It "probably" would have hit the stumps in fairness to Bucknor, but no way could he be "sure". That said, serves the batsman right. He's got bat in his hands, use it! I used to umpire park level cricket. This guy's gone for a glance down leg side, and as far as I saw missed it by as much as Flintoff did his. But there was a noticeable noise. Not surprisingly the fielding side went up and I said not out. Which they weren't happy about. But I was sure he didn't hit it and the noise wasn't woody. Found out later it was the rubber grip on his bat that he had rolled down unrolling and popping back into place with a snap. The fella ended up making a ton, too his first every, so he was pretty happy.

    10. Difficult one for the umpire as Yuvraj's wrist action implied that he missed it, and it went quickly and there was a lot of noise. Probably should have been called correctly, but not a horrible miss. Sympathy for the batsman because this wasn't a lucky edge, he genuinely hit it.
    9. Prior to DRS giving something like this not out was completely unremarkable. Big step forward by the batsman. The ball hit the pad very shortly after coming off the pitch. Very hard to be confident on where the ball was going. Umpires are better trained these days.
    8. These are classically difficult and controversial to call. The English players genuinely thought it was an edge. However the umpire had a good view of it, much better than the umpire at square leg. He should have a better feel for it than he did, and I would have to rate the decision as poor.
    7. Very poor decision. Unsure why the umpire thought this was not out. Perhaps he thought it off the pad.
    6. Shocking decision. Pitched way outside leg stump, and probably wasn't going to hit the wickets.
    5. Complete shocker. The umpire got penalised for this one.
    4. Brain fart. Even if it hadn't hit is legs, it's gone between them, and if he hadn't moved his legs it would have hit them.
    3. Terrible decision. Clearly no where near the ball, and the batsman didn't even really play at it. Even if there was a sound it's still not remotely acceptable.
    2. Needs to be assessed in the context of the play. If the batsman had been consistently doing that by blocking the ball with his pads and not playing a shot then the umpire is quite right to give one of them out. Even if it was a one off block with the pads it wasn't a terrible decision, though probably not a good one, but then again it might have been a good one as it is difficult to assess from the video whether or not the ball would hit the stumps. Pre DRS bowlers were often given the benefit of the doubt when batsmen were padding up this way. Zero sympathy for the batsman, completely unethical play. This is not a decision that an umpire should receive too much criticism over.
    1. Complete shocker. Even the Pakistani players seem stunned.

You give me ball tracking on number 2 (Warne, LBW, WI player not offering a shot) and it's hitting the stumps. Doesnt have to be in line if he's just padding it away. Can see why Bucknor gave that one out.

some of them are so clearly not out that its"suspicous"and as such match fixing comes into the equation the 4 wides were leg byes number 2 is the only one out of the 10 that i'm not sure about his first leg was obviously well wide of the stumps(when the ball having not made contact with the bat in any way whatsoever)hit it.but the ball then went off his shoe(that was well wide of the stumps)and across and onto his other leg which was placed almost in front of the stumps because of the somewhat complex nature of the incident it should have been looked by a third umpire if they can do it with lbw decisons then they can do it with this.......
