In this Video I have ordered a wireless doorbell so I can see who is at the door when I'm busy in the workshop.. it was only £20 from wish.. let's get it set up and see if it's any good..

Wow, looks like a good investment especially to Riley Boy Safe as well as the Mrs. Very reasonably priced and the thing has very good distance to it. I may try to pick one of these up for us old folks. Thanks for the instruction and information. Stay safe.

this was so helpful, n let me tell you, I have received the doorbell only, without the extra bits that will ensure it is going to work. So that's where I need to go now. They really are very naughty to not supply this additional information. Thank you am now more aware of what I need to purchase to get all the benefits of using this device.

Excellent Mick. I had a V5 doorbell camera months ago and I wanted a second doorbell camera for our back door and I can't use two V5 doorbell cameras on my app so I've just ordered the M10 and use two separate apps. Great video buddy.

Where did you get the batteries from?
Loved this! Very endearing. Any updates? Wondering about battery life. Does my phone have to be connected to the WiFi network or can it use cell data? Does it automatically take pics with movement?

Got 1 of these, it works with 1 battery! As soon as i started putting the 2nd 1, it started smoking i took it out and managed to use it with 1, don't know how long it will last though

not sure if you've sorted this or not, but in the camera settings in the app there's an option to change orientation. just press on the video feed, settings at the bottom right and it should be in there.
I bought 6 months ago and finally for a novice like me set it up. Its brill! Just a pice of advice. I mounted mine above 50mm. Is that OK or should put it at 42mm?
I live alone and lately worried about my safety and it works perfectly.

Mick, did you ever suss out how to run this from a power supply? I'm assuming the two terminals on the back are for that but no indication what voltage. I have same model.
Hi.. not I have just left it as is
@@themowerman Eureka - been meddling! Opened it up (six screws) then 4 on the main board inside. It DOES actually have a micro usb socket (5v) on the main board inside the case but no way to get to it from outside - unless you made hole in case and then water would get in. Plugged in usb lead and it fired up. I would say those two terminals also require 5v supply - will do more testing as it would save swapping batteries every few months. Will report back....
Also has micro SD fitted to board
@@thefactory5010 Fairly sure its for an AC supply. Suspect its 16v in common with the RING version. :)
@@vwthings Sure is. Bought an AC power supply rated at 18v (unloaded 21v) suitable for a RING doorbell and now runs without batteries. Will test to see if its independent or whether it will charge batteries so theres a backup in case of mains failure.
Not bad for £20. The Ring ones are a bit expensive.

@@duMaurier15 ha thanks, but it was pretty easy. Just removed the old doorbell and I used the existing wires and wrapped it around the two back screws that were on the doorbell. Kept the batteries in, and batteries are charging at the same time the doorbell is hard wired.
@@shanda2600 I havent ordered the device yet but the two back screws are made for electricity/power? Do you know if other video door bell all have this (back screw)?

Yeah probably 2.4 ghz.. Whicher product you are interested in, it will say what frequency it will work with and most of them says will not work with 5ghz.

That looks like a great deal mick I have the ring doorbell and I don't recommend it to anyone they are overpriced junk and if you dont subscribe to them you dont get the videos
Yeah I did see that I will not be getting one
Mine stopped working after six months so basically the motion detector stopped working and it stopped saving videos on my phone

@@themowerman The app you ask me to install is (XSH Cam) But I install, uninstall. I give all permissions and notification but it doesn't work. Only the camera, microphone and horn work perfectly. But notifications when they ring the bell never arrive.

Be nice to see what the night vision is like
Having a $100-$250 device outside your house that can be easily stolen/damaged.. Id rather buy the Chinese clone. Ring should be selling them cheaper since most will need their cloud service. Where I live you got meth-heads stealing people flower pots.. Effin Flower pots.
3 or 4 seconds lag on a doorbell is no bueno
