My wife was pregnant when this album came out. We both constantly played it while she was pregnant and after my son was born. When he got older he said "I love this album, but I don't know why". We told him the story, he was amazed and a little freaked out.😂🤘
It's a bit similar to the story of the 1st kid of friends: they dislike german "Schlager"music. So does her daughter. She started trampeling in her mom's belly, when they where exposed to this kinda music. When she was 1 1/2, they where at a friend, listening to it. Rosy walked over and tipped over the loudspeaker. Fun stories! My granddaughter Destiny liked Gossip. She did not like Meat Loaf (Age: 4) "Nana: that is bad music! Turn it off! I'll sing for you!" Priceless!
I agree. He is vocally talented. The way he can manipulate his voice is something I also find impressive. I saw them in concert shortly after this album came out and the show was great! The band were more laid back than I thought they'd be live, but everything musically and vocally was on point👍
There is a live version of ATWA (I think from Australia in 2002), where at one point the camera shows Rammstein side-stage, headbanging to it. I'm certain she'll appreciate it.
Glad you decided finally to react to this song. I loved more your reaction when it finished. For the next reaction, I ll highly recommand Spider. It is one high qualiy song of them as well. Have a goood day

I like to see your expressions when you hear this song, that's exactly how I felt way back when I first heard System of a Down. A co-worker introduced this band to me and she said "You can't help but like them."
One of SOAD’s greatest qualities is you ALWAYS want two more minutes. They really understand how to leave you wanting a little more. And yes, not enough people do the non-singles, please do the whole album. I would suggest Needles, Prison Song, Deer Dance, and Forest… also seeing you react to Pogo would be hilarious.
@@BisscuteReacts I need to correct myself, the song I called Pogo is actually titled Bounce… Serj says pogo a lot in the song and I got used to calling it that when I was younger, didn’t want you looking for it and getting confused
You NEED to do a full album reaction to this whole album. There's a reason this is one of the greatest albums of all time. The music, the style. The truth in his words, and how the subject matter still holds up over 20 years later. You will not be disappointed, and we will watch every. Minute. Of your album review
This album is _old._ Came out in 2001, when I was still in high school. When I went into the military a year later, I actually got the glow-in-the-dark hoodie for this album, and within 7 or 8 years, had to finally admit I wore the hoodie straight out. I loved that thing, lol. Edit: Bisscute, in case you don't know, "Toxicity" is about how political systems end up making societies toxic because they end up becoming apathetic to the people living in the society. And thus, those in power do everything to control and divide the masses. If you want to know how politically active Serj Tomkin really is, listen to "Prison Song." That song has statistics related to the US prison system in it, particularly in the context of the War on Drugs.
@@BisscuteReacts the meaning behind the lyrics is far more terrifying and glorious: Conversion, software versión 7.0 (Today music is used to bring ideas to the people softly/to upload people with knowledge without them realizing it [instead of converting people with violence as in the past] to convert them into good people. 7 is the number of God.) Back in 2001... 👴... we had CD's and no RUclips or streaming on phones. So, we listened to records and each album was a full experience, not just a 3-minute song. If u listen to the album 'Toxicity' by System of a Down, 44 minutes of 14 tracks (officially) and just song after song that gets u hype! Somehow when I hear this and Chop Suey, I think of other songs that we listened to at the time that I'm 100% sure you would like a lot, if you have not already heard them. One is by a band called Incubus and the song is called Megalomaniac. The lyrics are brilliant the build is brilliant it's just a really incredible composition and it's so fun. And then I would also say Let the Bodies Hit the Floor by Drowning Pool and then also Fucking Hostile by Pantera. It would not be uncommon to hear three or four of those in a row. And I also know from a couple of my buddies that fought over in Afghanistan that they also heard those a lot when they were in country. Just something to make them not miss home so much and of course they bring lots of energy.

Hey ❤
