- SG King: The Final Checkmate Part 18 - finally, a good blade run. Do you have any idea how long I’ve waited to get something like this? Hopefully my good luck continues, because I’ve been loving it.

What I’ve learned from this video is that the best weapon in a game titled “Shotgun King” is a sword.
what you should have learned is that you need to get very, very, very lucky to get a blade build going. You need to get 2 of the 2-3 blade cards that exist (so pretty much all of them) to get a build with pretty much only blade damage. Also that if you stream the game to an audience your luck stat increases.
cuz Shotgun King took t for sword's grip and he's now Shogun
But you need to get lucky with blade cards unless you're using the Makeda shotgun, and you can't have dumb antisynergy happen.

Theory: Tyler is just a copy of the real Tyler, who is mass producing Tylers to make videos so Tyler can sit back and relax while his Tylers do all the work for him. Every video is a new Tyler so Tyler doesn’t need to supply the Tylers with any food. Tyler can just let them wither away.

As you could see in the big boss king’s description he can’t attack you diagonally, so you could’ve approached him to blade him that whole time

Yeah using those soul cards frequently can really make a run. Any time you can use a soul card and immediately get one back, it's probably the way to go, especially at the beginning of a round. It's really hard to make that a habit tho, my brain really wants to play it safe, but it's such an advantage

6:35 honestly I think that was a mistake, it actually does not matter how many pieces there are, because you just one shot them all anyways; slowing them down will give you more time to slash them all down, and you could utilize it even more with an extra soul card, moving a bunch without using up turns. Also the other choice gives knockback to the gun, pushing enemies away from the blade, which is not ideal.
Rules were made to be changed, and here you have found one of the rare exceptions to your rule.
Not really. The sheer amount of pieces, especially knights, that attack at a distance is dangerous. Plus, slower pieces means you have to approach them. Sure, you can use souls, but that's still very limited.
@@maxyang3386 I feel like 2 souls+blade makes him able to move and kill a lot, possibly forever, without using a turn. If he uses a soul, blades, uses a soul, blades, on and on, does the enemy ever get their turn?
@@aguyontheinternet8436 Souls are still limited movement; you might be able to wack a lot of pieces every turn but that's still a net negative because you have to hit more pieces. -1 speed sounds great on paper, but it's really not slowing down the pieces that much considering they'll still be clumped together.
I can't believe Tyler didn't see the combo potential of the blade and extra turn from the soul. You can get a free blade kill once a turn, and then whenever you use a soul you take another turn. If you pinball between the pieces that give you a soul when dying you can have an infinite turn slicing and soul moving constantly until there is only pawns left
The extra turn from blade kills is limited to once per turn, so you could theoretically soul to a soul piece, blade for an extra turn, soul to another piece, then blade/shoot that for a maximum of 4 actions a turn.

@@callumswift5341 I don't think extra turns count towards "actual turns", as Tyler put it.

Bishops are holy, not satanic
Visual suggestion: for everytime golden aging happends, the beard will grow longer (if it’s the first time, the beard will ‘start’ growing)
OR
Whenever golden aging happends, the chess piece will look older (pieces breaking off, piece getting a darker shade or accumulating dust, etc)

Pieces you knock back can't kill you, even if they already were checking you and you just move them back once.

Imagine if there was a card that made pawn souls a thing so they take up space if you kill them before replacing your soul

Something not quite that, but close, is Cannon Fodder. It adds pawn souls that you can consume to get +2 firepower I think.
There is a card that does this. It is a black card that allows +2 firepower when a pawn soul is expended.

Here is how to get it:
Have both Theocracy and The Red Book.
In the White King boss fight, before killing the boss, leave exactly one Bishop alive (the amount of other pieces don't matter).

Blade builds are some of the most fun builds on the game and i always end the same way
Going crazy blading everything and dying to a discovery check
Talking about sinergues... This game needs some granede synergies... there's like 2 granade cards and like 3 cards that make granades bad i will love to play a granadier build the closest thing you can do is granade + the plague card and fill the white side with pawns

I cant remember but I feel like the extra turns from soul moves and blade kill refresh each other so you can chain them
From the name (presbiopia is the loss of near sight due to aging of the eye), I guess presbiopia can only appear if you have the aging upgrade
Funny thing is, this build can be even better with the new weapon you unlocked, which gives you +2 blade

Quick tip for the final king boss: he can't attack diagonally, he only hits the eight squares directly next to him
I bought this game after I saw you play it and holy shit it’s hard
5:56 it says that queens cannot take damage… not that they cannot be KILLED.
Assuming blade ignores it, chances are the queen could legit die in a way that doesn’t involve damage since how blade works.

Here’s a change in chess
Beat all the levels while having to eliminate EVERY piece (this includes back ups and so on meaning you have to kill the king last)(yes you have to do it with your shotgun)
The first blade card if you kill an enemy you get another turn down you to use it again if you don't let me get another turn to use it but even if you don't kill them another term but you can't use the blade again
Isn't "Kids with Secret Heir/Air Powers" the plot of Avatar: The Last Airbender?
The dumbest thing you can do in this game is to move to a protected square, you get Game Over that way.

Victoria isn't the gun you want to use blade with. Sure, it has very little ammo, but it has the firepower to oneshot everything except rooks and tight enough arc to consistently deal damage at 2 tiles. Blade builds are better done with Makeda.
