- Setting up a BilliB grandfather clock is not difficult and this video will show you how. If you are looking at buying a grandfather clock then come and see our range at www.billib.co.uk or even arrange to come and visit our showroom in Bournemouth.
BilliB clocks are constructed with the consumer in mind giving ease and simplicity
Remove the clock from the shipping carton after ensuring all the staples are safely removed to avoid scratching the clock
Open the back or side panels of the clock to see the movement.
Remove the cardboard and or chime rod protectors from around the chime rods; slide the cardboard band down and off the chime rods.
Lift the chime hammer transit bars, (if applicable) which will release the chime hammers or cut the band enabling the hammers to move freely.
Replace the back and or side panels.
Move the clock to its final location, now hang the pendulum.
Hang the weights, making sure the clock is square and level.
Now give the pendulum a good swing, all BilliB clocks will go straight into balance* and start chiming.
*Automatic balance Feature is standard on most BilliB clocks

I have wished for a grandfather clock for more years than I care to admit. I especially love the bonnet top apparently cherry finished clock. I will watch this video whenever I am longing to hear these sounds. Perhaps one day....

So nicely demonstrated.
To restart a clock try the following. Be sure that the chains are pulled straight down and the weights are at or near the top. Do not set the time. Start the pendulum swinging. This may take many tries before the clock will continue to run. Now stop the clock when the time it reads at a time when you can work with it again. Start the pendulum swinging about 15 minutes before what the clock reads. Stay close. It may need to be restarted again. After it is running OK, move the minute hand backward slowly to the correct time. Good luck.

I have a 3 weight driven wall clock. 2 of them have the same weight and the other is more heavy. Which position shall I attach the weights?
The heavy one is to be hung on the right side as you stand in front of it.
The heviest (not sure if said it correctly) weight need to be at the right.
My chains camo of all 3 took the clock apart but can't figure out how to put them on any one help
What if the chains are pulled out of the clock?
You will either have to get them replaced, get an expert, or re - string them yourself
