As part of my edc I have a flipstick cane and a ul poncho from wilderness innovations and amazingly they both fit in my propper usmc assault pouch.
It's really nice to have a seat and the ability to keep myself from getting soaked everywhere I go.
Also the poncho is also a hammock and the flipstick cane can be used in emergencies if you get a sprained knee or ankle.

LOL you're the first person I've seen recommend wearing a big FT jacket as a pack cover but I do the same thing. :)
It's more of a Camino trick but it's worked well for me hiking!

I am 4'10" and weigh 85 lbs. I was wondering how to get my pack weight low enough to be comfortable. You've proven that it's possible! This big jacket idea is super!
