Hi, can you tell me how to make a quilt, do you make alot of small ones and sew them together, or how on earth would you make it big enough for a quilt in one piece. Just found your channel, and love your stuff, I am learning alot.

The felt quilt is made all as one piece. First you lay out your wool, preferably Merino for a quilt. Lay it out like in the ‘How to make a piece of felt’ video. Then you cut out your cotton or silk fabric squares and place them on your project. You can make felt piece as large as you like. It’s a matter of space. You could lay it out on bubblewrap on the floor or a very large table. Would need to duct tape pool noodle and bubblewrap. So large projects can be done if one is willing! Might be best to use table and make four smaller pieces and then sew those.
Check out this beautiful quilt! I got my video idea from @eidrasa

How did you join the edges of the squares together to make the final large quilt?

Hi Teresa, I have only made small quilt pieces and a larger quilt piece using the felting method. I have not attached them together, but I believe the blanket stitch is a beautiful and common method for attaching felt pieces together. You can also use silk fabric as a base and add your felt to it, leaving borders, creating a felted quilt with no stitching. I am not exactly sure what you mean, I hope I can help!
