted for the height of the footers when calculating thr height of the ride.
0:13 rocking a sweet mullet
unless thats a woman oops

Not really that long when steel phantom came by and demolished magnum xl 200
And I wonder who tops it 💀
Was it always a painful ride?
Not even top ten anymore
