Would have been interesting showing the walk further up the trail the older cottages along the river it's a beautiful hike following the river one note no dogs allowed in trail😔
I stay here all the time. Last time I was there a tree fell and killed someone in the middle of the night. It was awful. Rain loosened up the soil around the creek.
Love Elkmount... C03 is our favorite spot.. next to the river.
If you get a chance, try Vogel State Park in Georgia... Beautiful place

Thank you. There's a whole bunch of prime river sites. You just gotta book them a bit in advance.
E5 is the best spot imo. I hang my hammock there every chance I get.
