  • This is the first episode in a series where I answer your questions!
In this first episode-where the sun sets on me, AGAIN-I discuss my general approach to weight loss and weight gain.
These are both obviously HUGE topics that require several videos of their own, but I do my best to summarize.
Comment more questions for me to answer next week! If you see your question, please upvote it so I can answer questions by demand!

Kulpy Kulptington hey uh, there’s no humane reason to go to bed hungry and fast as long as you can in the morning. That is a recipe for binge eating and creating intense brain fog as your body struggles with basic cell function. You can eat and still lose weight.

The yo yo-ing may not stop until you address your relationship with food. Intentions, knowledge, and action around health goals can all be sabotaged by our emotional eating habits . This may not be a well liked suggestion, but a therapist can help and your insurance may pay for it. With them you can also find a good support system.

Find your balance, you might enjoy a good trail run, HIIT or climbing more than weights.
Strength training though, will have long lasting benefits to your health.
Master your body weight as a first goal, push-pull-hold are the areas where you want to be strong with each muscle group.
Keep up and you’ll see results piling up!!!

should be how you prefer to workout. Technically cardio is the best just due to the heat generated, the Heart rate, and the constant burning of calories.
but i personally found better luck with medium intensity weight/strength training and minor cardio like Walking/jogging and taking stairs at my work(i walk quite a bit)

The thing is that I know that I need a good diet but, the nature of my work (as a producer on a news site) doesn't let me have a good routine of excersise and diet. Most days I don't even have time to eat breakfast (plus, I don't like breakfast that much) Is there a substitute for breakfast?. Is there a way to make a quick 30 min routine or something to lose weight? Btw, your videos are one of the reasons for my motivation to lose weight. I just want to feel healthy for once, you know? I know I’m not HC, but I am in a similar boat. My work schedule changes randomly and it’s long hours. For breakfast, I make a meal replacement shake the night before and keep it in my shaker bottle in the fridge. It makes it thicker overnight as the fiber in it saturates with liquid. :)

I had to get a leg brace after surgery for my knee after an injury and I’ve gained about thirty pounds in the last two years and I finally got the brace off. I did a lot of running before to stay lean and did fasting every day so I looked good before but have put on the pounds is there any excersise I can do that isn’t too hard on the knees to lose fat?

I have a normal diet where I get most nutrients appropriately , I eat some junk food occasionally but I feel very lethargic most of the time. That’s why I can’t get myself to exercise regularly. Is there any particular reason I’m overlooking? Or is it a case of when I start exercising I’ll get into it.

Because of COVID the gym I had a membership in went bankrupt, and the closest one is too far and doesn’t fit my busy schedule, so I’m considering calisthenics as the alternative. Are bodyweight exercises a plausible way to gain muscle mass?

I have a question. I hate doing cardio (running etc), I go out of breath and give up easily. but I don't mind doing this calisthenics excersises which make me feel less exhausted. Am I cheating, or is it possible that I will gain some endurance eventually with just doing this? the same goes for tai chi, can you be fit just with those slow excersises?

Does not getting enough sleep play a part on losing weight? I work out almost everyday and eat healthy for the most part but I stay up at night for the most part. I've noticed weight loss from the past few months and I'm down 20 more pounds but sometimes I wonder if my sleep schedule can cause a problem.

Is there a way to target specific areas for weight loss? Specifically, I’ve put on a lot of weight under my arms (armpit area, weirdly...) and on my stomach (people call it a “pooch”?) I like the way the rest of my body is shaped, but don’t know how to target these ares, or if it’s even possible...
