Yeah it's weird they lable them forward only when you use the reverse output shaft I had to modify the output shaft on my tmaxx I'm hoping my new revo has the proper shaft and no mods needed
What are the benefits of this mod? Obviously durability. But I’ve seen two videos now saying you had to modify the stock parts to make it work, and eliminate reverse. Obviously it improves durability a bit, but also would limit performance. To me it seems like unless you have a Big Block, and a spare transmission, this mod seems I bit useless. It’s definitely cool tho!
@@Troubledboy88 honestly just durability i would say and the simplicity of having the forward only… it is a bit of a pain if you have to mod the shaft. When I was running the 3.3 the transmission held up just fine. Thanks for checking the video out 💀💨
@@rclife420 yea of course. I was looking at these, and if they had the reverse as an option, without any modifying. I’d totally do it, but the only time ive ever blown up a stock transmission was going from full speed and slamming it into reverse! I got the opti-drive on the T-Maxx so now it’s no issue, and also got everything setup to where reverse works flawlessly every time so there’s not much incentive for me. If I build another T-Maxx with a BB and forward only that might be my reason though I guess

Is the metal gear kit also for the tmaxx with the 3.3 transmission?
Yes it is !!
@@rclife420 glad to hear!
@@hpiedsavageed7608 yeah man I believe it’s the same gears for both transmissions
