In order to use the camera you have to run FSX in window mode, right? Are you using "pseudo full screen" and "autohotkey"? Can you please tell me how to do that? I can't figure it out ahah Thanks
Hey jordan, fantastic video! You single handedly made me go out and buy the alpha so bravo! Anywho, when I get into the sim and click the middle mouse wheel, the menu pops up but I am unable to scroll through the options. Is there anything I need to do to get that to work?
Jordan King yea it's definitely enabled. Old prop said it was a "known" issue, with no real definitive solution so I'm just hoping it gets worked out as it is a beta. It's still far and away better than ez Dok.
Mr King: I understand you used a game controller for your views. I just bought an xbox360 wireless controller, but I can't figure out how to get fsx to recognize it. Is there a setup tutorial on this? Perhaps you could produce one. thanks
Hi Steve. You dont need FSX to recognize the Xbox controller, you only need ChasePlane to if you wish to control the views with it. When you plug it in, it should automatically install the drivers needed for it to work. Which version of Windows are you using?
Hi Mr. King: I am running Windows 10 home premium. It was the free upgrade from win7. I bought an xbox360 wireless controller. My wireless receiver came in the mail yesterday. I followed the instructions carefully, but I don't think the receiver is picking up the controller. I held down the the sync button until a single light came on. My device manager shows the receiver installed, and says device is working properly Drivers are also up to date. I went out and bought a wired controller today, and no worries. The only thing is when I pan around with right side joy stick, as soon as I release the stick ,view snaps back to center. Hpw can I change that? Thanks for your input..

In this video its default water on Medium, the reason it looks nice is because of the scenery textures under the water. For the sky, this was EddieSkyPack which is freeware. But now I use ENVTEX
If you are happy with EZDOK, nothing wrong with that. I personally couldnt get the Global Camera to work past P3D 3.2 and considering I make FS Videos, it was very difficult to be pleased. Also, the Xbox controller functionality is really a game changer.
Dean Johnston I tried it, along with a few other fixes on the Flight1 forums, nothing worked for me. My camera would just end up in the middle of the ocean. All the variables and fixes didnt work.

Graphics are looking better and better in the sim. But I would do ANYTHING to have a flight sim in frostbite 3 engine 😌

Yes, this was in P3D but this tool also works in FSX Steam Edition

Make sure under preferences -> camera you enable "Pan and tilt on middle mouse hold"

Do you need to run FSX in windowed mode to get the chase plane menu overlay? Or can you access it in full screen mode also?
