The beautiful instrumentation, harmony and melody of this piece fits Akemi's graceful character so well. I look forward to seeing her hold her own and further develop into a villain as she is now separated from Mizu and Taigen. Amie Doherty really did wonders with this.
akemi was the worsed most selfished self-centered character ever(in temrs of new shows) and i hate how after tryna run away with seki and gets him killed her next thought was nah imma be selfish do things my way and instead of living peacefully like we said just completely contradict that cuz i don't like being told what to do and gonna go a feminist rant and possibly coz more harm then good
Idk if she'll turn into a villan but she will be more hardened than before. Which us a reflection if Mizu softening up a bit. Both women on similar and sometimes intersecting paths that mirror
I'm pretty sure she was going to leave, but the second Taigen took her idea as his own, she had to change her way. She didn't like men controlling her or what she did.@@CouchPotatoe0
Was a really pleasant surprise from Netflix, 1 of the best anime this year. A nicely executed revenge story from the early Edo period of Japan. Every aspects of this anime, including these cool soundtracks are brilliantly well made! :)
I think that represents Akemi's rage and anger. It's very well woven with her more feminine theme, if you must, unlike Mizu, whose entire track feels more on the masculine side
Mizu wanted revenge at the start and at the end. Akemi wanted freedom but learned through experience that she wanted power in order to expand her confines and act upon the world. She does all that as a minor side character.
I seriously can't wait to see where they'll take Akemi's character in season 2, her arc was one of the biggest highlights of the show for me

Genuinely though @Netflix Music is is possible to access the score for this?

@@CouchPotatoe0 the point of her arc flew so far above your head it will never be seen again
2:50 is heavenly. So beautiful.
I agree. I get chills with that transition in Akemi's theme. I would love to this played live by the orchestra and the conductor. 🥰💗
Love this instrumental and this show! Reminds me of Memories of a Geisha soundtrack.
“I want to be great.”

Absolutely gorgeous. I loved Akemi.
1:40 is a very slick beat. You'd expect it more for Mizu than Akemi!

Akemi-sama downright the best written character in this show. She is up there with Mizu. I'd say slightly better than Mizu
agree
No way bro mizu not only has more conflict her fluidness and aura is just way more involved
Mizu wanted revenge at the start and at the end.

@@FutureDeep no one hates a well written side character arc this good.
@@FutureDeepshe’s not a minor supporting character lol she felt like a deuteragonist but at the very least is a major secondary character
Really good soundtrack fr 🔥
Princesse Akemi 😍😍😍😍
This sounds a lot like something from Breath of the Wild. Great soundtrack.
