I was not ready for the soundtrack to go so absurdly hard.

Another great production, thank you very much.
Even rocks can say things were a lot easier back in the day, including erosion of earlier layers.

Those mushroom rocks are amazing. Someday they'll all topple. I'm amazed that some of them are still standing.

    Thanks much, my friend.
    Awesome. To see. :)
Looks like it had a lot of backbone. Thanks.

I grew up here. It's a shame what people and the government have done to this place. It used to be a fun place to go and explore in the 70s and early 80s. Now, people are herded through like cattle. I didn't look. Have you done a vid on Palmer park?
    I feel stupid now😂😅😂

Sounds are awesome as well. There's a place near Manitou Springs called Red Rock Open Space whick is kind of like the other side of Garden of the Gods. When I was there a few years ago that big quarry was full of thousands of goldfish.

Oh WOW. I thought I knew the Garden of the Gods, but you have shown me how much I don't know. Please add a map to direct us to the Mushroom Garden, the Little Balanced Rock, the Lost Restroom, and the other fabulous finds you made. Or tell us where we can get a map of these lost relics locations.

I became curious about the lost rocks after seeing an old postcard from Mushroom Park on Ebay. Most of that area has since by covered over by brush and trees, but they're all still there. To find Mushroom Park (which is very close to Balanced Rock) do a little exploring on the dirt road just above it (Rampart Road). You should be able to find the entrance fairly easily.

Lovely shots of melted buildings with the unmelted metal artifacts embedded in them!

Would be nice if maybe you provided what appears to be first name or abbreviation like Wll. with last name Ketner and date 1731 which would allow us to look too

Unfortunately I dont know what his first name was. But supposedly there's either an initial or full name next to the year. There are so many carvings inside and out that it would be difficult to find.

I had to mute the vid, very annoying sound track. It was a better park when I was there in the 60's.

I'm 72 years now When we were teenagers myself a friend would go to a small opening a couple of miles down a steep hillside behind cave of the winds Very hard to find We knew it as Hukies Cove at least that's what we called it Once you squeezed past the opening IT WAS INCREDIBLE it had many many huge rooms to keep going you had to squeeze through the stove pipe This was well into the cave by now I don't think a grown adult could make it Anyway that led into more rooms We figured it was another part of Cave of the Winds. If you did not have a flashlight you could not see your hand in front of you're face. We thought Indians brought people in and left them to die..Come to think of it we never found any bones HA. You would never find you're way out and fall to your death without light. ANYONE else out there remember this. I know it's been sealed up now probably in the late 1970's or early 80's

Very interesting. I know the originally entrance for Cave of the Winds was down in Williams Canyon. They had to blow open the one they're using now. You can still hike down near the original entrance if you sign a waiver with Cave of the Winds. There are some hard to get to cave openings still visible down there.
