Great tutorial! I've seen many "Bend it like Beckham" curled free kick tutorials, but this is my favorite! I appreciate how you analyze and break down each motion of his technique. It is very difficult to emulate his technique, but you did a great job with explaining his version of a curled free kick! Most videos simply teach the basics of a curled free kick, but they don't accurately analyze Beckham's personal technique. Great tutorial and I hope to see more from you in the future!

Beckham had many ways of hitting the ball, but his most unique technique created an OPPOSITE spin with a strong nuckle at the end. Typically people slice the ball and it curves left with a ton of spin but no power, as he described here. Beckham would actually punch through the ball with tremendous force and a small drag left, in front of his standing foot. He would also drag his standing foot to follow through with that power. The powerful contact creates a compression in the ball and when it releases it causes the ball the nuckle dramatically. The ball still goes left, but with more power, a sharper turn and it rotates slowly in the opposite direction. See his goal against Greece and other freekicks.

Bend it like Beckham make me chuckle to myself as we were doing it 30 or so years before he was even born! Somehow "bend it like Smith" hadn't the same "ring" to it!
