    the pendulum is clicking because they put the little foam rubber pads up too high you can do as i did and carefully peel them off and place them where they need to be usually only the left one needs to be moved. my biggest peeve about it is its the wrong color! how could they get this wrong! it was a dark wood color not bright oak and now its the same dark green with light blue highlights that most everything in the mansion is nowadays check recent pix on line

    I have one of these clocks too and I think they intentionally put the foam pad a bit high. The clock is supposed to make this noise but Disney must have known it would be annoying after a while and put the pad in there for you to move.

    • @bluovalgal
      @bluovalgal  5 лет назад

      @Kurtis Stoddard, we just took a look inside and noticed the pads! Doh!! Out of curiosity, we tried to move the pads, but ours is stuck on good. Does your clock stand evenly? We like the sound of the tocking, but since our clock doesn't stand evenly, it doesn't make any noise. So I had to slip some paper underneath one of the legs to hear the noise.

    • @kdaddy310
      @kdaddy310 5 лет назад +1

      blueovalgal Mine stands evenly. I tried to put paper under one side to see if that would help but it didn’t really.
      Take a blow dryer and hit one of those pads for a couple minutes to warm up the glue. Then just carefully slide a butter knife under the pad and it will come off. Then place it where the pendulum is hitting the wall. Voila

      Yeah I agree. The clock was supposed to make that creepy ticking at least it did in the videogame. I haven't been to Disney in a minute so I can't remember if it made the ticking on the ride.

      @@mulder19x95 There was a videogame??!! We were just there on Saturday, and I can't remember if I heard the ticking or not! (Amazing the things you take for granted and/or ignore!) I want to say the clock does tick tock as you ride past it.

    Can you stop the ticking (odd request just may get one for a shelf in a bedroom)

    • @bluovalgal
      @bluovalgal  5 лет назад

      The ticking is coming from the pendulum hitting each side of the wall as it swings. I slipped a small piece of paper on the inside of the wall where the pendulum would hit, and now the "ticking" noise is gone. So I say "yes!" you can stop the ticking noise but still have the swinging pendulum. :) Our clock is in the living room, and you do get used to it after a while. Thank you for watching the video!

      If you look closely there are to black round bumpers inside the clock around the middle of the the pendulum box on either side. They are there to move down and deaden the sound of the pendulum hitting against the side if so desired.

    How do you turn it on? I cant figure it out

    • @bluovalgal
      @bluovalgal  5 лет назад

      Soundwave3000, carefully take off the back of the clock. Strong magnets are holding it. It takes one AA battery. At least for us, once we put the battery in there, it started to work. I hope this helps you!

      Pull the hands off the clock face, and unscrew the nut, and pull the clock mechanism out the back. Make sure there nothing attached to the pendulum magnet. If you see another nut attached to the magnet, remove it. Should solve your problem
