Good luck in Colorado! I love your channel, I have actually started cutting/polishing opal by hand as a hobby. Just working with common opal for now to learn the basics but I'm loving it. There's something about a rough stone becoming a pleasing smooth shape that never ceases to satisfy. I'm on the other side of America so I'll miss the show, but hopefully in the future!

I hope you have a fantastic trip in good ol' Colorado!!!
    Unfortunately,
I won't be seeing you there this time...
Even tho I would LOVE to see "your dad's opal" in person,
Texas is just too far away for a quick trip to the Rockies!
    Oh hey!
I recently read the Aurora Borealis could temporarily be moving a tad South quite soon,
(altho I don't know the dates of that happening...).
I'm also not sure if you would be able to see it from Colorado?
But maybe if you trek up to the top of a mountain one night it would be visable that way!!
    Wouldn't THAT be cool!!!
It would be like watching opals dancing in the sky!!!
    So yeah!
Maybe something for y'all to look into!
    Safe Travels everyone at BOD!!

    Hi Justin,
About "the Rock". I am doing agates and I use a wet grinder with 5 Inches diamond pads when I want to conserve the rock as it is removing only what i want. I start at grit 10 when there are lots of broken spots. It's coarse but it gets you quicker to the finer work. I guess you can start at grit 30 for opals. And you can get pads up to grit 5000 I think.
