I’ve seen some people complain that the show isn’t what they expected, but for me, the fact that it has subverted expectations is a huge plus. I really enjoyed the first 2 episodes and appreciate that they’re taking time with the world building. I would join this coven in a heartbeat,
What expectations has it subverted? This seems like a comedic horror with Marvel witches and that’s what I wanted and it’s what I got 😂
Not discounting your (or anybody's) opinions, but what we've seen so far is exactly what I was expecting from the trailers.

Yeah, I can’t believe some people are saying it’s moving too slowly. If anything, the second episode could have been split in two to give us more time with each of the new characters. The cast is stuffed with top tier actors and it’s just a delight seeing them play off each other

Loved the idea that this episode was the DnD party being assembled, and now we're off on the adventure going forward! So many mysteries and inter-personal dynamics!

we all joke about mephisto theories but mephisto has a son called the black heart... so.
It might be a coincidence bit too many elements connected to Franlkin Richards are showing up now,I wonder if it's all connected somehow? Again, could be coincidence
He was the villian of the first ghostrider movie ,Hes way different in the comics , he doesnt necessarily want to be evil so his dad mephisto cursed him to have to constantly fight or he would go insane and he always seemed like a tragic figure , he did do alot of really messed up stuff . I think rio is gonna be related to one of the elder gods like gaia who is the earth primordial entity , and rio is an green /earth witch , or one of the evil ones like set . In the midnight suns video game , a big plotpoint is 3 of the charachters have the blood of the old gods like gaia etc so maybe her bloodline is why "mrs hart " has a green thumb and the chant to opent he road worked
My theory is that Rio is a demon summoned by Agatha.

The reason for taking off the shoes was explained in the first image of the ending credits. To walk the witches road you need to go barefoot.

Patti LuPone being in this show makes me wish we were getting a Kristin Chenoweth cameo. Not only is she a Broadway queen but she also played Glinda in _Wicked_ so it'd be the perfect reference

Remember that Agatha said that within a three-mile radius, you could find enough "sufficiently witchy people" to form a coven. Mrs. Douglas' way with plants shows that she has some ability as an Earth Witch, so Agatha does not have to go to Rio (whose black heart beats only for Agatha).

@@richardh776 when someone says its "for the x" they mean its made with them in mind, ie has proper rep and its a normal part of daily life, that doesn't mean non girls or members of the lgbtq+ community can't watch agatha :)
So we've got a divination witch, a protection witch, an alchemy witch, whatever kind of power-hungry witch Agatha is, a level 2 wizard, and... a random muggle woman. And no earth elementalist, which apparently is the most important specialization for the Road. I'm sure this will all go perfectly well without any problems whatsoever...

I don't think that's true. I think it's just Agatha who can't. He didn't seem to notice or realize she couldn't hear it, and if that happened with *everyone* he'd certainly have noticed by now.
I think the stitches across the kid's mouth looked more like a W, and there are other instances of W throughout this episode.
It's okay, Jay: Adam just needs to be reeducated about the Glory that is Patti LuPone and her legendary levels of spite towards Andrew Lloyd Webber.

There two big hints in show one is the "black heart" which is played by Aubrey Plaza's character. The other is Joe Locke's character. Every time tries to speak his name the letter "M" appears. So look's like he wants something from Agatha because it's his son and daughter that pushing Agatha to walk the road again.
YES I’m also loving the ensemble structure. And yeah, I suspect ep2 snagged many of the last laggers. I was honestly hooked from the trailer tho. 😈

Agatha's line about always being with 3 miles of a witch, and the fact that Mrs Davis was the first to break out of Wanda's spell, makes me think she does have witch powers but doesn't realize it. Remember when her husband was choking she was begging for it to stop. She's not the witch that was listed, but I'm guessing she's gonna be revealed to be a witch.
So theory or hot take however you wanna take it. The teen is Wiccan. And Aubrey Plaza could possibly either blackheart or Morgan le fay. I know some people say mommy doom(cythina von doom) but i don't see it.

"...like a dark and spooky Wizard of Oz..." So, just the Wizard of Oz then? For all it's amazing songs and bright colors, there is some seriously spooky stuff in that movie. Now they'd have to go ultra spooky to reach Return to Oz levels. There's already a hint of it with the clip of Fairuza Balk from The Craft in the closing credits. You guys are right though, it oozes yellow brick road vibes. Even them taking off their shoes is keeping in the spirit of the wicked witch of the east (since Dorthy looted her ruby slippers).

Instead of Mephisto or Kidphisto, perhaps Minorphisto?…Eh, not much better out-loud. I also honestly preferred the “Agatha and The Coven of Chaos” title more than “Agatha All Along”, but in the end as long as the show is good the title of the series will be an inconsequential nit-pick.

I know going barefoot leans into the whole witchy vibe, but someone is going to "shoot the glass" and then everyone is going to regret not wearing proper footwear.
How could you guys not play any part of the witch's song? It has so much impact on this episode. Really disappointed.
@@ElysiaFields19 Probably copyright, and it's unsurprising considering this is a Disney show and the company is known for drawing a hard line on certain things. Pretty much everybody on RUclips blocks out almost all if not all music in reaction videos now because they don't want to get flagged ot have their content demonetized or taken down, and I'm guessing the guys here muted all off it in the interest of caution (I've seen RUclipsrs get targeted for less so there's really no telling how much you can or can't get away with at this point). No offense but I'm honestly kind of surprised that there's still viewers of reaction channels who are seemingly unaware of how bad the state of YT has gotten for content creators, it feels like I see a new demonetization/video take-down dispute at least every week now, so again I'm not surprised they were extra cautious in editing this video. It's not really fair to heap the blame on the reactors and/or their producers/editors when they _have_ to edit their videos in a certain way in order to continue posting and profiting off their content, especially with media companies and YT cracking down even harder on what they're willing to allow now. If anybody deserves the disappointment and frustration, it's RUclips and Disney, not the channel itself
