My daughter’s step grandfather used to read The Night Before Christmas to all the grandchildren every Christmas Eve. The year he got sick with cancer, he found the book with a recording feature. So while he was sitting in chemo, he read and recorded 22 copies of the book, one for each grandchild. Each story has all the joy and laughter and inflection that he had in the story for years. My daughter is now 34 and she still listens to her grandpa read her the Night Before Christmas every year.

Omg i was balling crying when Alex was reading the storybook. I truly miss my grandma so much. She passed away May 17th 2006, and every year its still hard for me to not have her by my side

Kim, You are right losing love ones and not getting over it. Its been 20 years ago this year when I lost my son, I am NOT over it I just try to deal with it. Christmas is REALLY hard as is his birthday and the day he was killed. I am now with a man who treats me right(not the abuse I used to get) He lets me cry and holds me when I do. You are lucky to have Alex and the kids, cherish them Kim. Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Made me tear up in public when you said about how your heart went out to us who lost their loved ones and hard during the holidays. Yes it is. Grieving like you said is hard and never easy. Everyone loves to say to keep busy and keep going but that’s easier said than done. I lost my grandma and dad two months apart from each other this year but I’m glad my life is going well. Just hard and more lonely when especially during Christmas I still have people telling me what I should do with my future or my new job peeps telling me how to speak up when I get bullied. It’s just hard when I’m a nice person or like you said in your videos people pleaser. I learned that we shouldn’t change that about ourselves. But your videos always make me smile and laugh every time I watch it ❤❤ I can feel that you really talking to us and enjoying our virtual friendship with you. Hope to meet you in person one day ❤❤❤

Holy moly you really outdid yourself. Watching you cut all the bars and cookies and boards and crafts and treats and foods all wrapping it up in your sparkle dress. You are the true Italian mom house. My best friend growing up’s mom was Italian and she was where I first discovered the flavor of balsamic in a panzanella salad she made. It was the best thing I had ever had in my kid life and opened my eyes to other flavors. She always served a nice big dinner with “gravy” being the tomato sauce and all of her meals were incredible. This friend and I are still friends from age seven and I’m so grateful to be friends with her after so many years. Her mother made her house a home and let us kids play like she was just in the background holding up the house and we partied on but always knew she was there when we needed her. She was there when we fell off a bike we tried to ride and fell off and skinned our knees. She was the mom you are and I’m so grateful to see this tradition carried on with such joy and love. Your family will remember all of this work even if it may not seem like it some days. (And this is my comment at the 22 min mark. Lol.). You are the Italian mom across the room. ❤

My birthday is the day after Christmas and this year I made myself the peanut butter pie. I doubled the peanut butter part, halved the chocolate mixture, put it in a 13x9 Pyrex and I used nilla wafers for the crust (I needed to use them up). It was so good. New family favorite. Even my husband who doesn’t like sweets said it’s my official birthday dessert. ❤❤

I woke up with the flu on Christmas morning.. still in the thick of sick. Hubby has it too. Luckily our kids are a little older, and they were more concerned with us being sick. And we're German/Irish , so we did presents on Christmas Eve.. Santa is Christmas Day. So we've had an in bed Christmas.

I think that when we had the Covid days everyone was ordering on line and found it so convenient. Good for Amazon but sad for all the businesses, especially employees. I woke up with the flu on Christmas morning.. still in the thick of sick. Hubby has it too. Luckily our kids are a little older, and they were more concerned with us being sick. And we're German/Irish , so we did presents on Christmas Eve.. Santa is Christmas Day. So we've had an in bed Christmas.
Wow, this was amazing and also gives us great ideas!! I think we all want to be at your house for the holidays!! It is sad to see all the stores closing. I think that when we had the Covid days everyone was ordering on line and found it so convenient. Good for Amazon but sad for all the businesses, especially employees. What a beautiful job you did for everyone, the food looked so beautiful, the crafts for the kids(I loved the gingerbread man, I have to get that next year from Costco. I never even saw it.)
