This reminds me a ton of Betrayal at House on the Hill, it has the gimmick of building out a house one room at a time. This is more of a puzzle game than Betrayal, but when I saw laying out the blueprint tiles and how the chapel door was boarded up I was doing that one DiCaprio pointing meme
I'm convinced that the red prince book, if you take the context of the "red is a lie blue is true" thing, it implies you should look up, and VERY often if possible
Interestingly the memo that says red memos are lies and blue memos are true, is blue meaning it could be truthful or a liar, cause if it's lying then blue is lies and red is true.
In fact I think this might be the case cause the red book says the book the prince reads is in this same room cause it's the red book, we just read. Which is a truth, implying that blue, based on the memo, lies.
So my first comment seems to have gone poof, it was about the memo telling us nothing on its own cause the memo is blue, so according to the statement on it blue memos are truthful and red ones lie, which works if blue memos are truthful, but if the memo is lying it's statement still works since it would imply that blue memos lies.
@@LegoCowManZ Oh yeah just went back to that and saw it at 13:36 - it IS possible to read without the magnifying glass it seems. Below the words "memos = lies", you can see it right under the line, and sure enough; "unless written by hand"
Honestly, I hope when Blue Prince fully releases that there's a video (or even a series!) on it. It's one of the most interesting ideas and I'm so intrigued to see how it's fully adapted.
as someone who has watched a lot of stuff surrounding this game (and without spoiling anything) I have three tips for the coming playthrough 1. You will absolutely want to have some sort of notebook for clues 2. Inspecting the environment is something i highly recommend. 3. Remember to think outside the box
This channel is unironically one of the most effective forms of advertising a game can get. A genuine review and an enthusiastic Tyler has just made me wishlist this. Can't wait to play it myself
Kinda reminds of Betrayal at the House on the Hill, a board game where you and your friends are stuck in a mansion and end up creating the layout of it as you explore
10:31 The Apple calorie count considers the whole apple, while the orange one only considers 100g, which is about half an orange. This means that the average apple and orange have a little over 90 calories. They are, ironically, comparable.
I loooove this game. Every time I watched someone play it I thought it would be right up your alley. I'm glad the devs reached out and you gave it a chance. You've got so much to discover.
He literally explained he was trying to prioritize progression. Storeroom is a dead end, and he didn't yet really understand how rooms connecting worked.
The game seems really fun, it feels like a rogue like puzzle and I don't think this a category very explored so I gotta say I look forward for the next episode and a whole series when the game come out!
I reached the anti chamber on day 4, then stopped playing but there’s so much I never discovered. Went from your notification, to the game, now to your video!
I also managed that, after a couple very lucky finds. I haven't even watched Aliensrock's video, I just saw the description and decided I had to go play myself. There's definitely more to uncover just in the demo, and I have some theories about what's to come in the full game. I'm excited!
I immediately downloaded this after watching this video and now I've spent 20+ hours replaying the demo. THIS is how you advertise indie games. Pages of notes now and a huge hype for the full game.
I love this demo so much and can’t wait for the full release! Like you, I saw about 5 minutes of Gab Smolder’s playthrough and immediately turned the video off and played it myself. The devs have limited the number of days but also the number of save slots you have to keep people from discovering too much before the full release. People on the subreddit say they have made it to the antechamber in the demo but I believe the devs have also hidden certain items and rooms so that they aren’t discovered in the demo. Hopefully the full game will be released soon!
Wild, the creator of this game (or one of the creators) has an historic website where new spoilers of magic the gathering cards are shown. I used the site extensively in the past years, and got to know blue prince since it was sponsored there last year. So happy that it's actually a cool game!
This video made me think they finally released the game. Excited that Tyler's taking a crack at it, but disappointed it still won't come out in a few months.
Looks like out esteemed friend "ZQ" the five guys burger madlass from 2015 can actually make a video game when she's not being a trainwreck or insulting people online lmao. (she's just doing the story though) So yeah, it's basically "Gone Home" (2015) with an actual gameplay, it's been quite a while.
I'm not sure whether I like the game or not. I was intrigued, thus interested, but it seems like you're creating empty rooms with some key/gem/coin in it while I was expecting puzzles.
I've played the demo myself and it takes a bit to get cooking. I'd recommend checking out Tyler's next video as I think he might start to crack the first layer of the onion- based on the clips I saw
Spoilers to playing this game effectively below: . . . . . . . . The higher up north (towards the antechamber) you go, the more doors will be locked. Thus, it is better to start out expanding sideways in the start and prioritise getting keys, followed by rerolls, gems and footsteps. This makes dead ends fine as well, since they usually give a big reward. Once you've got a good amount of keys (at least 4), you can push north. And do the puzzles that move continue in different rooms (like the security and lab) whenever they come up. And use a physical journal. As in, make notes in real life outside of the game (a physical notepad, or just a word document)
What an intriguing game! If you want to play the demo yourself, check it out here: bit.ly/BluePrinceAliensrock

Exactly my thoughts when I saw Icely play this!!!

Blue prince sounds like Blueprints. What a nice cherry on top!
Classic Tyler, choosing Nook over Storeroom. Effectively gaining him 1 key instead of 1 key, 1 gem, and 1 coin.
When did he do that?
@@christophermoore6110 Brother it's the second choice he makes in the video.

Awesome game!! I'm glad you didn't give yourself spoilers!! I really enjoy when you're piecing together the stratagems for new/new-to-you games
Love this demo, walking past the shovel hurt to watch. Can dig those dirt piles up with that.
Can't wait to see more! I played the demo myself a while back and loved it. Glad to see you picked it up, too.
We really need more of this game. It seems awesomr
Very nice, I saw another RUclipsr play the demo 5 months ago I thought that this was definitely a game you would enjoy. Glad to see it here now.
This is very much like the board game "Betrayal at House on the Hill"... Much fun.
This feels like Betrayal at House On The Hill in videogame form and I love that on its face already.
Can not WAIT for the rest of this game. Been looking forward to the release of this game for awhile

its like someone played haunting at house on the hill and then made a video game. very good

i would very much like for this to be a series!
I'm quite curious to see more of this!
Ah yes the “finders keepers” clause, if you have the deed to the property in your possession you own the property
You really never know what to expect on Thursdays here. I love it.
I'm guessing you have to fill the board with 45 rooms before being able to find the 46th
Super interesting game idea, would love to see more of it!
Blue Prince is amazing. Been waiting for the full release!
As a Sinclair, the intro rocked me.
This game looks super interesting! Looking forward to watching you play it more!
This looks kinda like if Betrayal at House on the Hill was a video game and singleplayer.
Blue Prince should have a sandbox mode that lets you freely build out the mansion.
Yes!!! Yes!!! I've been waiting for this! This game is so good!

Of course Tyler’s memorised how many calories an apple and orange give.

This game reminds me a ton of MAZE by Christopher Manson
Well according to an interview with the dev, Christopher Manson actually worked on a small part of the game and Blue Prince is also dedicated to him!
I need this as a series.
